I grew up here as a child almost 40 years ago and it was awesome… my mother and I wanted to go through for memories sake and show my son where I lived. As soon as we drove in there was 12 cop cars and an area was taped off. Turns out someone was stabbed twice in the chest for trying to help a neighbor who was getting robbed. We proceeded to drive around and we were in shock… the family pool towards the back was gone and is now a pet area. Playground gone… garbage everywhere and yes some very scary people walking around. My mother and I were in shock and I was embarrassed for my son to see where I use to live. I will just have to hold onto my childhood memories but it was real hard after what I saw today… stay away… far far away…

If I could give negative stars, I would. Our 1 year living there was a year of hell. All our neighbors looked like murders, drug dealers and crack whore. I feel so sorry for the children who are forced to grow up there. This is no place to call home. We made the mistake of thinking it would be a good place to live in for just one year with our newborn baby. We were scared to even walk around the complex during the day. We rarely used the laundry room, a common place for drug deals and other scary things. It should be called the GATESOFHELL! PROBLEMSWITHTHEMANAGEMENT: The staff was rude and management changed 3 times during our 1 year lease. It felt like we were dealing with some street thugs trying to scam us out of every last penny. We were charged a $ 50 fee for a gate remote we were never issued nor did we ever receive any gate remote. We were charged a full months rent for the month after our lease was up. Although we submitted a letter 3 months before the 30 day move out notice deadline, that meant nothing because the new manager couldn’t find it. Apparently the old Manager misplaced the paperwork and we got screwed. They also tried to make us replace the spotless carpet. It was brand new when we moved in and had no stains, only a few dents in the carpet from furniture. Apparently this is a scam we found out they do to all tenants who do not renew their lease. They make you pay for the next tenants/victim’s new carpet. We refused to pay for a month of rent we did not live there as well as the new carpet. They informed us that if we didn’t pay they would report us to a collection agency in 60 days unless we disputed the claims in writing. So we did dispute and sent along copy’s of all the paperwork we had. Our dispute was not responded to in any way and we were reported to the credit agency anyway. After that we were forced to settle for a lump sum so it wouldn’t effect our credit any longer. PROBLEMSWITHTHECOMPLEX: The cops came on a daily basis for many reasons. We often heard fights, gunshots and screaming at all hours of the night. Theft is a huge problem. I’m guessing about half the residents are drug dealers. Lots of creepy men lurked around the pool watching. The landscaping consists of lava rocks and cigarette butts. Take a walk and enjoy the sweet aroma of cat/dog piss. Our apartment was infested with fleas from the previous tenant. Paper thin walls. Our bottom unit flooded a few times because the drain was always clogged with cigarettes. Don’t bother keeping you apartment clean and in good condition, it wont matter because you will loose your security deposit anyway. The only good thing I can even think of was that the air conditioner was new and worked fine and they allow pets. Do not rent here unless you want to be unhappy and pay a lot of money for SHIT.
