I’ve been going to Danny McMahon’s for over 7 years and he never disappoints. I’ve told all my friends about him and decided it was time to write a review. The bottom line is Dan is a great guy who delivers great haircuts. I always look forward to the relaxing experience at Danny’s. Danny’s been cutting hair for a long time — he’s a professional and his quality work reflects his experience. This isn’t a franchise in a stripmall, it’s a great shop in Bradford Woods where you’ll get an excellent haircut. Danny also a has lived all over the US and has hours of stories to tell. Danny’s genuinely a good guy and is always friendly and professional. I’ll echo some basics from other reviews too — there are very comfortable leather chairs to sit in, the daily newspaper, two large HD TVs, and books and magazines too. Sometimes I go early to my appointment to read the paper. Danny’s shop is only minutes from Route 19 but it seems like you’re far removed from its hustle and bustle. Give Danny a call and set up an appointment for your next haircut — you’ll be glad you did.

Finding a good barber shop these days may seem like a lost art. That’s the main reason why I was really excited to have come across Danny McMahon’s. From the handful of reviews, I could see that experiences were mostly positive, so I gave Danny’s a shot. Unfortunately, my experience was about as bad as I could have imagined for such a seemingly inviting place. First off, no matter how skilled the barber is, bad customer service and a horrible attitude can easily ruin the whole experience… for me, this was my main issue upon visiting, however, my haircut was a one star stunner as well. All around, just a surprisingly disappointing experience. First off, I called to make an appointment and the owner was rather short and rude on the phone. I see others have had a similar experience, but he made me feel like he was doing me a favor by taking my business. I should have known at this point to not proceed, but I gave him the benefit of the doubt as we all sometimes have bad days. When I showed up, I was early and no one was there. Despite the business cards saying walk-ins were accepted, I saw the owner rudely turn down a walk-in while I was there… main point being he was not busy and could have taken the business. I waited patiently and like most have said, it is a nice spot in the neighborhood. Location seems to be the only positive at Danny McMahon’s. As for the haircut… I asked for a simple fade and blend at the top. 100% of barbers should know what to do when a customer asks for this, however the owner seemed perplexed. The owner’s rude attitude was so distracting that I couldn’t wait to pay him just for the privilege to leave. Upon inspecting my hair in the car… wow, it was just bad. I know the owner prides himself on «stylish, timeless, and tasteful» haircuts via the description on his website, but I have had better 10 minute cuts at Great Clips. Ouch. Put simply, if you’re an old fart and like to BS rudely like an old fart,(looking for a timeless/old fart kind of do) go here. You’ll probably love it.

Man, I was really pumped to get my haircut here. I read the reviews and couldn’t wait to make an appointment. I called and asked if I could make an appointment, he then asked for when. I said what do you have, which was met with«that’s a dumb question and I’m not wasting my time reading a week’s worth of appointments to you.» I apologize if I don’t know what hours this place is open or what slots are taken. What a complete a*hole this guy was! No way is this guy getting my business. Maybe you will have better luck, just don’t call first.

Going to Danny’s shop was the best thing j did for my hair in a while. This place is a true gem, and there is no competition that even comes close to offering the quality of styling that Danny does. Do yourself a favor, and stop by.

Danny is very personable and does and excellent job. Of course, I don’t have as much hair as I used to, and my few hairs can’t be too difficult to cut, but he does a good job none the less.

This is a very cool barbershop. Danny gave our boys the best short haircuts they’ve ever had. Now that my boys prefer to wear their hair longer, we haven’t needed a «barber» cut, but I highly recommend his services for traditional boy looks. He told us once that he really only prefers to work with children who can sit very still and behave while getting a cut. My boys are as still as statues and always have been, but if your small child typically cries and is fearful, this might not be the place to go. Stop in and ask him ahead of time.

Are you fed up with Supercuts? Tired of the fifteen minute«run a lawn mower over your hair and be done» haircut? You’re in for a treat, Danny McMahon’s is less than eight minutes away from central Wexford. Located in the heart of Bradford Woods, Danny’s is the place to go if you want one of the following; 1. An excellently relaxing shampoo wash followed with five star cutting/trimming/styling skills. 2. Incredibly comfortable seating. 3. Flat screen televisions with actual manly sports/news content compared with the nicktoons of Supercuts. 4. A rustic woods filled backdrop easily viewed from the many floor to ceiling windows. 5. You have Danny! Once you give him a chance, you’ll never go anywhere else. Directions: on route 19 make a left onto Bradford road at the stoplight with Atria’s on your right. Straight through one stop sign and Danny’s is on your right before the second stop sign. If you hit railroad tracks you’ve gone too far. Parking in the back. Call ahead and make an appointment.
