Chris’s Taverna is awesome. Out server, Victoria was great and the food is perfect in every wy. I would recommend this place to anyone!

I can’t believe I haven’t reviewed this place. I have been going to Chris’ Taverna for years. Mostly the other location. But this place has the same quality food. It’s one of my favorite Greek restaurants in south Florida. The portion sizes are great, the food is fresh and really flavorful. I don’t know where they buy their tomatoes from but it’s always so ripe and delicious. I usually get the octopus appetizer, the fried calamari, mussels, and the Grecian platter which comes with lamp chops, gyro meat, and souvlaki. The desserts are also fantastic. Their wraps and salad are also great for lunch.

No matter what you order, it will be really good, and a big size.
The only problem is that with that many food there is no room for dessert.

I don’t really leave reviews but I honestly have to say that I am obsessed with this place! The food is the best tasting food ever! I usually get the gyro wrap or salad and both are extremely filling. The feta fries are the best fries in town! Everyone should try this place! I try to go at least once every couple weeks!

You’ve never had octopus done this well. Generous portions, always grilled perfectly tender. I almost always order it.
And when I don’t… you can’t go wrong with the souvlaki. Tender chunks of pork, well seasoned. Yum!

They are serving great Greek food that is more than most can finish for lunch. Our party of 3 had a great feast, mine was the Shrimp Santorini that had a wonderful sauce that was scooped up with the warm pita bread. The beef and the chicken salad platters were a great mound of food for the ladies. This one does not have desserts so we took the 5 minute drive to their other location, sat outside and had some dessert and Frappes (Greek cold coffee– try it & luv it). Excellent!

Met a friend for lunch here last week and wow this place is awesome! Located in shopping center with plenty of parking and easy to get in and out. I was new to this area and really enjoyed it. They have tables outside and a decent sized dining area. Although they get so crowded they could use a bigger place. Great lunch prices and excellent quality food with a good sized menu as well.
From the moment we sat down in the dining area our server was fast, efficient and very friendly. We started with some grape leaves and a hummus platter. As we sat there enjoying our conversation our food arrived. The portions are huge, the food is super fresh. Both dishes were fabulous. My eyes were sparkling as I saw so many delicious dishes going to other patrons tables. Oh I so wanted a gyro platter but I just couldn’t eat anymore. I am looking forward to going back and having some other dishes. From what I saw everything looked incredible.
Prices very reasonable, very clean restaurant, excellent quality of food with great service!

I feel it’s about time I say a couple things about one of my favorite restaurants. This place never disappoints. From apps to dessert, nothing but the best! We get it to go and dine in as well. I love everything and everyone who works at Chris’s.
It’s hard to point out specifics. My go to is the grilled octopus Greek salad when I’m trying to be healthy. If calories didn’t matter, I would be all about the Pastitcio! I call it Greek lasagna, but honestly, Italians only wish they knew the recipe!
I recommend Chris’s to everyone I know!
On a side note; we were celebrating my birthday tonight, no one said anything to our server. She must have heard us and the entire staff came over to sing. Usually annoying, but when they show up with a fabulous dessert… I forgive !

Want extremely fresh, delicious, reasonably priced Greek food? Look no further. Chris’s is possibly the best restaurant in the area. I have been coming here for years every time I visit, and they are always so kind to my family. It has been consistently great, no matter what we order. The service is always excellent.
They start you with warm, soft pita and dip. I recommend the mousaka, it is layers of beef and eggplant, with other layers. It is excellent. And, of course the gyros! So fresh and excellent every time. This restaurant is comparable to my favorite Mediterranean restaurant in New York. I will be back soon, and recommend you go too!

Can’t get enough of this place! If you only order one thing, do yourself a favor and get the souvlaki salad with ½ gyro meat. Incredible dish.
Make sure you tip the wait staff well! They always seem to be on top of things.

BEST GYRO I’VE EVER EVER EVER HAD!
Tomatoes tasted like they were picked out of the backyard, and I loved everything about this place. Outdoor seating was nice for people watching, but we had a couple annoying groups near us who spoiled some of the experience. I would come back ALL THE TIME if I still lived here.

