I can only speak for the wings a fries and fried rice. The wings and fries are always a hit. I’m kind of mad I found out about them because they’re located next to the gym I go to, so tempting smh. The wings are a good size, well seasoned and just the right amount of crisp. I was never a huge fan of mumbo sauce like many DC natives, but their mumbo sauce makes their wing and fries platter! The fried rice is just average. However, I’m the type to always doctor up fried rice wherever I get it from. But the chicken wings and fries with mumbo sauce are solid!

I live in Fairwood and I must say this place has really good food! They are very courteous to their customers and my food was ready within 15 minutes. Everything was hot and I even had napkins and a fork in my bag! The restaurant is very clean and is not cluttered. They have a vast menu selection for food and drinks as well. The minimum for card is $ 10. Pricing is very reasonable… I will be coming back for more!

very bad customer service. I order a chicken with broccoli with extra chicken and recieved the same amount as usual. when I asked the host about it he was very rude and unprofessional. this isn’t the first time I’ve had problems here. I do not recommend giving them any of your time or money

Their hibachi is great for Carryout. The food is always good and fresh. I’ve yet to be disappointed on any visit. If I had to complain about anything… they put too much cabbage in the veggies but that’s only because I’m not much of a cabbage person. Other than that good food and prices.

I used to love coming here… it was literally on the way home in my favorite shopping center, the staff are always friendly and attentive– and still are. So what’s the problem? Quality. I’ve debated on whether or not to write this as I do like the owner and it is his family that works in the kitchen but the difference in quality between when they first opened and now is such that I feel compelled to write. The last few times I’ve ordered takeout from this place, the food has been plain awful. I know not to expect top notch anything but I expect the food to at least taste good and be fresh. I don’t know if they’ve switched vendors or what have you but the texture and quality of the meat used leaves a lot to be desired. I typically order the same dishes if I like them well enough and I’d ordered steak teriyaki once, hunan chicken in brown garlic sauce at another time and chicken with chinese vegetables in brown garlic sauce– all three dishes, at three different times, were horrible. The meat was rubbery and chewy– it didn’t feel like fresh chicken or beef, at all. It barely looked like it. The texture was off, what flavor there might have been was offset by the slimy consistency of the dishes– and the vegetables had an aftertaste I couldn’t pinpoint but suspect that they were not properly washed prior to cooking. In any event, I’m sad that it has gone downhill like this, I really liked stopping by and picking up a little dinner, shoot the breeze with the guy behind the counter– it started out as a nice little takeout spot in a really nice neighborhood. Neighborhood’s still great, but this establishment no longer is.

Super sad that the Chinese place near my house closed down :(We’ve been trying out a lot of other Chinese carryout. This place was mediocre. They give a large amount of food but it’s kind of bland. We got the general tso’s chicken and the lo mein(all lunch specials) the chicken was pretty good. The lo mein didn’t have much flavor and the fried rice tasted like old rice that was just yellow. The vegetables in the lo mein are fresh and you can tell but that was probably the only good thing about the lo mein. The prices were also decent. But we probably won’t be going back to this place. I guess the search continues for our new favorite Chinese carry out.

It was Saturday night and I was craving Thai Food. Unfortunately, that is the one ethnic food really lacking in South Bowie. I made the mistake of trying to satisfy my craving by going to Top China 88. The customer service is what you come to expect in these strip mall locations(Except no bulletproof glass… yet) [tip: order beforehand!!! They take phone call orders before physical orders.] Anyway, I took a deep breath and tried not to think of the 1k calories I would probably consume. I ordered the steamed dumplings and shrimp curry. Now I noticed a few customers ordered wings, I’m assuming this is their strong menu item(demographics, right?) I can assure you 100% that their steamed dumplings are absolute garbage. The dough to filling ratio was disappointing to say the least. I could write a separate review on the below average dumplings. The curry shrimp was laughable at best. I must have somehow ordered extra onions because there was at least a whole onion worth of strips in my order. The shrimp and broccoli were about all I could eat. Even the brown rice was lacking. The one star is for the portion sizes. They gave me enough«food» for at least three people.

I live i Greenbelt. We have 3 Chinese restaurants in Greenbelt. I drive all the way to Bowie because the food at Top China is far better than any of our local Chinese restaurants. The chicken is actual chicken, not skin. The vegetables are fresh. They are fast and you can see the kitchen so you can also see it appears to be clean.

Typical Chinese carry-out…I will agree with one if the previous writers, their fried rice is pretty awful… I think the best thing this place has to offer is their hibachi menu. It cost a little more money, but it totally worth it.(the only reason I am giving this place 3 stars!) Any time I have gotten anything other than that… typical Chinese, chicken and broccoli, lo mein, etc. it has been pretty awful. If you want good Chinese, pay extra for grace’s fortune!

I don’t get the 4 starts at all! This place is no different then any other Chinese food Carry-out joint. No quality at all. If you want quick Chinese food, this is your place. If you want good food then save your money.

FINALLY, a decent carryout in Bowie. THEFOOD: I had hunan shrimp(and I am SUPERPICKY when it comes to this dish). The shrimp was large, fresh and clean. There were no random of confusing vegetables — so many places add items that aren’t typical. And they asked how spicy I wanted the dish to be which is always a plus. THEATMOSPHERE: It looks like your average carryout, so not much to say there. It is very clean and the staff wasn’t just nice, they were easy to talk to. OVERALL: If you are looking for a carryout that hits the spot on a night when you dont feel like cooking, this is perfect. So many times I feel like I am settling, but that’s not the case here.

The food here is good! It is a very clean restaurant and very inviting! The staff was very friendly and easy going! I had take out from here a couple of times! The food is consistently good and worth coming back for! The food is very fresh and even for a lunch portion, it was more than enough! For a «carryout» restaurant, definitely a clean and inviting place! As previously mentioned, they have a seating area with a big screen television with cable! So while you wait for your food or eat your food, you can watch television! Definitely a good Chinese spot in the neighborhood!

Nice friendly service. My food was cooked to order. The prices were fair. The portions were generous. This is more of a takeout joint but they do have several tables for dining in.

Not very good. The food is cooked piping hot, but the chicken is often over cooked and their fried rice is among the worst I’ve ever had. It’s too bad because their egg rolls are delicious. Once we got all the way home and realized they forgot to give us the sweet and sour sauce for our sweet and sour chicken. We drove all the way back and received no apology whatsoever. I cannot imagine being so indifferent, especially for a new business. We won’t be giving it any more chances.

i’ve been here about 2 times and the food doesn’t impress me despite it being a take-out place. I have had better chinese before. The beef and broccolli, kung pao chicken, and the lemon chicken barely reach the average taste of other chinese take out. The broccoli was too soft in and so were the veges in the kung pao. The lemon chicken was basically sweet and sour chicken nuggets but with lemon sauce. I hope that they will improve it’s great because it’s close by. But for now it’s a meh experience.

Received a menu in the mail the other day — so decided to give them a try for dinner last night. Must say –I am very glad they’re in the neighborhood! They are in the next building over from the Fairwood Safeway. I tried just a sampling of items — egg drop soup, Szechuan wonton’s, spring roll, and General Tso’s chicken. All were very good — especially liked the Szechuan wontons. The place was very clean — the staff REALLY friendly. To me — this is more of a «take out» place — as while the eating area is clean and bright — it’s not quite a restaurant dining room(not much on ambiance) — however eating there would work for lunch. Need to hurry and finish up my leftovers so I can head back soon and explore more of their menu.
