For the 6th year beer has filled old main street of Bradenton. Actually, there is often beer on this street due to the number of good bars and pubs along this stretch of B-Town, but the beer fest is a bit different. They block off the street set up tables and the pouring begins. As in years past lost of different beers are poured and some are great, some are so so and some are bad. But getting a chance to try so many is great fun. One of the best was«howling bastard beer». The things from Darwin’s, local sarasota, were also very good. This year had a number of food trucks as well, I tried out the SRQ curb side care who’s puerco asado was great. black beans and yellow rice, very traditional. The surprise winner was Jimmy’s meatballs. I got the sampler of Sesame ginger, grandma’s and the korean. All were good, but the sesame ginger was the most interesting and the one I most want to copy! Grandma’s came with a great red sauce. Had two tickets left and got some binets from the saucing it truck. Not really that good. Last year I thought you got a few food tickets with your entrance but that didn’t happen this year so the only bummer there. But still great to have something fun like this in B-Town. If you missed it watch for it next year!
