Giving it a shot and it’s excellent. 5 of us got 5 different items and we all love it. A plus from us. The waitress is very sweet and nice too, excellent service. She’s from Maine.

We had to check this place out after seeing it on Restaurant Impossible, and the reviews we read beforehand were pretty much on the money. The food was fine, nothing special. I got an omelet and it was missing one ingredient and desperately needed seasoning. My hubby got a sandwich and was hungry when he finished. The strange thing was when we were paying our bill the owner checked us out and she told us all about how someone on her staff had just shaved her head and she didn’t feel comfortable having her in the front of the house. It was random and none of our business.

Was surprised to see photos added to the site here that do not belong to Theresa’s. Huge disappointment that we cannot have them removed! Kiddos are having chocolate chip mickey mouse pancakes with whipped cream… and biscuits and gravy for the oldest. Always such a great atmosphere and friendly/accommodating staff.

Had a friend in town from Indianapolis and we chose Theresa’s on the recommendations from Unilocal.VERY disappointed. The service was horribly slow, we had to as for everything from sugar for the coffee to silverware. The scrambled eggs were runny and cold and the grits were watery and thin. For the prices they’re charging I expected much better quality food and service,

We’ve been coming here for 10yrs and have never had bad food or bad service. Everything is homemade, nothing from Sysco. The chicken salad croissant sandwich, potato chip chicken tenders and various versions of eggs benedict are some of our favorites!

I came in I guess for the first time after the«restaurant impossible» makeover but it has not aired yet. I had no idea they were doing it or I would have went when they were filming. My first thought was this looks like something they would do on restaurant impossible. On to the food. Corned beef hash is tasty but portion should be larger.(Reason for 4 stars instead of five) I leave a little hungry even with a side of toast. Other food items look good at other tables and have considered the omelette but I am a corned beef hash guy. Service is top notch and owner is very friendly. Hopefully this makeover lasts.

Chicken salad is delish. Portions are small and not the best value in comparison to some other nearby breakfast/lunch places. I love watching the FN, so I have appreciation for plating and presentation, which you do not get here. However, they were recently renovated by the Food Network, which is pretty cool. They have an outdoor patio area which is pretty charming.

From the older reviews I’ve read, Theresa’s seems to have benefitted greatly from its recent Restaurant Impossible makeover. The Crab Benny I had was very good, and everyone else in my party of 9 was quite happy with their meals as well, although the fish n chips was a bit oily. Service is friendly, although maybe a tad slow. But I thought the place was very good, and I’d definitely return.

I haven’t been here recently but we used to have deliveries from Theresas to my place of work. Most of the food was good. Especially the biscuit and gravy and they would make me a special scrambled egg plate. I have eaten at the restaurant a couple of times really didn’t notice much that was bad. Give it a try especially since restaurant impossible was there a couple of weeks ago. should be better now. I will be visiting to see the changes.

Don’t waste your time or money going here. I go to Florida a couple of times a year and always like to stop by locally owned restaurants to support the local economy as well as get some food I can’t get back home. Some meals are more memorable than others, but this one was perhaps the most memorable of all because it was so nasty. I got some sort of meatball dish. Clearly, 100% NOT homemade meatballs. Frozen or something, probably been sitting in a crock pot all day! Nasty. I could make that at home. The sauce was also very sub-par. Straight out of a jar, I’m sure. The iced tea I got was AWFUL!!! It had a strange taste I couldn’t identify. Then I noticed the tea pitcher had SOAPBUBBLES all over it! My tea was soapy! To be honest, I’m surprised that place even USES soap! But it isn’t supposed to go in tea!!! I had a horrible experience and I highly recommend that you avoid this place ATALLCOSTS!!!

Im only giving 2 because the lady was nice. The problem is everything else, dirty and a mildew smell that is horrible. The wife and i just wanted a quick breakfast this Unilocal was a bad indicator, a 4 star Unilocal definately not recent. Mistake no. 1 was the oil film on our table, dirty rags used to clean the oil after we asked to please clean the table??? mistake no. 2 the smell, mistake no. 3 was staying and feeling bad while sitting getting an excuse to leave… good luck with this place, needs help.

First time at Theresa’s and while the food was fine, the place needs some cleaning up(this is supposed to be a business not your house) and the service was unwelcoming. It was obvious who was in charge and that the staff did not have much of a voice. This was our first and last visit to Theresa’s.

I’ve been to Theresa’s Restaurant several times. Food is generally good. However, today I ordered a takeout sandwich(grilled chicken salad). While I admit the sandwich was tasty, I don’t believe it was worth the $ 7.00 I paid. Standard size sandwich(on the small size) with a bag of chips. That’s it! Def not worth $ 7.00, I have had much better sandwiches and sides at a another local restaurant that I frequent often(serving the community with a purpose) that I’ll not name. Additionally, while I was waiting for my take out I had an opportunity to really look around at the appearance of the restaurant. Very dingy, old and worn out. The carpet was dirty and very worn. An eat in diner ordered a cup of coffee only to request a replacement as the coffee cup had lipstick on it… clearly not washed properly. Makes me wonder how clean and sanitary the restaurant really is. The restaurant has been there, on the corner, for a long time. Great location but perhaps the owners should consider cleaning, replacing worn items and updating the restaurant so it’s an inviting environment. Also… consider the pricing on your sandwiches. Either lower the price or provide additional sides besides a bag of Lay’s Potato Chips!

Good restaurant, good food, but toast was not toasted enough. Egg dishes should have been a little more crispy. Coffee was good!

All 5 star reviews? Really? Very very strange. I’m going to be fair — this is a cute little café in downtown bradenton where you can get an inexpensive and filling meal. But maybe it was what I ordered(bacon cheese burger), but it wasn’t 5 star worthy. Service was fine — place was empty so I got served right away, my water stayed filled, my food came out quickly. My food was okay — the burger was kind of small though. It felt like those old«Where’s the beef» commercials. And there was nothing special about it or the fries. Nearly every place I’ve eaten on Main Street downtown has something better then what I had here. Again, maybe the burger wasn’t the way to go. They do have better prices then nearly every other place in downtown, so if you aren’t looking to spend much, this would be a good place to stop. Theresa’s is fine. It was comfortable, I had a small, but okay burger, and was able to sit and read and have a relaxing lunch. I would never say don’t come here. They have a typical café/diner menu, meaning there’s a lot of options and you’ll find your favorite comfort food on there. But if you’re looking for a 4 or 5 star lunch, there are better places within walking distance.

Having worked in the area the last couple years I have always been looking for a reason to get over to Theresa’s and try it out. Well today I finally got the opportunity and I would have to say I was somewhat let down. It seems as though it’s a manic environment for the employees as there is one person in charge of everything and the subordinates are just zombies. The food took 35 min to come out and the portions were super small for what was spent. The food itself was good but it just didn’t seem like everything added up.
