Good food, home made with a friendly staff. They have to move the food more quickly if they want to keep their clientel. Joe C

Siciliano’s is now gone! It has been replaced by Piacissimo, new management, same building, and from the reviews I have read before, it seems like it may still be within the family. However, I still liked the pizza, and wrote more about it under its own name.

Ordered carryout pizza from here several times and it has been very good and consistent. We also recently ordered from Demetrio’s on Cortez and it is no contest. Siciliano’s wins hands down. The crust was much crisper and the sauce and cheese had much more flavor. We’ll be back!

Coty’s(hi there!) review of Siciliano’s is ‘right on’(as usual :). We’ve been there twice and plan to go back with my parents to try the pizza. My b/f got hooked on the spaghetti with meat sauce and meat balls and had it both visits. He even complimented the chef on it, informing him that was one good reason we came back, among others. I had the eggplant Parmesan the first time and it was really good. The second time, I had a special of Grouper and shrimp with linguine in a tomato wine sauce, which was lovely. Their sauces are excellent, the portions are large. The ‘solo’ server is Christina, a petite brunette who is pleasant, graciously helpful, warm and friendly. The place is small and not fancy, but don’t let that fool you. The food is good and worth the visit. Their wine selection is modest but excellent, too. The pricesare veryreasonable. Update: B/f and I went for pizza tonight and we have to say it is possibly the BEST thin-crust pizza we’ve ever had. We were MMMM-ing and sighing while we were eating, it was soooo good. We had a medium with sausage, green pepper and black Italian olives. Those toppings were delicious, but we could have just had sauce and cheese because the crust is a star, it is AMAZING. It’s light, chewy, and crispy(even on the bottom) all at once, with a subtle yeasty smell and outstanding mouth-feel. It was all perfectly seasoned. My b/f ate 4 slices, and he’s usually done at 2. We can’t wait to bring friends and family there, and get more of their really good pizza and pasta. We ordered ahead by phone. Our pizza was perfectly timed and ready when we arrived. Christina even knew us by name, and we’d only been there twice before. What great service and attention to detail. We have got to get the word out on this place, everything on the menu is simply excellent. You’ll really enjoy the food, and we hear new menu items are on the way. Can’t wait! UPDATE: Went back with my parents last night. That was my 4th visit there. We ordered pizza and antipasto for 3 of us. My mother had linguine with white clam sauce, and we shared tiramisu and espresso and regular coffees for dessert. My parents were TOTALLY bowled over. EVERYTHING was DELICIOUS in every detail. Even the huge, garlic rolls. YUM! I have to say that was THEVERYBESTLINGUINEWITHWHITECLAMSAUCE I’VEEVERHAD, and I’ve had it often. The garlicy-lemony sauce was like velvet, the clams tasted and smelled mild and fresh, the pasta perfectly done. The espresso was MAHVELOUS! Sweet, mellow, just the right bite, and it left a delicious coffee aftertaste. Next time I’m ordering a double. I may go there just for the espresso. We got a large pizza so we could take some home. The leftover pizza was crispy and excellent today, reheated in my oven. If you don’t go to this restaurant, you’re really missing out. The two owner/chefs bust their buns in the kitchen, Christina is on top of everything, and all their hard work shows. Wonderful! We’ll be back again and again. UPDATEAGAIN: we went again, just for pizza. It is SODELICIOUS, you can’t believe you’re eating it. Honestly, no wonder they do a brisk business in pizza. But I’m craving the linguine in white clam sauce. We’ll be back… And we were, several times more for pizza and pasta. I am sitting here eating DELICIOUS leftover Siciliano’s pizza, wondering whoever gave Siciliano’s a 2 star review and called it ‘McSpaghettI’ has NOT met the 2 Italian-born owners/chefs, but they also gave Cracker Barrel a 5 star review, so consider the source and their poor taste in dining. They’re nuts. They need to actually go to Siciliano’s and introduce themselves, but first, brush up on their Italian. Even more updates: at this writing I’ve been to Siciliano’s at least 15 times, it’s great. Try the espresso and the new roasted pork sandwich. Wonderful!

We just moved near this place, which is in the location of an old Taco Bell. They have a large take-out pizza business and even a drive through. Not sure how well the drive through thing works, because it takes about 30 minutes to get a pizza made. I recommend dining in your first time to get a feel for the wonderful family that works there and what other people are eating. Also, to hear the specials. The family that owns and works there speak Italian to each other, which contributes to the atmosphere. The waitress is amazing and she waits all of the tables herself. This place looks small and quaint, but there food is the real deal. I recommend letting the waitress tell you the specials that are not on the menu, because they are always items made with the freshest produce and pasta. Their pasta is always cooked perfectly(al dente) and their dough is flavorful and crisp. We ordered the(on Special) Caprese($ 7.95) fresh mozzarella, roast red peppers, olive oil, fresh tomatoes, and basil. I have never had caprese with roast red peppers before and it was quite delicious.(on Special) Gnocchi in Wine Sauce($ 12.95) had tender potato dumplings(gnocchi) in a white wine sauce with spicy sausage, garlic, basil, spinach, and artichokes. The Eggplant Parmesan($ 10.50) was nothing to laugh at either with huge chunks of fried eggplant covered in buffalo mozzarella and house marinara. It was served with a side of al dente ziti tossed in house marinara with basil on top. All entrees come with a House Salad, lettuce with shredded provolone, tomato, cucumber, and house dressing. They also give you never-ending bowls of garlic rolls that are freaking amazing, drenched in clarified butter and garlic, with a touch of olive oil and white vinegar. The pizza is pretty darn good, and seeing that there is always a huge line for pick-up I am not surprised. It is no Il Panificio(Sarasota, FL), but the service and location makes up for it. The first time we went, we ordered pasta because we did not know if the pizza would be good. Then, we saw the chef doing the dough toss up in the air we knew it would be good. The crust is super thin and the outside crust is light and flavorful. There are many toppings to choose from(cost extra per topping) and they come in 14″($ 9.45), 16″(11.25), 18″($ 12.25), and 21″($ 14.25). Remember the larger the pizza the better the taste!
