We found out about BlueGreen Vacations through a Home and Garden show. The sales man offered a 3 day/2night stay in the Blue Green condos at Boyne Mountain for $ 200 but with $ 225 in incentives(M.C. Gift card and food gift cards). We had up to a year to make reservations anytime we wanted. All we had to do was listen to their 90 minute timeshare presentation. We thought why not? Making the reservations was pretty painless. The reassured us that are incentives would be given after the presentation. We asked about he Avalanche Waterslides because this was one of the few things my 4 year old son could participate in. They told us we’d get a discount for tickets and they we may only want to purchase a half day ticket because a young child will tire out fast. Check-in was actually sort of confusing. We had to check in at two different places: the preview center then the actual club house where the condo was. This is where I had my main issue with BlueGreen. Clearly their communication is off because the when asking about the water slides they reassured us we’d get discounts for being guests. Well after the presentation my son was stoked to go to the water slide so we rushed to get dressed and head out. Walking up to the center there was a sign saying it was closed for two weeks. You’d figure that Bluegreen would know this. Have you ever see your kid put his chin to his chest, stick out his lip and do the slow cry like his feelings have been hurt… like a for real hurt… not a whiny thing. Makes a Dad(and drill sergeant) want to swiftly execute a throat punch to the closest BlueGreen representative. Luckily we found an outdoor heated pool at the Grand Lodge and it made a good alternative. The presentation itself was only 60 minutes or so. Each family had a sales rep assigned to them. Now keep in mind the salesman or there to make the biggest buck. With that being said they offered what they said was their best offer. 20k points for $ 40k with only $ 6000 down. Yea right! With every«No» they supposedly give me their«best» offer. They weren’t pushy at all, but that fact that they weren’t up front with their information made it an uneasy feeling for me. I politely said no thanks and they were totally cool about it. The condo was what you’d expect out of a condo. It was older and not renovated(supposedly they have been renovating for the last few years), so the old hide-away bed was uncomfortable for my son(arent they all though), but it was fully furnished with everything you needed to live. All you really needed to bring was food and clothes. My suggestion is if you want a nice few day get away and dont mind the presentation then this is a nice package. I suggest calling Boyne Mountain to see the timeline though. Obviously BlueGreen and Boyne dont have clear communication all though they’re suppose to be partnered. Oh yea… and the food vouchers can’t be used up their, but they work for local restaurants around my town so it works out.

This is a nice resort but when you find a drop of blood on both your comforter and PILLOW, you just can’t help but feel disgusted. And then you wonder… Why? Why not clean it or have it removed? That’s just wrong.

This is a nice resort to stay at, especially if you are a skier or snowboarder. The one thing that I didn’t like was I felt that the hot tub and pool were very small. I also didn’t like the location of the resort, there is hardly anything to do in the town where it is located. In order to do anything worth while, you have to drive 1 – 2 hours away, to see marimac Island, or the sleeping bear sand dunes state park. The good thing about the resort is that there are double doors, to which you need a key to enter, and there is free wifi to use as well.

This place is fantastic. This is the second time we have stayed here and the experience was great with a ski in ski out 2 bedroom 2 bath jacuzzi suite. All great for except one somewhat big issue. The WiFi. I was excited this year versus last year because the signal was very strong this time. Indicating that they addressed my complaint from the previous stay. Well somewhat. Yes the signal was very strong but the bandwidth was, how you say, terrible. While anywhere, I need to work and this makes things difficult when trying to balance vacation and being out of the office and first quarter when production is crucial. Please spend the money to increase bandwidth during popular weeks/weekends.

We took the deal at Bass Pro Shops for the 2-night stay. I found the facilities to be nice, much better than your standard hotel room. It had a full kitchen, full bath, 1-bedroom and a sleeper sofa. Laundry facilities were also provided with the condo. My only complaint is that the condo provided was a little dated. Bluegreen later informed us that they are renovating several of the buildings and are doing it in stages. Yes, we had to sit through the sales pitch. It lasted almost 3 hours which I felt was lengthy considering we told them no about 5 times including right up front. I did this for a quick getaway and Bass Pro gift cards. Our salesperson was Jennifer. While we didn’t buy, she seems like a nice lady and I would recommend her to you if you were in the time-share market. One area of notice is that Bluegreen has a serious lack of communication between their divisions. You actually have to check in in two different buildings. One is the presentation/sales building and the other is the«front desk.» Why? BTW-one desk couldn’t answer questions and likewise the other could not either. Instead they simply referred you to each other. Aggravating. Also, the front desk boasted their amenities card for value savings around the resort. However, the clerk had no information on exactly where you could enjoy savings. Not very helpful. We learned there is no savings at Avalanche Bay indoor water park. Also, we were told that there was an indoor pool that we could relax at and a play area for the kids but alas we were given zero information about the property’s facilities and the kids’ play area was buried in five feet of snow. Bluegreen seems to sell an honest package if you plan on using it and can afford it. Do your research online and compare to Disney and Marriott. Disney crushes Bluegreen in overall quality, service and customer satisfaction while Marriott offers considerably more options.

