Captain Chris is very professional but the trip is super chill at the same time.
He helps show you the techniques which is great if you don’t know much. or anything. about fishing.
He helped us catch huge sail fish and then took us where we caught a ton of snappers.
He also filets all the fish for you.
I thought it was pricey at first but it was definitely worth every penny.

Our group of five had a great morning fishing with Chris. At the outset we had a few folks more committed to a nice boat ride than fishing. In the end we fished up a storm and everyone landed a beauty. We caught Wahoo, King Mackerel and shark. Chris knows where to go, what to use and is a really nice guy to boot. He employs an amazing (to this newbie) kite-​fishing system to keep the bait near the surface. Checked off a bucket list item (35 lb. fish!) for one of us!

We had a fantastic time fishing with Captain Chris. We’ve done a few other local charter fishing trips, but Capt. Chris was the most knowledgeable (and genuinely friendly) that we’ve experienced — he knew exactly where to take us, and the kids had a fantastic time reeling in almost 20 fish (14 of which we were able to keep). The family is already clamoring for their next fishing trip with Capt. Chris.

Captain Chris was so wonderful, personable skilled. His knowledge of the area was so great we came home with more fish than the 6 people can eat in Two days. We will be doing this again

Chris is fantastic. You will not be disappointed! We hooked 2 sailfish and a 22+ lb mahi mahi, plus dinner many times over. Bring a cooler, you’ll need it. He is very knowledgable, knows where to float, helps you to bring your catch on board with proper technique. This is not the bells & whistles tour boat but a great charter for true sports fisherman.

Captain Chris is a fantastic captain. We just returned from a ½ day charter and had a great time. Chris was very professional, friendly and personable. He is an excellent fisherman and very efficient. He put us on fish and made sure everyone had a blast, as well as learned a little about fishing. I would definitely use him again when in the area.

Captain Chris is an unbelievable fisherman, worker, and professional. I hadn’t been on a charter for years until my Dad and I went out with Captain Chris. We were getting bites within minutes of settling into our first spot. Chris never stops working and is always on the lookout for the best possible experience. Because of his incredible awareness he spotted an 18lb Mahi-​Mahi chasing a flying fish while we were moving spots. He immediately stopped the boat, whipped it around, and threw a baited line in. My family and I had a great fishing experience thanks to Captain Chris. It had been a while since I had booked a private charter and I was really looking forward to it. Captain Chris did not disappoint. He is very focused on what you are there to do. Catch Fish! We began by quickly locating and catching some prime bait which we filled the live well with. Chris was very hands on and never stopped working. We had a great day on the water catching fish, fighting fish. We even hooked two sailfish at once. I credit that to the captains drive to find the fish. Looking forward to my next trip down to Florida and fishing with Captain Chris.

We come down to Fl every year and fishing is always on the itinerary. In the past, we’ve gone out on party boats with varying degrees of success and enjoyment, This year, we decided it might be worthwhile to try and charter a boat ourselves. That was the best decision I’ve made in a long time! Chris is an incredible, kind, fun and an amazing guide. I brought my 10 year-​old twins out and Chris could not have been more patient and engaging with them. He made a point of explaining everything he was doing, showing them tips for casting and fishing in general and, most importantly, he kept looking for fish until he found them!
It was an overcast day with rough waters so Chris kept us in the inlet and trolled around until he hit the jackpot. We landed in a spot where the kids were reeling in a fish every 3 – 5 minutes and loving it! When they caught smaller fish, Chris was just as excited as when they caught larger ones — it was awesome. He explained what each of the fish were, posed for photos and encouraged the boys to touch the fish and learn about them. When we got back to the dock, there were some pelicans there and he even encouraged the kids to feed them so they could see them up close.
I fish a lot and have done on many party boats and charters in FL and NY and I can say without reservation, this was one of the best fishing experiences I’ve had!