Wanted to try a new Greek restaurant so I gave Chris a try. Service is good and the food was ok but I’ll stick to the Greek restaurant in Delray
beach.
Still looking for a Greek restaurant who serve veggie Moussaka

I was seated immediately upon arrival and the server brought our drinks, respectively. Service was pleasant, but the «specialty dish» I tried needs some serious help. I give Chris’ Taverna three stars for service, two stars for the food.
I used to frequent an authentic Greek restaurant while stationed in Europe, and am very much a fan of Mediterranean/​Greek food. I think that’s my problem, right off the bat: I’ve had the best of the best Greek food, and my standard is already too high.
I ordered the Shrimp Santorini, which came with a Greek house salad. The salad was a large portion– all the greenery was fresh/​crispy, red onions, feta, tomato, Kalamata olives (BEWARE: NOT PITTED), olive oil. When my Shrimp Santorini came out, I was completely underwhelmed. The portion was large, but I value quality over quantity when it comes to any meal. It was a hodgepodge of peas, rice, canned tomatoes (which I hate because you can taste the can), over cooked shrimp with a mountain of melted cheese on top. I forced a few bites, but I just couldn’t bring myself to eat anymore-I’d seen enough. My friend ordered a gyro, which was also a large portion served with fries. She ate half, and took the rest home, no complaints.
Our server came to see how everything was, and my friend spilled the beans about my disappointing food. He asked if I wanted a to-​go box, but honestly, someone would have to pay ME to take that food home. He was apologetic about my experience and offered us dessert. By then, my appetite was gone but my friend wanted to try the homemade Baklava anyway. (She liked it).
Unfortunately, my relationship with Chris’ Taverna ends here. I’m no Gordon Ramsay, but my recommendation would be to use fresh ingredients instead of canned goods.

I wish I knew how to quit you, saganaki. But until I do, I’m so happy that there are places like Chris’ Taverna to make my cheesy, melty, gooey dreams come true!
Their gyro meat is exceptional, and I’ve had it as the plate, the sandwich, and a top of the Greek salad. All of them are outstanding, huge, and enough for two meals!
I love that they give you hummus and pita when you order dinner, because invariably, I am so hungry when I get there, it’s hard for me to wait! Plus, the minute you walk in, the smell beguiles you completely.
Oh, and by the way… their lamb chops also totally rock!

I usually don’t even consider Greek restaurants. Not that I don’t like them, just don’t think of them. Well, my brother in law suggested this spot so we all went over, all five of us. What a great place!
Service is quick! It was a crowded night, looked like an hour wait. We got a seat in five minutes. The menu is quite large with many excellent choices. We ordered and the food just began to appear! The food itself? Excellent, tasty, simply fantastic.
OK, so in a moment of weakness I got dessert. Baklava (sp?) It was fantastic too!
All-​in-​all a great place, reasonably priced, and I’m looking forward to going again.

Sounds weird but however restaurant is in a mall betweem TJ Max and some chinese shops, you feel like being in a terrace Mediterranean style. Night was nice, not hot, some breeze so we enjoyed an octopus salad, gyro and a saganaki cheese for starters.
Portions are big so don’t get crazy ordering a lot. Recommended if you are in the area and want to enjoy some greek food. Not spectacular but good.

I had been wanting to try Chris’ Taverna for a while. I now regret not trying this Greek themed gem sooner.
My friend and I stopped by late afternoon on a Saturday and the place was absolutely packed. A foretelling good sign.
We ordered an appetizer of hummus, which came with pitas and also a plate of tzaziki sauce as well. The app was more than the two of us could finish, and delicious as well. We both ordered wraps, I had the gyro wrap with side of greek fries and she had the veggie wrap with side of lemon garlic potatoes. My gyro wrap was huge! overflowing with delicious lamb and beef. The greek fries with the feta were yummy as well. The lemon garlic potatoes were really good too.
The portions were huge! Service was great as well. Really impressed and will be back for more.