My husband is a timeshare owner for Bluegreen and we have stayed here multiple times. The condo’s are spacious, clean and modern. We have entertained one other couple to five other individuals and have always had enough space. There are plenty of plates, cups, silverware, etc. Beds are comfortable. Bathrooms are spacious. The living room offers a fireplace, which would be nice in the winter. We have always stayed in the summer, and have never utilized it. The staff are great. They will bring extra towels, trashbags or fix anything that is needed. The location is great… It’s close to Gaylord, Petoskey, Charlevoix, and not far from Mackinac Island. Swimming pools are plentiful and laundry facilities are available if a washer/dryer isn’t in your condo. The village offers a couple different bars/restaurants, a Kilwin’s chocolate shop, a clothing store, a Michigan wine/beer shop and gift shop, a Boyne Co. sports store, and a candy store. In the summer they offer a TON of activities for children and families. These often include smores and bonfires, crafts, zip lines, bicycle rentals, tie die t-shirts, scavenger hunts, etc… I love this place. Have spent many a summer here and will enjoy many more.

We stayed in a two bedroom and the accommodations were great. A nice sized kitchen with most amenities, pots and pans, and utensils. The couch and beds were comfortable. The patio deck was a nice bonus overlooking the ski hill. The bath room was decent sized and clean with plenty of fresh linens. The on site washer/dryer was useful and free, and the bar is only a 5 minute walk. I liked the wood cabinesque décor with the bright wall paint and found the condo very cozy. I’d like to come back and stay again. It’s close to Boyne City which has a bunch of little boutiques and Café Sante, which is an amazing little Belgian bistro, and it’s also a short drive to Petoskey or Traverse Bay.

We are timeshare owners with Bluegreen Corp and come up to Mountain Run at least once per year. We have visited fall and spring, and find plenty of things to do despite it being«off season.» We have stayed in both 1 bedroom and 2 bedroom condos. The condos are well maintained and the staff is helpful.

I stayed here at a 2-bedroom condo during ski season and my first trip to Boyne Mountain. These condos are run by Bluegreen Corp which is a timeshare operation. We are not timeshare owners at all but found one of these condos available for rent via craigslist. We had a very good time here and were not forced in any way(or even invited) to a timeshare presentation(yeah woo hooo!). Once we exchanged the funds online with the timeshare owner he was able to make the reservation in my name and send me an online confirmation from Bluegreen well before our trip. The condos are quite modern and feel nearly brand new. Ours had a full kitchen including full size stove, fridge, and dishwasher as well as plenty of plates, cups, pots & pans, silverware, etc. We just brought the food and enjoyed making our meals here. The best thing was having the convenience of literally skiing right to the front door step of our condo for lunch or to head in at the end of the day. Getting back on the lifts from our door was just as easy. Note that not all the condos on this site are right on the slope, there are maybe 2 – 3 of them that are set back just a bit and would only require a 2 minute walk to get on or off the slopes. The two bedroom, two bathroom condo we stayed in had a stand up shower as well as a jetted tub in the master bedroom. The master bedroom has a TV and private balcony too, which in the case of our unit faced the slopes and was super-awesome! You could watch people coming down the Superbown and FIS black diamond runs all day if you wanted to. Some people brought their kids out to play on the base of the slopes around sunset as these particular black diamonds are not lit at night and close at 4:30 pm to skiers. The main clubhouse has a couple of internet enabled PCs. If you bring your own computer there is a direct high speed Ethernet connection to the internet in every condo that is free of charge. The clubhouse also has a small exercise room and an indoor hot tub — maybe big enough for 12 people but not very enjoyable. Instead I would recommend going over to the main Boyne Mountain resort and use their outdoor heated pool and hot tub, also free of charge. That tub holds about 50 people and really is an great place to look up at the slopes and enjoy winter! If you search on Boyne Mountain I also have a review there of the skiing experience. In short the combination of the Bluegreen condos and Boyne Mountain skiing is excellent and I would highly recommend it!
