The best place to get your pedal bike serviced. Period. No elitist or snobby bike shop attitude here. Both are pros and will never steer you wrong. The rates are close to the highest you’ll pay in town, but it is absolutely worth it. Top notch work — done right that first time. Plus, high five are free. It’s the only place I take my bikes.

This place was highly recommended by many as being THE shop in town. I needed a tune up on an old GT bike bad. The hydraulic brake needed bled, the derailleurs needed adjusting. The bike needed help.
When I arrived, I was greeted by Mason who walked out to greet me before I even entered the store. That was a nice touch in my opinion and a great first impression.
Then walking into the place, I was equally impressed with the décor and how clean and well kept the place was. They keep a nice clean shop and take pride in it. I received my bike back in about a week and it feels and rides like the first day I bought it.

It’s like the local bike shop when I was a kid: a no-​pressure environment that smells like rubber, chain lube, and fun. Owners are pros and true mechanics who live for the love of bikes. Went above and beyond — built me a sweet ride and dialed in the details — were every bit as excited about it as I was! Look at some of the photos, you’ll see what I’m talking about. Alter Cycles is the real deal.

The proprietor of Alter-​Cycles is the second best mechanic in the town (sorry, but Stan will always rate number one). That being said the best place in town to have your bicycle serviced is definitely Alter-​Cycles. A down-​home approach to business with lots of handshakes and high fives to keep things real and friendly is followed up by an attention to detail and a love for bicycles not found elsewhere in town.
