Decent inventory. Prepared foods, OK. Poor customer service… a guy upstairs in the dining area vomited in a trail all-the-way to the restrooms. I alerted the idle coffee station attendant. Thought, maybe, she’d get a mop. Instead, she got the number of some dude wearing a shirt that had apparently shrunk a great deal in the dryer. Several people walked through the vomit. I lost my appetite. Left the store for fresh air & some perspective.

Best salad bar in town. Hands down. It has everything you want. The Parm/garlic ranch is to die for.

I would give this place 6 stars but only 5 are available. Great great great food quality selection, friendly and knowledgable staff, and fret treats upstairs at the smoothie bar and restaurant. Although there are two locations in downtown Bozeman, I would like to see on up at big sky. I will be back. Keep up the great work.

I love this co-op so much! I don’t live in Bozeman but we pass through a couple of times a year. We always take the time to stop and get some delicious breakfast along with some additional goodies. The prices here are reasonable and it’s such a cozy/great space. Excited for when we go next! :)

Local food, great buffet for lunch, amazing service and one of the few stores in downtown Bozeman that has kombucha and organic groceries. Go there regularly.

Ended up eating here quite a bit on my business trip. For a co-op, it has one of the best hot food bars I’ve ever experienced in a co-op with a huge variety of foods from day to day. Good wine selection, smallish fresh veg/fruit area, and medium sized grocery section. Good coffee shop upstairs with a huge selection of baked goods. Whoever is head of the kitchen here is doing a GREAT job. Quality all around.

Delicious, local ingredients. Hot bar changes daily but usually worth stopping for. Fresh ingredients and options for all preferences and special dietary needs. Crowded during the noon hour when high school is in session.

Cool spot! I made this the destination on my GPS when driving from Billings to Bozeman this morning. It’s a two story shop with a coffee shop and juice bar on the second floor along with restrooms. The atmosphere is really ideal with lots of tables to sit at and a lot of natural light. They also offer free wi-fi if you want to hang out and relax and plan your next destination from here. They also have hot breakfast options available by the coffee bar, so I grabbed a vegetarian breakfast burrito that was priced by weight. It was satisfying and hit the spot. I also ordered a 12oz mocha which I didn’t really care for. I guess I’m just spoiled with the amazing coffee available in Sacramento, CA, that this just didn’t do it for me. I really did like this shop overall though and highly recommend it if you happen to be in Bozeman.

When I walked up I knew I was home. Prepared food was as good as a high priced restaurant. Atmosphere is rusticity beautiful. Huge beams! At the help counter I was given a lot of info on hiking, hot springs and wildlife areas. You are not a stranger here. Organics and fresh food abound. The guys in the meat dept got me set up With a box with ice for my groceries to take to Yellowstone. What a great experience on my trip to Yellowstone!!!

I truly adore this co-op. Upon my first visit, they didn’t have many vegetarian options on the hot bar and I didn’t fancy a salad from the cold bar. I had to make it work with what was offered plus some fresh produce. The hot items I chose were tasty… Just not a big variety made without meat. However, when we stopped in again the next day. The menu had changed. The hot bar had an abundance of vegetarian options. Everything I tried was yum… The polenta was amazing and the irresistible fried potato wedges were heaven! I’m not sure if they change up the menu each day because we were only in the area for two days. Both days I had the chocolate parfait out of the cold case. The parfait was fresh with real cream and moist cake. Both days it was delicious! They have a nice seating and café area located upstairs or you can sit downstairs, outside on picnic style tables if you prefer. The grocery and produce section has a decent amount of options to choose from that you could definitely stock your pantry with. Also, One of the employees that I asked a question was super kind and helpful. The store had a good positive vibe all around.

Best vegan options in Bozeman — have come here several times over the course of a 5 day trip. Great grocery items(wildwood soy creamer, chao cheese, bulk foods) and a really good hot bar with vegan lunch and brunch options. Deli also has tempeh bacon and vegenaise for sandwiches!

