I work here. My son Kent is 13 and Larry Nabisco is the regional manager and is 49 and was in the Coast Guard. I started working here 4 years ago and my life has always been about making lil teddies. I truly believe that when you put love into a bear, they come to life. Literally come to life and start moving around and talking and thinking about stuff. There’s nothing anyone could ever say to make me think differently.

I came in late one Wed evening right before closing time. I was greeted by a young woman who’s name I think was Kimby. It was hard to tell as her name tag appeared to be covered in clam chowder. She had on one roller skate and for a minute I thought I was at Sonic and tried to order a chili cheese coney. She looked at me all confused and angry and said they were closing soon and that she needed to get home to her son Kent. Kent is her son, he is 13. I browsed around the formal wear section. I had already built my bear but needed a new outfit for the spring jamboree. Thats like the prom for bears. It’s so cold, I should have made a polar bear LOL. Kimby told me to hurry it up because Kent was alone. She said they had been watching a vhs of Hope Floats and had paused it before she came to work. She said Kent was still at home waiting for her to unpause it. I made my choices(red kitten(meow) heels and a slinky dress) and went up to the register. After paying, Kimby asked if I wanted to go rip a butt outside the food court.
After ripping the butt I started to leave and Kimby told me to hutc or ti. I’ve been asking on Facebook what that means but no one will tell me. She seemed nice. A+ would build again.

After a crazy week ! I booked my 4 year olds birthday here the day OF, lady who answered the phone was AWESOME! could not have been more helpful, made it painless, as well as our host, great with the kids, got the shy ones into and out on about an hour and half, reason for 4 stars, the pricing, which is a shame, it’s what keeps me away all year. And many more like me. But kids had a great time, and that’s what mattered.

Love… love…my 6 year old loves this place. Staff are always cheerful and fun. The clothes are a little pricey, but worth it. Reasonable bear prices. You can have a really fun time for 10 – 15 dollars. Your child will love it!

Fun store! I’ve been in several times, purchasing gifts a few times and came in with a friend to purchase a bear. but this past July, after a really bad day. I decided I need a build a bear. Doesn’t matter that I’m well past the stuffed bear age. I wanted one. and my experience in the store was excellent. I had gone to Lush first and had a little shopping spree, then wandered around the corner to Build a Bear. the salesperson approached me and asked if I needed help and I said I was here for a bear, but was still deciding. she left me alone to make a decision(which was exactly what I wanted and needed) once I chose my bear, she appeared out of nowhere and helped me pick out a heart and fill him to the appropriate softness. She asked me if I wanted accessories, etc. and I browsed a little, but chose to take my bear as is. I paid, remembered I had a rewards card and had that scanned and she was nice enough to offer me a bag instead of a box(I love the box for gifts, but otherwise its such a waste of cardboard!) and I left, VERY happy with the experience I had in the store. I’ve gone back several times since, really just to browse, but the bears are adorable and I could easily start a collection!

After going tot he one in the Natik mall we gave this location a try! This one is much closer to us in Boston. So this location works like any other build a bear store. We had gone because from our last purchase we got a free $ 10 off on our next purchase in the store. So we got to walking around and found one we liked. We then went over and picked out a voice box this time around.(Last time we got the beating heart!) You then wait in line to have your bear stuffed! When its your turn they then ask you if you would like your bear soft, hard or some wheres in the middle? We picked the middle. Seems to work best that way. They then stuff the bear for you! Then tie up the backing for you. At this point you then go and pick out anything else you would like the bear to have/wear. We got a shirt, pants and hat. You then go to a computer and put all of your information in. It makes the bear a birth certificate. Its pretty easy! Any young child could do it. The computer walks you through. Its pretty clear on its own. It then prints it out for you and you then go to the front counter to pay for your bear. Now this time we didn’t have much reaction with the employees at this spot. Now normally that’s not really an issue. The only problem is after they rang us out we saw a sign saying we could have had another whole bear for only another $ 5 for spending over $ 35 in the store… So they didn’t wanna re-ring it out and told us they wouldn’t be able to give us that deal. So that was sorta lame. If your a sales employee its your job to tell us about the sales. Mainly because its around Christmas and it would have been a GREAT add on for a gift for someone. Oh well! Over all the time spent here wasn’t bad. I am taking 2 points off for not telling us about the bear. Just thought an easy reminder to us would have been much better. An ok 3/5…Some things could have been better! Well let you know if they are better on our next visit!
