Came for an impromptu breakfast when I arrived a little too early to my office. Free wifi, seated immediately, food arrived quickly, and had your typical diner food. I had the #1 breakfast special: 2 eggs, home fries, toast, and free marble cake. Nothing spectacular, but for $ 5.25 it’s an easy breakfast deal. Waitstaff was efficient and polite!

Food is really terrible. I had a corn beef sandwich which was all fat and inedible. I threw it out. Never had a potato Knish that bad! I threw it out. Bagels were soft and tasteless… Rye bread was OK… It’s a place I will a avoid in the future… It was also very dirty!

Had the mini brisket sandwiches which came with sautéed onions on halal bread with au jus. Also sides of slaw and latka. Very filling and very good. Place reminded me of Katz of Manhattan. Worth a try.

As much as I want to give this place a decent review I simply can’t. The service seems to always be sub par and the food is mediocre at best. I know that it was on the Travel Channel and plenty of people rave about the oversized sandwiches, but in reality it simply isn’t that great. The worst part about dining here is that they always seem to be out of something, especially, when it comes to certain flavors of bagels. I will say it seems to be one of the few places where we can find belly lox which is particularly important to my fiancé as this is his preferred type of lox. Try Dune Decks Mimosa Café instead. It’s right up the street on Jog and much better. I guess New Yorkers are willing to settle for this type of food because they missed the Jewish delis in New York

Us to waiter«do you have any napkins?» His response«not on me» and keeps walking. Consistently good food, consistently indifferent service. Lack of other options serve this place well.

Good bagels but skip the bialys! They are awful! I threw them right into the trash!

I only gave it 3 stars because the wait staff need to be trained in manners & customer service. I watched the patron at the next table ask the waitress if she could box up her uneaten food. The waitress remarked, «It’s not part of my job! This is not an upscale restaurant.» But she did it anyway. The carpeted floor always appears to need to be swept, cleaned, or vacuumed. The food is Kosher style and tastes excellent. The corn beef and pastrami are moist & tasty. This is why many patrons return. Also, the prices are reasonable. If they could polish their wait staff and clean up the floor, this place could get 5 stars.

The line was out the door at 1pm on a Wednesday but had died down by the time we left at 2. The number of older people with New York connections sheds light on how good the food is. The meat in particular is excellent. The potato pancake was so-so without much potato to it. Service was also very good. Worth the trip though Ben’s in Boca is also good and closer to us Broward County residents.

Miss your grandmother? She’s probably here… Or has been here. Jewish geography at its best. You will see young and old alike. Corned beef, pastrami, blintzes, chicken soup, potato pancakes… ALL like you had at an old time sedar! Oy, so good! The matre d will even yell at you if your party tries to be seated before all are present and accounted for… Just like home. Jewish guilt served up for free. Great Deli… Spoiler Alert: take your life in your hands in the parking lot and wake up the old dude selling the papers out front and tell him I said hi! Come and enjoy!

Upon entering in through the bakery, I had to peruse and see what I might buy when I was leaving… I found hamentashen! I was certainly not leaving without that! While being led to our seats, this had a smaller feel of the Marietta Diner(in Marietta GA) with a strong feel of Flashback Diner(in Hallandale Beach) mixed with Pach’s Place(in Tampa), all of which are not fabulous, yet pretty good… We were greeted by Christina who got our drinks for us as we flipped through the huge menu. When I say huge, it not only had so many items on it, they were REALLY big physically. Christina brought us a lovely marble cake to nosh on while we ordered and waited on our food, which didn’t take very long at all. I had the 2 eggs over medium(with the whites done) and bacon and tomato slices with a cinnamon raisin bagel. The eggs were just a touch over done, but better over than under, I always say! There were 2 tomato slices and I thought, in exchange for the home fries, I should have more than 2… Christina was so nice! She snuck me 2 more! And the cinnamon raisin bagel came with both butter and cream cheese. It was a nice size and toasted lightly and tasted really great! A pretty darn good bagel! The entire meal was really tasty! My mother had the 2−2−2(eggs pancakes and bacon) and my husband had the chicken salad club with a potato latke and apple sauce and the half sour pickle. He really enjoyed his and so did my mom! This place is good for what it is and the bakery had some of the most typical things you find in a Miami(ish) bakery that I cannot find in Tampa. I’m glad my mother moved to this area so I have a new place to get my bagels and some of my favorite baked goods. :) Will definitely be coming back!

Giving three stars because the food is very good. The customer service from the manager is horrible. I asked for a menu for a large catering order and because I didn’t have a fax machine — he told me come in or else no menu. I live in Miami. I asked him to text it and his reply was a rude we don’t have time to send a text. After a few rude exchanges from the manager he remembered the catering menu was on the website and directed me there. I didn’t even wan to order from them at that point because of his take it or leave it attitude. I guess a 650.00 order is not worth it to him. I ordered anyways and I was called back to say that they wouldn’t deliver where I wanted him to. If the owner reads this, your manager does not care about customer service and or losing large catering orders. Too bad.

If you are looking for a deli type restaurant, then this is the place. It’s always crowded and very consistent. I enjoy the dill cranberry sandwich and at BOGO it’s a deal. Staff is nice but some of the waitresses have been worn down by the clientel so they come off brisk. Love the bobka!

