So much better than Chipotle! Love their shredded chicken and beef. Their homemade chips are so good too.

I enjoyed this place, for the same reasons others did. Do read these good reviews… they are accurate. Like a fast food atmosphere but nicer. Staff knowledgeable and patient… as there’s some decision making. Different, fresh ingredients. Now, it wasn’t for everyone in our party… they gravitate towards more«Taco Bell» junk food style… but I appreciated the fresh cilantro, the feta, etc. no margaritas! But I think they did have beer. That homemade soda is special… tasted really sweet to me, but I rarely drink soda, and this did taste like… the old fashioned soda from childhood.

Interesting as it is different from Chipotle or Moe’s but not necessarily in a good way. The first time I ate here I really liked it and then the last two times not so much. I will say they have high quality and diverse ingredients including crumbled feta cheese which is a nice change up on a tortilla. But I must admit that with so many other options I simply will not go back and here is why… 1) All of the meat proteins are braised — including pulled chicken and pulled beef. This in itself is not bad, but with so many items being«juicy», my quesadilla became a soupy mess. It literally spilled liquid ever time I picked it up, leaving a puddle on my plate. I can’t help feel that a roasted meat protein would reduce said puddle, lol. 2) Also the cooking of the tortilla wrap on the grill with oil just makes it greasy and unpleasant to eat. The food just becomes oily as the tortilla shells act as a sponge. This place is not bad. The beer and chips are also a nice add-on. It’s simply not my thing. It might be yours, its worth a try to see.

Get the kale bowl when they have it! So flavorful. The vinegar slaw is something worthwhile as well. The freshly fried chips are a slice of heaven!

You order at the counter, take your food your table, and then enjoy the delicious fresh Mexican cuisine. Ingredients are all organic, sodas are not the usual run of the mill. They’re gourmet craft sodas made with real sugar and they are delicious. The food was fantastic and my company was beautiful…

Large portions of local food are what you’ll get at Poppo’s. The prices are good and the food is great. They have some picked and fermented options as well, which is great. This location is in a large mall area, directly across the street from a Chipoltle… which is a very similar venue. What you’ll get here that you wont there is Local Food, showcasing some skill in meal building. They offer a tempeh meat option, which is awesome! It’s delicious and a great alternative to the tofu iterations you’ll find in similar build-a-burrito-bars. The workers were all very sweet and well versed in the components of each dish. They were helpful and insightful and quick to offer samples of items that looked abnormal. The prices were relatively competitive for the area. The common areas were relatively unkempt, but this was largely because of the rush time we visited. The beverage selection was pretty nice, though the preferred green tea was out of stock. For a quick bite, this spot is tops.

It’s like an organic version of chipotle or qdoba. I got a chicken bowl. The chicken was all wet with this dark flavorful sauce. I was pleasantly surprised. It was uglier than chipotle bowls but a little bit better flavor. But for more flavor one must pay a price. A price of about $ 12. But it is what it is.

This place gives me life! Not from the area but every time I visit I make a point to come here. The carnitas(pork) is so juicy and delicious. Their beef is just a touch on the spicy side and perfect. If you dont eat meat they have tempeh which is a nice switch from tofu and its seasoned nicely. They make the flour tortillas in front of you which is pretty neat. But if you want to fill up you can get a bowl which are huge, very filling. The toppings are so fresh. And the honey lime slaw is really good no matter what you put it on. Their chips are fresh to order and housemade. Puffy and salted well. Their soda fountain is great with all natural craft sodas. The ginger ale is excellent but if you want a dark soda the black cherry is good also. I like that the price of the proteins are all the same, but you do have to pay extra for guac, sour cream, etc. So it can get kindof expensive. $ 41 for me my husband and daughter– 5 tacos and a bowl with two fountain drinks. Still worth it. I’ll still go back and still recommend to people. Love!

Amazing fresh Cali style fast Mexican/Taco. Get the tempeh, honey like slaw, pickled onions, in a big bowl. So delicious!!!

Delicious food however a bit steep on the price. Even that tried to frequent there at least once per month. They do not have a kids menu which makes it painful to take a family.

Very similar concept to chipotle. The food is very fresh. Avoid the quesadillas, they have a strange way of making it that doesn’t taste good at all. Be aware, the guac is $ 1.95 and sour cream is $ 0.50 extra(we were not told about that nor was it written anywhere on the counter!) I recommend the spicy beef, beets, and pickled onions! If you have a few extra bucks in your wallet make sure to get their chips and salsa too.

Can’t think of any reason not to. It was fast, friendly and fresh. Very similar to Chipotle. They do burritos, baskets and tacos, but they have fresher beverage choices that don’t include coke. It was tasty!

No it’s not chipotle or moe’s. Similar concept in that it’s fresh ‘fast’ food, but the flavor is a little different. We were expecting more spice and flavor to their carnitas and tempeh. I ordered the veg burrito [tempeh, black beans, brown rice, jack cheese, salsa verde is standard] and added cabbage slaw, pickled onion, and cilantro. I’m glad I did because it definitely boosted the flavor. The chips and salsa were delicious– made fresh when you order them. FYI– Get another side of salsa! Their focus is organic, fresh, no crap in your food. The sodas don’t have high fructose corn syrup, ingredients are organic, they have local kombucha on tap, and cold beer in the fridge. I like where Poppo’s is going and I’ll be back to try their other items. But I’ll be sure to ask for some hot sauce or extras to liven it up.

Great little find! Since I’m new to the area I don’t know if this place is new. Organic caught my eye! Chips made to order and I really like their Guacamole and salsa. Ordered Black Bean quesadilla, yum, spicy with feta cheese. Very good!
