Retrobaked

Retrobaked has to be the cutest little «cupcakery» I’ve ever seen. When I walked in I was warmly greeted by two lovelies. I mean this place is so cute I wanted to pinch it.
I was disappointed to see «sorry I’m sold out» on a couple of trays because I wanted to try almost everything. Specifically, the chocolate chip cookies, s’more cupcake, Girl Scout inspired cupcakes, lemon, lemon lavender but there were none of those available. However, I was able to get a «snowball», chocolate peanut butter fudge, Mexican chocolate brownie, & PB&J bars.
I haven’t tasted everything yet but the cupcakes were obviously made with the best ingredients. And let me tell you the cake in those cupcakes was so moist. TWO THUMBS UP!!! Wait, I just ate the PB&J Superfood bar and it is hands down my FAVORITE (it’s made with organic ingredients). I need to special order a dozen.
The added bonus is they are open on the 1^st Friday & Saturday of the month during Art Walk. Downside is you miss out on some great treats if you wait (like I did). The selection was good yet limited! 5-​stars because I know if what I had was good everything is probably amazing! Next month I’m going to try to go on Friday.

I tried their gluten free and vegan lemon cake and it was amazing! Fluffy, right amount of sweet and tasted like it’s made from quality ingredients. It also looked beautiful. I really hope they start selling individuals baked goods at the bakery at some point as for now it’s mostly just special order for cakes and dozens other than a monthly individual sale at artworks.

They’re so good, I want to be able to come up with better adjectives than ‘wonderful’ and ‘amazing.’ They’re really thorough about listing all of their ingredients, so it’s easy to find something if you’ve got multiple food allergies/​sensitivities/​etc.
But my favorite part is that I’ve taken a number of friends and family here who can eat everything, and they’re just as happy as I am. I do recommend signing up for their email list and/​or trying to visit them on the Friday of an Artwalk — some of the most popular flavors can sell out, and it’s worth it to pre-​order or get there early if you’ve got your heart set on a particular thing.

This bakery is so cute, and they have the best cupcakes ever! You can’t even tell they’re gluten free! (but they do taste better than regular cupcakes) check them out on artwalks!!!