I went to the bakery and bought bagels, pastrami and apricot hamentashen cookies. The experience was great from the clerks asking to help and them giving me a moment to take it all in as a first timer. The banter going on with other clerks helping other customers. To the moment when I finally decided what I wanted and an elderly clerk treated me like family. The pastrami was cut and wrapped and warm. When I got home and opened it I was blow away by the wonderful smell and the moisture level was perfect. The meat was tender and flavorful, spot on. The pumpernickel bagel was fresh and honestly for a non New Yorker the best I’ve had, and I have had a lot. The hamentashen was devoured on the ride home and I am contemplating not saving the second one for my wife. I will be back to Flakowitz soon, I strongly recommend a visit.

Didn’t read the reviews… I had a turkey Reuben for lunch with a potato latke. The sauerkraut was wrapped inside the turkey, so the bread wasn’t soggy. The best deli I have had in years! The cole slaw tasted like the deli slaw I grew up having. My husband had the same with fries. He enjoyed it as well. The other person in our party had eggs, French toast and bacon, one of the breakfast combinations. Eggs were cooked as ordered over easy. Again, refreshing to get things as ordered. Typical line for a table and fast-talking waitstaff you’d expect from a deli. Little noisy. Prices are slightly lower than I expected. Gave it 5 stars because I really enjoyed the food. There are so few real delis left in S FL.

Gary our waiter was super friendly and helpful! The food was awesome and we will for sure be back. We ordered the Rachel and brisket sandwich both were fabulous. After I had to get a cookie which was the best part of the mean for sure!

I visited on Farther’s Day at 10:20am hight of service. Long lines, but moved quickly so don’t let the line scare you off. Service was friendly and fast. Food was great. Corn beef was lean and very tasty. Home fries potatoes were made fresh and very good. Bagels were perfect, no Lenders or Publix Brand here. Bakery display is what old time bakeries was like. Great place for breakfast.

I am continuing my review, so my first experience was definitely an excellent one. The food was surprisingly absolutely delicious and the staff are very nice and very kind and very informative. I must say that for some reason I’ve been hearing that a lot of my moms friends who live in the Boynton Beach area mostly Jewish have said to me the reason I don’t like going to flakowitz was because they felt that the staff was very snotty and rushed them in and out. Now my own opinion is that is a typical attitude of the elderly Jewish community and it’s very hard to please. So I am bringing my mom here in hopes that we have another great experience with food and everything else being superb

I ordered a bunch of Charlotte Russe here for my father in law’s birthday party and it was a HUGE hit. All of my in law’s friends who live in the area were surprised and asked where I got them. My husband said Flakowitz should be writing us a thank you note for advertising for them! :-D My husband, his sister, her husband and I were throwing my father in law a surprise 80th birthday party and instead of a cake we opted for Charlotte Russe and Napoleans. Because my mother in law said growing up in NYC my father in law’s favorite childhood dessert were Charlotte Russe. I have never heard of them, let alone had one and basically this is what it is: 90% whipped cream, 10% sponge cake topped with a cherry. You push the cake up from the bottom as you go, but you have to do it slowly or there would be no Charlotte Russe ;) . As for the people working there, honestly when I went in all I did was placed my order with a big bearded gentleman behind the far counter. Based on the reviews here and my mother in law’s past experience she said that the service is very«mean» and«rude». So I didn’t expect small chat or even a smile. And I didn’t get either — which was fine — because I wasn’t dining there and like I said I wasn’t expecting them to be friendly. I came up to the counter and told the man I wanted to place an order for Saturday pick up at 10:30. He asked me what I wanted and I told him and he wrote everything down and handed me the receipt and told me to go to the front register to pay(this all took place in less than 8 minutes) .The guy behind the register was a thin guy who also didn’t say much or nor smile but rounded up my order pretty quickly. Overall MY experience was uneventful. Took a total of 10 minutes. Not bad. However, my sister in law who was the one that came in to pick up my order(I gave her my receipt) had a not so uneventful experience. She came in Saturday morning and they hadn’t boxed the pastries yet so the guy behind the register told her to sit and wait and while she waited she asked if she could have a cup of coffee(she wasn’t expecting to get a free cup of coffee– she wanted to order a cup and pay for it and the guy told her to grab a number and«go order over there!»). According to her, he spoke to her very rudely. Now granted, this was probably HER fault for even asking, my husband agreed. Kind of reminds me of the Seinfeld episode with the Soup Nazi. You should expect the experience to not be pleasant therefore people should not be bent out of shape when they’re not greeted with friendly service. Note to everyone coming here: know what you want before even coming here, then grab a number, get in line to place your order. Pay with a credit card and don’t hold up the line counting your coins because it would upset the people behind you and especially the people behind the counter. Don’t dilly dally, looking at the the desserts behind the counter either– the guys behind the counter don’t seem like they have the patience for someone who would take forever and say«ummmm…hmmmm…uhh soooo… what’s good here?» Or «what do you recommend?». You’ve been warned other than that, Mazel Tov!

Still serving a lot of food, most of it kind of bland. No complaint about portion size though. Hostess and waiter no personality. Our table busser had some charm though. I could write this review in my sleep since it never seems to change. There is always a line waiting to be seated so it is important for them to be turning tables over quickly. Go here if you are hungry but if you are looking to sit for awhile with friends and talk, then you need to find somewhere else to go.

Not a fan. Place is crazy busy and I don’t know why! This place is so dang expensive I was turned off once I opened the menu. We ordered a kids french toast it was one slice of bread nothing else not even a little fruit for 5 $. Honestly not a fan at all I am sorry. Gave it a chance and will not be coming back…
