We eat pretty regularly at Kabob’s, because the food is almost all excellent and, for the quality of the food, the prices are quite reasonable. The curries are amazing, and the coconut-crusted grouper is always a hit, but in fact, I’ve never had anything there I didn’t like. I am deducting one star for the ambience, and that’s what I want to describe. The décor and the building itself are really beautiful, but you feel like you are eating in a hallway, because it’s just one long room with a full length bar on one side and small tables along the other. So there is constant traffic past your table. Even that would be OK with me, except for the wide screen TVs that line the wall, making the whole thing feel more like a sports bar than a nice restaurant. I don’t watch TV when I am eating dinner at home, and I certainly don’t want to be forced to watch TV when I am trying to enjoy some fine dining in a restaurant. There is a beautiful upstairs, but most of the time when we go there, it is closed. It’s some of the best food in the area and definitely the best food in Bradford(which might not be saying a lot), or I would never eat there, but it’s not a place to go if what you want is the experience of fine dining or even a quiet dinner without the distraction of constant traffic and a bank of wide-screen TVs.

Went to kabobs finally after hearing that it was such a great place to enjoy some great food in Bradford. The service was good, ambiance was relaxing and my family and I enjoyed the atmosphere. However, the food was mediocre at best. For the prices they are charging you would expect different, unique. But what you get is something that is not any different than what you can make at home, for a lot less. I don’t think I will be going back. Nice atmosphere, but food was missing the wow factor for us.

We have found an amazing gem tucked inside a lovely restored building. Chef Sheikh Iqbal, known as «Chef Icky,» brings an amazing blend of Mediterranean, Pakistani, Greek, and other flavors to Bradford. And for this we are so thankful. We have heard about the restoration of The Option House and The Peacock Parlor from family who have enjoyed meals and events since the opening. We had an amazing meal tonight — potato samosas with homemade plum sauce were out starters. My husband had a chicken souvlaki platter which he enjoyed thoroughly. The basmati rice was flavorful and cooked perfectly. I enjoyed the beef and chicken curry special. The curry was aromatic and rich without being overpowering or too spicy. The meat was tender — no need for a knife. After our meal we had the opportunity to go up to The Peacock Parlor. Be sure to consider this space for special events. And take note that the dumb waiter at the bar serves the parlor upstairs. So much history — such amazing food.

A great little restaurant in the heart of Bradford. They’ve done an amazing job at restoring the bottom floor of the Option House. The Greek cuisine was pretty good, they’ve got your hummus, kabobs, and souvlaki as well as plenty of other dishes. Everything was reasonably priced and the staff was nice. It makes one wonder why this place was so empty, don’t people eat out anymore?

Came here with my mom and was pleasantly surprised by this place. My mom actually does remember when it was an option house, and her dad used to bring her here to check the ticker. One word for the atmosphere here: Cool! I had the chicken curry and she had the mian chicken with penne. We felt that her dish had a little too much bell pepper in it, but otherwise the food was delicious. Unlike most places that serve curry, this place doesn’t ask how spicy you want the food. I enjoyed the heat, but my mom would have liked hers a little more mild. They have one of the best Greek side salads I’ve ever had. I almost wished it was my entire main entrée. I loved the dressing on it, which was a light oil and vinegar of some sort. Overall, fantastic choice for a more upscale dinner. I’m only knocking one star because we had to ask for water refills instead of the empty glasses being noticed by wait staff. Food is A+.

This is a really quaint restaurant. It’s on the first floor of an old hotel that has a lot of character. The service was great… the lady serving our table was friendly and ensured that all of our needs were met. I ordered the chicken souvlaki, and it was tasty. The dish not only came with the chicken but also with a side of tzatziki sauce, salad, pita and basmati rice. The chicken was well flavored but was even more delicious after dipping the pieces into some hot sauce(I’m addicted to spicy). The pita was fresh and had a slight crispiness to it, and the rice was perfectly cooked. I really enjoyed my experience here. I was also told by my co-worker that the kabobs are pretty good as well. Maybe I’ll come back another time to try those out!

In Bradford for the fall foliage and we were really hungry after spending the morning walking around, so was looking around for something that appealed to my indian taste buds and found this place. Took away lunch. We tried the tandoori chicken kabob and the beef kabob. The tandoori chicken does not taste quite the same as an Indian tandoori chicken but that’s not to say it was not good, in fact we really enjoyed both items we ordered. The chicken and beef was flavorful. The basmati rice that accompanied the dishes was perfectly cooked and they had cooked it with cumin(jeera) seeds, so was very flavorful. The tzatziki was really good too, very rich. I know where I am having lunch tomorrow.

I stopped by kabobs and ordered lunch to go. I ordered a chicken kabob app, and a beef tenderloin kabob off of the lunch menu. I was informed it would be 10 – 15 minutes. I sat in the waiting area. it wasn’t until my order was«ready» that I was informed that the appetizer wasn’t available today, and asked if I wanted to substitute it with something… That’s a little late when the entrée is sitting in a box. The cashier said they hadn’t yet checked in with the kitchen as if yet… normally a wait staff and cooks communicate 86’d items, before seating customers The food they did prepare was good, and tasty

Finally, Bradford actually gets something good. Kabob’s — which looks to have moved here from Ellicotville where it was known as(the) Kabob Kafe” — is a good addition… a much needed addition — to the lunch menu here in Bradford. Stopped there for lunch today… greeted promptly and seated quickly, and had a server come by the table within moments of sitting down. Great thing to see. Nothing worse than sitting at a table and waiting — and waiting — for a server to acknowledge your presence. Got my iced tea quickly and was given just the right amount of time to look over the menu before the server came(with my tea) and told me about the specials. I ended up getting the Chicken Curry… it seemed more like a mild Tikka Masala… is that what it is meant to be? I am not sure, but it was pretty o.k. in any case. I think the only things I would mention would be that a *little* more rice be added to the plate, and maybe work the menu to not have so much«american» food on it. I was hoping to see more Indian food — I’ve such a craving for lamb vindaloo these days! — and some Samosas or Garlic Naan or something a bit more exotic on the menu. Don’t get me wrong, it’s got a lot of potential and is a pretty nice place and a good change to the Bradford restaurant scene, but I just hope that it doesn’t turn out to be another«Americanized» Mediterranean /Indian restaurant that includes burgers and wraps on the menu to appease the locals. I used to live in S.F. and we would make the jaunt over to Alameda every now and then to hit the India Palace restaurant… THAT was a good place! Since moving here to Bradford there has been a very short supply of Ethnic food choices, and that makes the foodie side of me sad.
