Calphalon Calphalon Warranty Return

Absolutely could not be happier with the customer service, warranty and of course the product.
We bought a very good set of Calphalon cookware years ago at Macy’s. When I say years ago I’m going to have to guess in the 1980s. Recently a 12″ frying pan was wobbling on the cooktop and a small sauce pan was loosing the interior anodizing.
Sent them back and received two new, in the box products. Since I’d sent in a 1.5 quart sauce pan I was puzzled as to why then sent back a 1.0 quart replacement. Phoned them and was told it had to do with the value since they no longer made our product. After I explained that we really needed that size pan the customer service rep. told me they did make a product that was only sold at Williams Sonoma and offered to send me the correct size in that line.
No charge, expedited shipping!
Even if they did not cover our old set under warranty I’d purchase another set from this company and would not hesitate to urge other to do the same.

Do NOT buy from this company. Their product is crap and you won’t hear anything when you send in your item for warranty. I sent mine in 2÷15÷15 and have yet to receive anything (2 months later). Called in twice and they claimed they didn’t receive it even though tracking shows item is delivered. Stay away, unless your plan is to hit yourself over the head with a pan when you want to call customer service.

Favorite customer service line after buying an 8″ lid that measured 8.75″. So obviously it didn’t fit the pot/​pan I bought it for when it arrived:
‘We have a bit of trouble converting quarts to inches’
They were able to get me a refund, but not the replacement lid I actually need.
(which is probably covered under warranty, but it’s a $ 20 lid so buying a new on is better than paying for shipping 2 ways)
Their warranty service hours are designed for stay at home folks. If you need to actually work 9 – 5 well good luck.
Non-​stick applies to the entire company, not just the cookware.

We purchased the Simply Calphalon Nonstick 10 Piece Set on February 1, 2014 and registered them on February 2, 2014. We purchased them through a great department store that advertised a price of $ 260.00.
Lately, we started to notice nicks and markings on 2 – 3 of the pans, even though we are very careful to use proper methods to use and clean them. Since Calphalon will not allow a store return I emailed them since we could not get through them on the phone («We are experiencing heavy calls…»). I sent the email November 10, 2014 and they answered me on the 11^th. The email from them was almost an exact statement from the warranty. They even suggested that we Register the purchase, which, as you can read… we already did.
Here’s the warranty information from their website. It’s similar to the one in our box., «Calphalon will replace any item found defective in material or workmanship when put to normal household use and cared for according to the instructions. Minor imperfections, surface markings as a result of shipping, and slight color variations are normal. This excludes damage from misuse or abuse, such as improper cleaning, neglect, accident, alteration, fire, theft, or use in a commercial establishment.»
Here’s what they stated when they emailed us, «Calphalon will replace any item found defective in material or workmanship when put to normal household use and cared for according to the instructions. Now, on top of the nicks and markings on the pan (s), I get to endure an insult by having to read a «robot» email from them. I guess that they believe that this was their best «customer care» model.
I’ll give them the benefit on the copy & paste email since it might be difficult to rephrase their warranty statement. After all, I’m sure that their lawyers like the copy & paste template.
So, what do we do? I try to incorporate a financial balance on issues such as this. We decided to not send the 2 – 3 pans to them for their inspection as we have to pay for shipping. I just can’t justify spending another $ 15 – 20 especially when the pans that are nicked and marked are needed by us. I’ve never had to borrow pans from our neighbors before. It is just NOT worth spending any more money on a warranty that can be «subjective» to the reader.
By the way at the end of the email from them it says, «Thank you for being a valued Calphalon consumer and have a wonderful day!

I purchased a set of Calphalon pots for a gift the couple just used them they are the worst pots to buy the color came off of them by hand washing them I contacting them and they won’t do anything about it IT IS THE WORST Company to deal with. First of all in the box the directions were not even for the set of pots these pots are the non stick pots. To pay $ 300.00 for a set of pots and to get crap. So before anyone buys anything from this company I would look into buying something else!!!

i just want to thank and commend calpalon corporation for replacing my two non-​stick omelette/​frying pans. I loved those pans, but they were getting a little feathery inside. I wasn’t sure if it was right to send them back under warranty, and they encouraged me to do it! They quickly sent me two new Unison non-​sticks. Beautiful it is to cook in them.

I sent a pan back that was not performing — they sent a new one, no questions asked four days later.
Well done.

When embarking a new chapter in my life of starting a home from scratch, my former love and I purchased the 10 pc set Simply Calphalon II from Bed Bath & Beyond. Despite of being a non-​cook, I assisted with the preparations of most meals which we fully utilized Calphalon’s cookware to the maximum.
