I will never, ever use Rooms To Go again. Two years ago I had a horrible experience with Rooms To Go up North. Long story short: it took me months to get my furniture because the first delivery driver refused to deliver on a military instillation, the response we got from customer service was atrocious, and we were ripped off. I decided to give them a second chance just minutes ago when I stopped in. We were greeted by Robert«Bob» Lenhard. He asked what we were looking for, we said«a sleeper sofa». He said«a what?», so I repeated myself. He goes«oh, you mean a sofa bed» in a condescending way. Horrible first impression.(And by the way, on their placards showing prices etc for the furniture, it even said«sleeper sofa»… but yet I get rudely condescended because of the verbiage I chose to use.) Bob then shows us the few they have on the floor. We found one we liked, got all the details, and told him we want to sell our current furniture before we purchased this, due to lack of space. He started writing the information for the furniture on his business card. He said he was going to write down the colors, specs, everything for us. As he was writing, I started telling him that I do have a reservation about buying from Rooms To Go due to the horrible experience I received two years ago. I started explaining it to him and he literally CUTMEOFF as I was speaking and hands me the business card with ONE word written on it(not the full details he said he was going to give me) and says«I’m off Wednesday and Thursday so don’t come back on a Wednesday or Thursday». I’ll do you one better, Bob. I won’t come back ever. You were rude, condescending, and everything a salesman SHOULDNOT be. I tried giving Rooms To Go a second chance, against my better judgment, and I was ultimately reassured as to why I wrote them off in the first place. I wouldn’t even suggest using this business, to my worst enemy.

This firm does not back their products. We purchased a recliner for over $ 800 and shortly after the initial mfg warranty ended the dye was fading and it looked like hell. We had purchased the«leather protection package» which the sales rep said would cover anything that went wrong with the leather. BS — customer service(very rude) said you are out of warranty and that RTG would do nothing to assist in rectifying the problem. Nice attitude. RTG is owned by the same group that filed BK in NY — Seaman’s Furniture. With this kind of poor customer service I would not be surprised if RTG was on the same course. DONOTPURCHASEFROMRTG!!! Go somewhere where they back their products. You may pay 10−15% more but you will get a better product and certainly better customer service.

Looks good in the show room, but one year later we’ve got plywood under he cushions for support and the chair & couch arms move back –n– forth. Junk! If you’re on a budget and think its cheap go to a consigment shop and buy someone elses old«good» furniture. At least you’ll know it stood the test of time.
