I’ve never even heard of this place. But I sat down next to the cart while at the Barn, enjoying an Italian Ice. It smelled so good, we just HAD to try it. Hands down — the absolute best tacos I’ve ever had outside of Mexico. You need to try this place if you appreciate Authentic Mexican Food

In the produce market area of the red barn there is a little wagon. A few months ago it switched hands and started selling fruit juices. Then about a month ago I saw a little sign about having tacos. And then yesterday they had a big sign with interesting things on it so I decided to give it a try. But what to pick? They have tortas and Menudo and other good things. I had already had lunch but had to try a taco or two as they had both Barbacoa and Lengua! If you’ve not tried these at other places just order them and enjoy. I had a Lengua and barbacoa taco of course. They were super yummy, super tender, excellent flavor. Traditional cilantro and white onions. A dash of green salsa and you have a very winning combo. The woman who took my order(the owner?) asked me if I had lengua before and I said yes with a big smile. We both laughed about how people are scared of probably one of the best pieces of meat on animal and how it makes great tacos. After enjoying my tacos I went back to talk to the woman who my order what the name of the wagon was, and she said«I’m thinking of calling it the spot. Because it is the spot to come to and have whatever you want». She also told me that she had intended to just do the fruit juices when she took over the wagon but people kept asking her for tacos and other good things. She decided to just use her family recipes and make fresh home cooked food, nothing frozen. I think she has a winning combo. So now, when I go to the red barn to buy some cheap produce, I’ll be sure to have some Lengua and Barbacoa at «the spot».
