Harbor Freight Tools

Alright. Awful experience today with manager «Dan».
I came to Harbor Freight today to get some of the Free Power Cords. Note that the coupon expires today AND that I came from Westwood.
Would not give a rain check and when I asked, said that corporate would agree… They could have just given me a rain check, to come back.
I HATE this HFT now & Brockton.

*I highly suggest you all go to Natick*, plus the Natick Mall is so much better than SSP, and manager Dan is not there, they have other much kinder employees (I remember some guy Jaon and Matt, I think)

This store is growing on me. Besides the entryway, the store is clean and all of the staff (besides manager Dan) are all friendly and helpful. Still prefer the Natick store, but this store is much better than the terrible store at Westgate in Brockton. Will continue shopping here as the prices are incredible and the quality is ok (amazing for the price). Overall, 3 stars.
Located on Route 37 in Braintree, in the Granite Plaza. Exit 6 off Route 3, very close to the South Shore Plaza, as well as Braintree Center.

It certainly is sad that we make little for tools in America any more, but that ship has sailed, and the situation is what it is. It appears that everything in Harbor Freight is made in China, they have fully embraced it. It is sad but true that that Estwing in other stores is not a little more than the hammer next to it, it is two or three times more.
Mechanics gloves, safety glasses with built in magnifyers, utility carts, hammers, steel rulers, wrenches, etc are all cheap here. Although the power tools, mostly under the ironic name «Chicago Electric», may not be as rugged as let’s say Bosch, they are not junk either. I bought a large pivoting sliding chopsaw and have run it a few hours total and it seems just fine to me.
The shopping carts have those funky all four wheel spin independently thing going on, like Ikea, I just don’t get that.
So dudes, if you live near this one anyway, nudge Sugar and Spice over towards Burlington coat factory to lose her for a while, git yerself a cart full of man stuff.

Don’t trust excited reviews about this store. Yes, the selection is good and generally there are no problems, but be aware that they sell many cheap stuff, so be prepared for returns. I bought two Central Pneumatics air tools from them, and one of them wasn’t functioning right away, while the second one broke in my hands very soon. So you have to know what you can and what you shouldn’t buy there. Oh, and they also do not let you publish negative reviews about the tools they sell… they simply delete them.

I was forced to come here with my husband to look at toolboxes, like I know what to look for in a tool box. Yup, I was a fish out of water.
This place have every power tool imaginable & I had no clue what anything was.
They run a lot of sales here, I am always getting their flyers in the mail, but I usually put them in the recycle bin before my husband sees it. ;)

Take the manliest things sold at Home Depot, then take them to the 5^th power and you have this awesome store.
Wanna buy a cement mixer? Check!
Wanna buy a power saw big enough to take on that eyesore of a telephone pole? Check!
Wanna buy a zillion kinds of hammers and axes and pliers the size of a Volkswagen? Check.
Wanna buy huge knives that would make Crocodile Dundee weep with joy? Check!
Wanna buy the craziest tool stuff you have ever seen for pennies? Double Check.
We walked in at 8:30 and sadly they closed at 9:00 and we had to leave. Otherwise, we’d still be wandering the aisles in awe and amazement.

This place is pretty fantastic if you are looking for some tools for your husband! I actually went in here looking for a tool box for my husband for work. They had several to choose from and they were super cheap! My husband thought I spent a ton of money. HA! Was he wrong! It was only $ 17.00! He loved it! They just don’t have tools either. They actually have automotive supplies, toys and all kinds of gadgets you wouldn’t even expect for cheap! A great store!!! Love it!