PROBLEM: «Healthy food takes time, I can’t get it on the go, plus it’s too expensive.» …I hear it over and over again from people who are more than willing to drop $ 7 on a blood sugar shooting, cholesterol kicking, pile of non-sense from a local fast food joint. Simply because, there isn’t a better«healthy» option. ANSWER: Go to the Co-Op. Fill a small to-go box with a couple scoops of whatever catches your fancy on the hot bar. Grab 1 – 2 hard boiled eggs.(Optional: grab an avocado/chunk of cheese). If done properly you will spend $ 7−10ish… and will have a full meal that is good and good for you!

Great small co-op with excellent selection of salad and hot bar items, as well as sandwiches made to order. Conveniently located on Main. I’ll be back.

As a client, or a potential member owner, or as a member-owner, being disrespected by staff and treated like a walk-in nobody is not what I expect of a co-op experience. The staff does their own game, plays their own tune, and has forgotten who they work for. Now, even if the staff are members, when as staff, they work for other member owners, and their position is one of stewardship, and humility, not smugness and a bossy attitude, haughtiness or indifference.

Seriously overpriced, sometimes twice as much as the exact same thing at the Town & Country grocery down the street. I keep trying the food bar, hoping for something amazing, the way prepared food should be at a natural food store. It falls short every time. Today is the last time… partially cooked roasted vegetables, a spring roll that somehow tastes fishy, curried potatoes that lack curry, slimy Thai lentils on dry rice, chewy eggplant… arggg! No no no. A decent juice bar, good coffee drinks, and really nice staff are what keep me from never coming through the door again.

Having spent the last week at Good Food in Missoula, I feel like I am not ATHOME and not in a Pseudo Whole Foods. The food bar is MUCHBETTER quality and tasting here. It is a Co-op #1 worker owned!!! No corporately local or national store will beat the care and quality, even if selection was a bit less. The upper juice bar and eating area, is excellent. Support your local Co-op and take pride in supporting the people serving you, instead of some asshole shareholders. AND I’m listening to a live harpist for Sunday brunch, who does that? This place rocks!

Best high-end selection of packaged and prepared food in the Bozeman area. The prepared food, which we bought for a hike/picnic, was exceptional. The speciality areas(bakery, produce, fish, meats, etc.) was well stocked, very fresh, and prices were only slightly more than elsewhere — great trade off given the higher quality. Staff if extremely helpful. Shoppers here are always social with one another, and with strangers(and take it from me: I’m strange!). Large, varied dry goods selection.

I’ve kind of fallen in love with this co-op. Unfortunately for me I live in Seattle and tend to visit Missoula rather than Bozeman, but I know I’ll be back again someday! They’ve got a great hot food section, and wonderful sandwiches made right in front of you. We’ve stopped by twice now to have lunch and then stock up on our favorite natural/organic groceries(and a few beauty products too, since I can’t resist them). Staff has always been friendly and very helpful, even offering to help me carry my sandwich to the outdoor seating area since it was crowded and busy in the store and I’m a wheelchair user. Upstairs at the coffee bar I had the best iced coffee I’ve ever had(on the second visit it was just okay, I’ll have to figure out who that fist barista was!). If you live in Bozeman, GOHERE! I want it to still be around when I’m in town. :)

Meh. Came here last week when passing through town. So pretentious!!! Yikes! Juice bar is pricey pricey; options are many of the items found in a Target food pantry store… Workers are snobs. While browsing the meat department, little bit rude. Considering I’m a Montanan and recall small times of this«co-op» — I would say not a co-op vibe. Take your money some place better! Bring a whole foods to Bozeman already! At least they aren’t as pretentious!

Not even close to Whole Foods, but if you are looking for organic offerings in and around Bozeman, Community Food Co-Op is your best bet. We came here prior to our main shop at Albertson’s in search of organic offerings, and some of the smaller brands of foods that I enjoy. Selection was pretty good, but quality of the produce was only OK. Perhaps living in NYC spoils you, but I didn’t think produce was particularly fresh and some looked downright god awful. Pricing was surprisingly more reasonable for organics than the Albertsons, which was more expensive on many items. The upstairs sitting area is nice, and has a juice bar. Definitely worth a shop if you want organic, but don’t have high expectations of superb quality because you will be disappointed.
