Been going to this shop for about a month now. Have been to it’s sister shop, Bowie One, a few years ago. Didn’t enjoy that shop due to the lack of professionalism and cuts i would get from too sharp clippers. So I approached this location with a bit of reluctance. Read some reviews on here and the barber that I was going to at the time was unavailable. I was tired of looking like a cast away and needed a haircut in the worst way. So i took a flyer on this place, and can say that I am happy I did. My barber is Chris. He’s a cool dude who is thorough. He takes the time to find out exactly what you want. I appreciate that. If he misses a spot, he makes sure to go back and correct it, and won’t let you leave the shop until he does. Looks like all the barbers there have loyal clientele and cut good hair. Only thing I don’t like is that my phone has no coverage in that area. So it messes up my ability to check-​in, making my quest to be the mayor more difficult. They have wi-​fi, but I never ask for the password, because, I’m dumb. Anyway, this shop is very nice and worth a visit for anyone looking for great service and a haircut so sharp, you can cut through oxygen.

Based on the reviews (though limited in number), I decided to come here. I got a bad vibe at first from one of the barbers but once I sat down it was a different story. Dee was very laid back, took instruction well and did a great job with my haircut. There wasn’t much of a line and the music was great (mix of R&B oldies). I’ll definitely be coming back here.

My husband has been a client of Marquette’s for longer than I should say because it will age him, but let’s just say a loooooooong time. He has a standing appointment weekly, so I have had many occasions to pop in for one reason or another. I always love the friendly, family atmosphere (although it’s mostly men, there are some women who get their haircut here and plenty of kids as well). I know you know many barber shops are the opposite, so just know this is a place where you never have to cover your kids’ ears given a conversation. I appreciate that.
My husband always looks fly when he leaves, edged up perfectly! They don’t sell gift cards, but I have paid in advance for my hubby’s cut for birthdays and Fathers’ Days and Anniversaries and alike, so when he goes to pay, he is pleasantly surprised that the bill is taken care of for a month. I appreciated Marquette finding a way to allow me to treat him even though gift cards weren’t available.
The shop is always clean, with two big screens hanging up usually with news or ESPN on. The location is great — right in the High Bridge strip mall. I’ve gone several times and gotten a pedicure/​manicure next door while waiting for my husband or grabbed a hot tea at the Dunkin Donuts. Can’t recommend this shop, and Marquette specifically, enough. Great folks all around!

Very professional and friendly staff! This is the first time I went to get a haircut and ACTUALLY received what I asked for. Very laid back environment. I arrived a half hour before the store opened but I was served immediately. The owner Sean Erby did a great job running this place. Oh and the price was very cheap compared the ones I’ve tried in the area. $ 21 for a haircut, beard trim/​shave AND hair styling. ¹⁰⁄₁₀

I been coming here for a few years now. The gentleman in this barbershop are laid back and professional. Both owners work daily to ensure a high quality of service.
I have been allowing lawrence to cut my hair as well as my son and he has been doing am awesome job. The prices kinda steep but hey if you wanna look fresh it pays to be handsome lol
