Super 8 Bowling Green South

We stopped for a night on a drive back home from Florida. It was a really comfy hotel for our family for the night. The beds and pillows were very comfy and we settled in easily after a long day of driving. The one complaint we have is that it was difficult to control the shower water temperature– either too hot or too cold. But it was a really great hotel for a night or a weekend.

Great for a night or two, the continental breakfast great, comfortable beds, small room, shower heads were dirty. In today’s modern world NO motel/​hotel should have stairs with the exception of fire evacuation route steps; an elevator should be available! Hotels with a grand stair case fine great, but they have elevators. I don’t understand why the pool was detached from the building should be available to be an indoor pool. I would recommend it for a couple nights tops!

Tough to rate this place because of some good and some bad. Family and I were here one night and had no idea about the Corvette show going on prior to our booking so this was one of the last hotels in the whole area to have rooms available.
The counter staff each time we had interactions with them were friendly. She also gave us some coupons for the local Waffle House when I asked for any restaurant coupons. She also said that Denny’s gives you 25% off if you show your room key!
The room itself was clean, but the bathroom was a little problematic. The toilet seat slipped off the toilet and I couldn’t get the screw to tighten to avoid a mishap. There was a cigarette burn on the seat, too. The shower was hot but the pressure was not that great even with trying to adjust the head to another setting.
The outdoor pool was nice and warm from the sun, but was poorly maintained because of a 2-​foot outer ring of algae around the whole pool. My kids and I braved it and had a good time, but it was not the best pool.
Free breakfast was continental items along with a waffle station, yogurt, and some drinks.
Fitness room had an elliptical, bicycle, and treadmill.
Wi-​Fi was very slow.
I’d probably give a 3 ½ stars, but because of the friendly staff, I’ll round up to 4. That pool issue really irritated me.
