Chili’s

I came in, ordered broccoli with my salmon. When the meal was served I said to the waitress «the broccoli is spongy, did they microwave them?» She answered «yes …» What, no one steams fresh vegetables anymore or is it just at this restaurant that they microwave frozen vegetables? How long does it take to steam broccoli?

Yikes!!! What happened, this chilies use to run like no other… Seems to be under new management, the high school sophomore drill team has taken over. IS THERE A GROWN HERE? Anybody! Hello!!!

Being the carbs addict that I am known to be, I was craving cheese fries for the longest time, having said that, I was on this side of town and stopped by here to fulfill my cravings. The parking lot was more full than the tables in the restaurant so I had the thought that it would be packed as it was the afternoon. My server was very patient with my long-​awaited decisions while I browsed the menu. After finally coming to some progress, I had my appetizing Texas cheese fries and a chicken quesadilla. I could not leave without dessert so I ordered a skillet chocolate chip cookie. I must say that it was good but a little too sweet for me. I must admit, if I was as hungry as I was when I walked in, I would have finished every bite of it, however, I was too full from my entrée. As this is a chain restaurant, I do not have much to say except the fact that I prefer Longhorn Steakhouse because I can dine there for two for the same price for one, here at Chilis.

All I wanted was a grilled cheese & fries. Comfort food. The only thing I ordered from Chilis as a kid and loved it. It was horrible :(I don’t usually visit chain restaurants and this is what I get.

Ordered a steak and it came out grey and raw. Ribs tasted chewy. Fries were good and the mac and cheese was alright. Hey at least they got the fries on point. Our server was nice. That’s the only reason why they get 2 stars.

We go here for quick dinner almost every other week. First time we had bad experience due to a bad waiter. They better educate their server it only take one bad experience for somebody to stop going to your restaurant. Very disappointed.

What’s wrong with this place? These people have to be half mentally challenged or just not attentive to details or properly trained. I asked for nachos with Fajita steak and not ground beef. They used to offer fajita steak on their nachos and now have modified the menu to only offer ground beef. You have to specifically ask for fajita steak. Meaning they have to cook the fajita steak separate and then put it on the nachos. This isn’t hard right? Wrong. I made every effort to make sure this was understood. After she brought out the incorrect nachos she insisted it was fajita meat. She said it was «cut different» …uh ok I’m not an idiot but to humor this waitress I tried it… nope wasn’t fajita steak. So I spit it out on the plate and asked her to take it away. Simple request for a specific meat and I was denied the only enjoyable edible thing Chili’s has to offer.
To top this experience off I never had an opportunity to speak to manager. What kind of place doesn’t send a manager out when a customer has an experience like this? How about a poorly run one? Yep I won’t be back.

Chili’s, like so many of the other «fast casual» places, offers drinks, entrees, and apps for mid-​range prices at average chain quality. It’s the type of place that asks you to fill out surveys about your «dining experience.» My experience? I was hungry, ate a burger, then left. Come on, I’m not at a Chili’s off of I-​75 on a Wednesday for a «dining experience.»
That being said, the food is actually pretty acceptable, but service is pretty slow, so take it for what it’s worth.

While I’ve never been a Chili’s Grill and Bar fan for some reason (dunno why) this one made life simpler on a recent business trip… location, location, location to nearby Fairfield Inn just off University Drive in Bradenton.
Friends and I ate once at the bar and ate once seated at a table. I had and enjoyed both meals. One was their Caribbean Chicken Salad and the other was their Southwest Chicken Salad. The latter came in a long plate/​bowl serving dish and was good tasting albeit more spicy than I thought it might be. I like food with zing zang zoom to it so it hit the spot. The first, the Caribbean Chicken Salad, was more colorful and tastier with a pineapple based salsa thrown in with grilled chicken breast and a tasty salad.
The service was only adequate. The presentation at Chili’s is for me, personally, less than desireable. It always feels forced and like a throwback to 70s restaurants with booths, tables and such being naugahyde-​style seating.
This Chili’s Grill & Bar was fine. I got everything needed out of two late dinners that came/​were within walking distance of the hotel. So that was a bonus.

The service is always horrible and so slow!!! Don’t go if you’re in a hurry you will never get out of there. The food is so so like any chain restaurant. But if you have time on your hands than it’s the place for you.

Need an inexpensive meal? Come here! A little over $ 20 for two people for dinner. And it was good too!

I love coming here for a late lunch on the weekends. The place isn’t too crowded and the service is prompt.

I don’t normally write for chains like this, but this Chilis is the best one I’ve been to in a long time.
They know me all too well in here now since I’m in here quite often.
The best way to put it is this: consistent. This restaurant has consistently good friendly service, consistently good hot food, and is consistently a quiet easy to get in and out of retaurant for lunch. (I shouldn’t tell you that. now you’re gonna come here and be noisy!)
An awesome place to eat the great food that every Chilis chain has, but few can reproduce with such quality. I love cracking open my chicken ranch sandwich and steam pouring out of it!

I am rating this restaurant down with an «F» grade for their advertising of a healthy menue called «Lighter Choices» on their menue. I had Lighter Choice Grilled Chicken Sandwich (cal. 480) With tomato, lettuce and non-​fat honey-​mustard dressing on a wheat bun. Served with steamed broccoli.
WOW…I had to ask for a chart that shows all sodium for their food and found out that the sandwitch «HEALTHY» has almost 1700 milligrams of salt. Very tasty but awful for your health. Move this sandwitch on to the regular menue…

If I was able to not even give a star I wouldn’t have. I took my sister in law and her best friend out for my sister in laws bday. Btw both girls are pregnant. service was horrible food came an hour and a half after we ordered ended up getting it togo and gave it to a homeless man at the gas station. the only good thing that came from this was the fact they compt our check n the potato bacon soup was good considering it was the only thing I got. It even took them 30 min to bring out a bowl of mandarin oranges for my son which ill add is only 4 yrs old. Bad bad experience will never return. very disappointed that this is a lakewood ranch community restaurant

Great Chili’s that is clean are recently opened. BTW, the map location is not accurate on Unilocal
