Boykins Beans & Ice Cream

I drove 30 minutes here based on the reviews and had the worst breakfast sandwich of my life. The bagel was clearly the cheapest they could find, so doughy, and the middle of the sandwich was cold. They were between breakfast and lunch but only had 2 sad, old looking Danishes in their pastry case. What kind of coffee shop doesn’t have a plethora of good pastries? I’ll try again maybe for lunch or ice cream but I’m really disappointed that I wasted calories and time on this place. This is coming from someone who normally loves everything and every place she goes too, check my other reviews if you think I’m just a critical person. :(. But, the interior was super cute with tons books and the lady who was running the place was super nice and made the sandwich for me even though breakfast had just finished.

Clean, fresh food, family owned, handmade pizza, juicy burgers, yummy fries, delicious coffee and icecream. Our family eats here at least once a week. We love it! Try taco tuesdays for lunch or seafood fridays for dinner. They also have live music on Saturday afternoons.

I eat breakfast here at this family-​owned restaurant every morning when I’m in town – usually the Belgian waffles with whole blueberries on top. But forget about that. What makes this a full 5 stars is their coffee. It’s a big deal for me to say this, but they have the BEST COFFEE I’ve ever had. I’m planning on taking a few bags of it to friends at home.
They are open for breakfast and lunch, but close @ 2 PM. They have Free Wi-​fi so I stay a little longer each morning… to Unilocal of course!