Went fishing with Capt. Chris for the second time this year. Both times he was waiting at the dock at first light with a smile and live wells full of bait. On this day the weather was pretty nasty with winds at 20mph out of the NE. He called prior to departure time and informed us that the seas were 4 – 6 feet with some bigger occasional sets. He was aware that my 12 y/​o son would be with us and he did not want him to have a bad experience. I told him my son had been in rough seas before and that my brother was in town from Georgia and asked him his opinion if the fishing would be worth the weather. He said that the sailfish love the rough weather, which was perfect since this trip was booked for my son’s good grades and he wanted to catch his first sailfish! We decided that we would give the trip a try and was gracious enough to offer that if when we got out if the weather was just too bad we could return to the dock and we would work something out. It was great to know he was more worried about our group having a great time than just getting a paycheck.
On the way out of the inlet Capt. Chris was extremely attentive to our safety and navigated the very rough seas like a true pro, we barely even got wet! Once we got out to the fishing grounds he began setting out the live baits, pilchards on flat lines and goggle eyes on the kites. To our surprise Capt. Chris’s 27ft Conch was very stable and handled the rough seas very well. Before we even got the second line into the water we already had a fish on! The action remained very steady throughout the trip and we ended up with 8 nice Mahi Mahi, 5 tuna and saw an awesome sight of a kingfish chasing a goggle eye on the kite line!
With dinner on ice in the fish box it was time stay in shallow, around 100ft, over the reef where Capt. Chris explained there is sometimes less action but the sailfish had been biting. In less that 30 minutes one of the flat lines bent over and the show was on! It was a sailfish and what and acrobatic display he put on jumping four or five times. Capt. Chris made sure that my son got the rod and navigated the boat perfectly allowing my son to land his first sailfish, approx. 6 ½ feet in length! It was the perfect end to a great trip.
What sets Capt. Chris’s trips apart is not only does he have the local knowledge to put you on the fish but he takes the time to teach you all aspects of how to fish, from what he looks for to setting out the kite to the best way to bait the live baits to keep them lively! He was especially attentive to teaching my son and making sure he had an experience of a lifetime!!!

I have been on other charters which were those big diesel engine boats with a crowd of people you don’t know and you end up getting naucious from the fumes. Never again!
Captain Chris offers a very personal, hands on fishing experience. He showed us how to throw a cast net to get some bait fish and then took us out.
He asked us what we were interested in catching and then navigated out to his spots.
We started fishing for bonita just to get the feel for the «fight.» We bagged about 20 of those suckers before moving on to catching some «eatin» fish.
He baited the hooks with some squid and we dropped the lines at his spots and we started landing the red snapper. At the end of the day, we walked away with 20 red snappers, a handful of trigger fish and a couple of others.
The rate for a four hour excursion is more than reasonable and competetive with the other charters that go out from around here. The difference is the small group, hands on, personal experience you get from Capt Chris aboard his 27 foot tourney rigged Conch.
We will definitely be booking our next excursion sooner rather than later.

Captain Chris was great. I think his boat was a 28 footer. He was waiting for us with a smile. At the dock and on time. We received his number from another captain who was busy that day. He is a younger captain in his 30’s I suspect though I never asked him. We had our family of 5 on the boat and were not trophy hunting but looking for a fun day out on the water. It was perfect the ocean there just off shore is a beautiful blue. We went out till it was over 100 feet deep and drifted back toward the shallows and repeated this several times. Chris was very attentive to our 3 children. Making sure they each had a turn, even my 4 year old. When we were finished he didn’t kick us off the boat like I have experienced in the past. He was very casual and relaxed and even showed my son some pointers on throwing our cast net. He fileted up some of our fish and recommended a great spot close by Hurricane Alley to cook up our catch. It felt like fishing with a friend, not someone who was just there for the paycheck great job Chris we will see you next time we are down in Fl. Oh yeah, he called us after we left and drove out of his way to return or boys life vests we had left on the boat.
