I enjoy my visits with Dr. Champaloux and his staff. I wanted a doctor who knows me instead of going to a group of physicians who treat you and have no idea what your medical history is. If I mention an issue in passing he always checks it out immediately. I never have to wait for extended periods of time to be seen which is a blessing. Love Dr. Champaloux.

I love Dr. Champaloux, he is very dedicated, caring and personal, he came to the hospital every day when I was younger and got sick and they didn’t know what it was at first, EVERYDAY. Dr. Champaloux visited me at Doctor’s Hospital. but some of the office staff and billing staff are horrible which can make it an unpleasant experience. I have always waited an extraordinary amount of time for every visit, at least ½ hour, usually 45 minutes-hour. While you are sitting there, there is a sign that is posted from the staff, immature and disrespectful to patients, «An emergency on your part doesn’t make an emergency on my part.» It should be, «Please submit paperwork in a timely manner if you need it back in a timely manner…», not that antagonistic, «an emergency on your part» durp statement, they just HAVE to make that immature snarky quote and keep it posted, shows what they think of the patients. And, the doctor that I love so much MUST see that sign posted on the wall, EVERYDAY. I was double-charged for a recent follow-up visit, charged $ 200 and then $ 150 for the same day, when I called billing, they said they would drop one of the charges, then told me what to pay… they didn’t even consult with Dr. Champaloux’s office to see what my charge should have been of the two charges(important, my last visit was $ 50 more than I normally get charged, I just saw Dr. Champaloux last Sept. for sick visit and got charged $ 150, not $ 200, if she asked, we might find-out I was overcharged the initial visit). I asked Dr. Champaloux’s billing for an adjusted bill, she told me that I don’t have an adjusted bill now, but I can get a receipt(???). She said my insurance paid their share of both of those charges, and the billing won’t send me an updated bill that shows what I actually paid for. UPDATE: I never received a receipt or an adjusted bill. This type of issue isn’t an uncommon occurrence when dealing with Dr, Champaloux’s office, it’s a shame, because Dr. Champaloux is so nice, but some of his staff and his billing make dealing with them an unnecessary hassle. For goodness sakes, please review all your bills and charges and fees from all doctors and services(and from the stores). Keep your records of payment.
