I’ve been going there for several years now. Great beer selection that has a nice rotation with various craft varieties as well as your standard mass produced products. Pete/Sandy/Sutton who run the restaurant and bar have always been super nice and accommodating when make dinner/drink requests. Food always served hot and usually fast, depending on crowd. Ask Pete about it being haunted from the great Boyertown Opera fire!

This is a great place for families with kids. We started with beers, they have a great selection. Order the Horchata Nitro! We ordered the homemade French onion soup which was excellent. The ribs fall off the bone and even my kids were eating them(not too spicy and perfect amount of sauce). My daughter’s grilled cheese was on rustic homemade bread, nice touch. However, my son’s macaroni and cheese was from boxed Kraft dinner so I was disappointed with that. I hate when restaurants do that. Overall though, reasonably priced kids meals at $ 3.99 each and lots of options.

This place was excellent! Aside from the strange but interesting décor, the food was awesome!

The restaurant, which is a separate room from the bar has ten tables which seat from four to six people each. When we a arrived one table of six was already eating and after we arrived, two more tables of six filled. Two other tables of four were seated as well. That’s half capacity. Apparently that was enough to overwhelm the cook because in the entire half hour we sat there sipping our sodas, I saw no food delivered to anyone. When I told the hostess we’d have to leave if our food could not be ready in a few minutes she told me that there were tables ahead of us and diners in the bar as well. We had just spent 35 minutes with no food. We left. I do not recommend this joint if there are more than a handful of guests there. .unless you have a lot of time to waste.

This is a great little place in Boyertown. I agree that the décor is a bit odd but the food was really good and the selection of craft beers really good. Had the Pierogies for an app. They were not fried, just awesome swimming in butter and onions. The burgers and cheesesteaks super too. Well worth a stop in Boyertown.

I have to say first the food was good. BUT there are 2 downfalls: 1) First we had purchased a $ 25 for this place and the guy told us «they no longer do them» and basically he said we couldn’t have purchased it and we showed it to him and he then said«we stopped doing it a year ago»… 2) Very expensive for being in Boyertown area… So maybe if the staff would have been nicer on the whole certificate I would have gave them a higher rating — but being rude — screw you and you get a one star.

I’m sort of stuck between a three and a four here but I’ll go with four. Friend and I have been wanting to try this since she moved to Boyertown a couple of years ago but finally got around to it this weekend. There’s a lot to comment on but let me just list the pros and cons and go from there. Pros: The food is very good. Super, super-juicy steaks. I had the prime rib and friend had the Delmonico and both were cooked perfectly and so juicy. Portions are also well-worth the price. We both did the combo which, for about $ 24, is a selection of various steak cuts to be paired with either shrimp, Dungeness crab legs and two others(I think a crab cake might be one but not sure.) I got the crab legs and friend go the shrimp. Crab legs were a little dried out but I realize Dungeness crabs tend to lose moisture a lot more quickly that Snow or King crab. My friend liked the shrimp. Veggie and french fries came as a side and both were delicious. Cons: Really bizarre décor and uncomfortable tables. I don’t usually care about décor that much but this was jarring in its strangeness. Think mermaids meet the Wild West meet a redneck bar in Georgia, and all together at the same time. And the tables and chairs are sort of just crowded into a small space and once you are seated, forget about moving if the tables next to you are occupied. You are packed in for the remainder. Service was pleasant but we were rushed to finish our dinners. Granted, we came in during the last hour of full kitchen service but, hey, we just spent almost $ 75 on our entrees and drinks… at least give us the courtesy of asking if we might want coffee or a dessert. I wouldn’t have cared as much if I didn’t see that the kitchen was still open for late night, partial-menu service. Instead, we were given our check as soon as we put down our forks and never asked if we might want anything else. Anyway, if you’re down for a good steak, this place will not disappoint. But don’t get your hopes up for a charming historical or romantic atmosphere. And be sure to go at least two hours before the kitchen plans on closing should you possibly desire a cup of coffee or some dessert as when they get near the close of the kitchen, it is CLOSED.

A nice selection of beers and a very eclectic environment. Awesome french fries. Pasta Specials on Mondays. great burgers too. The bar is separate from the dinning room, so bar noise does not interfere with dinner, but dinner guests can not watch the game if that is what they would like to do.

Wifey and I eat here often and have never had a bad meal. The service is always fairly quick and always with a smile! We ate here this past weekend after my book signing and it was fantastic! I had the Prime Rib cooked medium rare and it was among the best Prime RIb I’ve had. My wife had shrimp scampi and it was above average, but very good for a non-seafood restaurant. Our friend who ate with us had the Delmonico steak and that was very good as well. I highly recommend Durango’s if you are in the Boyertown area and looking for good food and a good price.
