This place is tiny, but otherwise alright, they have a reduced selection of most items, so while you may not find exactly what you’re looking for, you will find something that gets the job done. The Gun and Ammo selection is very good for it’s size, however the Gun prices aren’t very competitive for the area. The knife selection is decent as well, and the employees have generally been friendly and helpful. Overall I’d have given another star if this location was bigger with the entailed better selection.

Went in today on black Friday was one of the first 50 in the door. Went straight for the garmin auto navigation system could not find it anywhere. When we asked a sales associate he tried to find it when he could not he got a manager(Jonathan). We where told there was a mix up and they received the wrong navigation system therfore they did not have the one advertised. We where a little disappointed but where told we could order it and shipping would be free. As we where shopping and waiting to purchase some guns Jonathan continued to resolve the GPS issue. He found us in line to purchase our guns with a navigation system he had just gotten in off a truck. He could have easily walked away and just told us to order it instead he went above and beyond to make sure that we had the items we wanted before we left by tracking us down in the store. Zach helped us with our background checks and despite slow systems from so many people purchasing he got us through the line quickly and efficiently. All in all this was one of the best black Friday shopping experiences I have ever had. I could not believe how helpful all the staff members where. I know I will be recommending Cabela’s to everyone from now on!!!

Pay no attention to Eric C’s two-star review of this Cabela’s, which was so low because he wasn’t allowed to bring his dog(not a service animal) into the store. They don’t allow pets at Ruth’s Chris either, but that’s not a reason to give a bad review. Take your dog to the park like a normal person. Ok, I’m done ranting now. When I moved from Texas to Nashville last year, I thought I was pretty much limiting myself to Gander Mountain and Bass Pro Shop. I love Cabela’s, so I was thrilled to find out that there was a relatively new store just across the KY border! It’s only about a 1 hour 15 minutes from Nashville, which is a totally doable as a quick weekend roadtrip. I’ve been to many different Cabela’s stores, but this one was admittedly smaller than all of the others I’ve shopped at. Despite its size, they still had a great selection of everything. I didn’t buy anything for myself on this trip, but my wife found a few things. There’s a Gander Mountain nearby too, but Cabela’s beats the other big box outdoor retailers hands down. Their prices are also usually lower than Gander Mountain, especially when it comes to firearms. Plus I get great points with my Cabela’s credit card to blow on free ammo. I know people who regularly rack up enough Cabela’s points for free guns, so they can really add up. My dad affectionately refers to Cabela’s as «the whore house,» which I interpret to mean that it’s a place that men go to spend a bunch of money that they don’t tell their wives about. Yup, sounds about right.

This is the first Cabel’s that I have been to that I was not allowed to bring my sporting dog into. My options were to put her in their crate in the back or leave her in the car. I would never put my dog in a crate that could have had sick dogs in it. Also, I would classify this as a micro store. I could throw a rock from one side to the other. Gander mountain across the way was much friendly, larger and much more selection. They also welcome pets, big sign on door. I can say i will not be coming back to this store.

This Cabela’s is new. They told me the opened five weeks ago. Great selection of outdoor gear. I was checking out camping gear and saw a propane stove at a good price. Entrance is alittle confusing. I saw the sign but ended up at Lowe’s at first. You need to make a right before Lowe’s to get to there tucked away spot.
