Excellent fresh, local food options. I got the grown-up grilled cheese and tomato soup combo. I will definitely go again!

We loved this place! Remind us of Portland, Oregon, where we’re from. Healthy with great gluten free options. We had the tuna melt with chili and Market Spinach salad, they were all awesome and plentiful. The gluten free cinnamon roll was good, not amazing. Highly recommend this café!

Everything I’ve had here off the food and beverage menu is very good. The location is convenient to MSU, and it has a decent patio. I’ve heard it’s too expensive, but it’s only slightly more expensive than the Bozeman norm. I love the hot sandwiches. The great little attached market is an extra bonus. There’s also a small kids play area.

This is such a lovely place and it’s close to campus too. The vibe and atmosphere is charming. I want to love this place but I can’t. It seems to fall short of that. Some of the food items were not impressive at all and quite pricey. Everything here is typically a little bit more than I would pay. I’ve been here several times. It’s a good place to grab a bite but not that great.

I have been past Sola Café hundreds of times never thinking to go inside, the outside of the restaurant is very unassuming and appears to be a simple coffee /sandwich place. It is that, but a lot more. When you first walk in there is a gorgeous market with lots of fancy imported cheeses and meats. The menu is huge with lots of very interesting hot /cold options. I ordered a chai latte and tuna melt. Me and my business partner went to sit upstairs killing time before a meeting. The very nice and courteous waitress brought up my beverage. A few minutes later she brought up our food. I had ordered the tuna melt, as when done right, is one of my favorite dishes. It was good, but not great. Seemed like the tuna was cheap and maybe had been sitting long, but the rest of the sandwich was good. I really enjoyed my experience and will come back. But I think for the prices, the food could be cared for a little bit more.

This was a great find. Vegan alternatives on the menu, and a great market wig local products and food. The staff was so friendly and fast!

I almost didn’t eat here because of the bad reviews. I am glad I gave it a chance. My mushroom omelette, the brunch special, was very good. The serving staff was attentive, and most of all, they know how to make a good cup of tea. That is a high compliment from someone with English heritage. As an aside, they have a dedicated play area for children. It made breakfast all the more enjoyable to see parents enjoying each others company, and the children enjoying the play area. This place is not cheap, but I would consider that I got value/quality commensurate with what I paid, hence the 5 star review

My three year old and I were having a mommy/daughter fun day and we decided to stop here for lunch as it isn’t far from the Museum of the Rockies where we were headed for the afternoon. I was pleased with the menu selection which included mac n cheese(a must for my daughter). Lunch was very delicious. Everything tasted fresh. The salted caramel latte I ordered was also amazing. There was also a mouth watering selection of cakes and other pastries we did not try this trip. I was also pleasantly surprised to discover a kids play area under the stairs that kept my daughter entertained long enough for me to thoroughly enjoy my lunch.

Sola has good food — well sourced, tastes good, great baked goods, and their coffee isn’t bad either. It is just way too overpriced. I used to eat here frequently 3+ years ago, but it seems the prices just steadily increase to where it’s not worth it. Still fun to stop in for a treat every now and again, but I couldn’t afford to eat here too often!

Sola’s website reads: «WELCOMETOSOLA! …where we make everything from scratch using only the freshest ingredients sourced as locally as possible.» I ordered the«Classic Breakfast». They served me cold, powdered, pre-made, buffet-style scrambled eggs. I have to stress that they were warm on one side and ice cold on the other. Every bite a mystery. Also on the plate was buffet-style bacon(drowning in grease), dry, unseasoned, luke-warm potatoes, and 2 pieces of bread. The bread was tasty. The preserves were delicious. Total price: $ 8.80

Sola café is one of the cutest coffee shops/cafes that I’ve visited in Bozeman! I ordered the Grilled Veg salad with chicken and it was amazing! And the environment is so cozy and fun in there. I highly recommend this café!

Awesome food and ambience as usual! I had the Greek scramble which came with some great toast and preserves! I would say a little overpriced. I like the addition of the little market.

Wonderful addition to the Bozeman dining scene. Awesome breakfast, lunch and dessert. I wanted to get everything on the menu. Tuna salad is solid. Peanut butter sandwich cookie is marvelous. The roasted beet salad is delectable.

Food was good. Way way way too expensive. Lunch for two adults and two children shouldn’t cost $ 76. Will not go back even though lemonade was amazing.

Amazing place. Just what you want if you want fresh, organic & different. Menu/food taste is delightful. Staff is friendly & cool. We ended up here because a pretty girl at the local Bozeman chamber of commerce highly recommended this place. Architecture in/out is beautiful. The cream filled cookies are delish. The salad bar is to die for(2 in our group got this)! We loved it so much we all bought souvenirs here. Thanx for a great experience. More places need to copy this outline.

Sola is seemingly wonderful. They offer an awesome selection of gluten free items and allergen-friendly lunch and snack items. I love their gluten free cookies more than anything and I loved them so much that I worked there over a gap in my contract for my job. Unfortunately, I found myself disappointed today when I went in to order some treats after a super not-fun hospital procedure. The prices have raised a bit. I got a fruit tart which must have been 8 $ because that and three GF cookies were $ 11. When I got home, I ate one of the cookies and to my dismay found a hair baked into the cookie! I was so excited to eat my expensive treat and then ended up throwing it away because I was grossed out. Sad day. They were my go-to for treating myself. :(I know mistakes happen but the high prices plus this just irk me.

I hadn’t been in to Sola for a long time, and not since they converted to a market. I stopped in today for an Americano and a bite to eat mid morning. It looks cute inside the market area, lots of interesting packaged food items, niche market produce, and other goods. Lots of gifty items. I ordered my coffee and decided on a «meat quiche.» That was what the label called it. I took it to go, but I don’t believe it would’ve been any better if I had stayed in. It was pretty horrible. Made with what I presumed to be bacon(very small pieces and hardly any for being a «meat quiche») and Brussels sprouts. The egg texture was loose and watery and the sprouts were brown. Very burnt and seemed old… Not the quality I was expecting, nor taste. The coffee was fine. I think they are turning a bit too trendy and stuffing the place with kitsch and take-away products makes me think they are missing the mark elsewhere.

We went here 3 years ago while we were in Bozeman for our anniversary. We went to Sola twice on our trip; once after dinner for dessert, and once for breakfast. The desserts were really quite good, but given this place toutes itself as gluten free, they didn’t have much of a selection. The coffee was awesome. The staff? Ugh! Rude! Acting all uppity and looking down at our nose at us! Both times! It’s also very expensive! Our breakfast sandwiches were pretty good, but way more than they should have been. If you go here, stick to the sweets and the coffee.

There is only one reason this place is still in business, location. Location = a captive audience with few alternatives near by. Love the concept but this place always fails at execution when they try to move away from their core coffee and sweets menu. We have tried Sola many times since it opened and each time we are so disappointed it takes us months to forget our last bad experience and try again hoping for a better experience. Tiffany, the owner, is smart enough that the lack of competition will allow her business to thrive. But, it will have nothing to do with good food or a good customer experience.
