Everything here is above 5 $ when you get a cone or truffelata drink. For a 6 $ cone can you at least put more ice cream in there. Like common sense it’s a 6 $ vanilla cone at least fill it past the top where I can at least enjoy more of it, instead of just two bites and it’s gone. Some times you get that one girl who knows what’s up. She takes my order and fills my ice cream up past the top and the I leave satisfied that I paid 6 $ for a decent amount of soft serve that taste delicious . Note to staff more ice cream for cones and cups . Last time I paid for a 6 $ cut and barley scooped two scoops and it was all done wtf? Really. Please add more soft serve to the cups and comes I would greatly appreciate it 8)

The chocolate from the bags are better than the truffles on display. The display truffles taste a little stale, and have a bad filling to shell ratio. Something just seems off, and I’m left feeling unfulfilled after spending $ 20 on 8 chocolates. Don’t get me wrong there are good parts to each one, maybe the filling is good, or the outer shell, but the filling and shell don’t work together as one cohesive truffle.

While on business in the Boston area, I love to go here every month to get my Sample Chocolate. Staff is always busy and very accommodating to help me with my purchase. Dark Chocolate is good for your heart; and in my opinion, the Chocolate Dipped Ice Cream Cones and cold Chocolate Drinks with Raspberry topping and whipped cream are good for the mind.

I’m surprised that some of the reviews are as pissy as they are. It’s a damned candy store. Are you quite certain that YOU’RE not the one with issues? This place is best when buying gifts, especially during Valentine’s or Christmas. I only like to stop in to get a strawberry candy shake, every few months or so. It also doesn’t make sense to complain about pricing when you’re the one buying specialty chocolate from a store in the mall. It’s obviously going to cost more. If you don’t know that by now, well, you’re a moron. Truth hurts. My only qualm with the store is the register being in such an awkward place. It’s annoying to have to deal with South Shore Plaza’s biggest problem– The teenagers. Especially in a chocolate store of all places. They’re already obnoxious as hell and giving them sugar only worsens things.

I am amazed at all of the negative reviews. I stopped it to buy a small box of chocolates to add to a chocolate themed Mother’s Day gift. The young associated greeted us immediately and offered a complimentary truffle to me and my 3 year old. My little guy has a peanut allergy so I politely declined since he wasn’t 100% there was no cross contamination. I brought my small box to the counter and a few vanilla gems for my little guy and he offered to give me a larger bag for the gift. I said no thank you since I was spending less than $ 10. He bagged it up and added a few gems and a truffle for the road(I would probably need it to perk me he said noticing my busy 3 year old dancing around). I agree that the gems a little cheap and un-godiva like but the presentation of products is really nice and the associate was very polite, helpful and friendly.

New store is nice. They expanded like the other reviewer said. The lady behind the counter was kind of a beast. She didn’t smile or say thank you when i ordered my two pieces of chocolate. Sorry i wasn’t getting 12 pounds of chocolate lady you could still say hello.

Store has been remodeled, and looks great. It expanded into the next store, so its a lot bigger too. Now features a café setting with a few chairs, and serves coffee and pastries. Why one star? First, the former staff is completely gone. I liked a lot of those guys, and none are back. Thanks Godiva. Second, the layout doesn’t make sense for trying to pay. The registers are in odd places, so you get stuck between teens running by and old women pushing through. I like the look of it, but not the layout. Third, why do they serve coffee and pastries? Now when shopping, I get a nice view of some overweight customers gorging down on 600+ calorie drinks and 500+ calorie cupcakes. Makes me regret buying anything for myself. Fourth, the products have changed. The company was sold a couple years back, and now the products are changing for the worse. Now you can buy tacky shiny«gems» which look like Lindt truffles, «fondue» dipping products(which is tacky and takes away from the actual dipped goods) and now baskets that include non-Godiva products. Way to stick to your«Belgian» heritage. Fifth, the rewards program. I get that its a benefit to have — it costs nothing and entitles you to a free piece a month. But stop mentioning it to me EVERYTIME. This isn’t CVS, don’t ask for my card. I dealt with a traveling manager one time, who had the most fake attitude and acted like a Disney character, and everything was just perfect in her store. Get real, lady. Also, who comes in for just one free piece? I’m just over this company as a whole.
