We experienced the same service problems as the other Google Reviews and Better Business Reviews posted for Matthew Moss Painting, Inc.; ours was regarding the painting of a home near Brainerd, Minnesota. Most frustrating was saying they’d show and never showing — by hours, days, and eventually never at all. We had always been extremely flexible with a start dates — so we understood weather delays with no complaints. Initially they asked for $ 2,000.00 and our signature on a contract to «hold» a slot for the season,(we paid in May 2015). The day before the job was to start(August 2015) they said they needed $ 400.00 more for supplies, and they subtracted that amount from the money due at the end of the job and signed signature and dated it at that time on the paperwork. They never showed the next day to start the project and we were never able to get a return phone call after that time. Finally by email and text they said they’d refund $ 2,400.00 in two weeks. Never paid. When we employed legal counsel and they reached out to Matthew Moss Painting, Inc., Matthew Moss unilaterally emailed our legal counsel that he would pay a cashier’s check to our lawyer’s office in 30 days. This payment was never received. We are currently pursuing full legal action to get restitution. We have reported to the Better Business Bureau, and we will be posting our experience on informational review sites like this to help other people avoid the stressful, unpleasant situation that we have had with Matthew Moss Painting, Inc.
