Planet Fitness – Braintree

Love this place! Awesome judgement free zone and a very friendly staff. Parking is ok, gym is super clean. You can do your own thing without people all up in your business. Keep up the good work. I go alone and sometimes bring the family who also loves it. Thank you for all that you do.

This planet fitness location is one of my favorites!
–Perfect location for me as a driver (more difficult to access if you do not drive)
–Friendly staff, accommodating hours
–Love that there’s a 12 minute abs section in addition to the 30 minute circuit
— Clean and sanitary as far as I could observe.
— Never packed, even during «peak» hours
I love it and wholly recommend it.

Good Gym this place is very clean. I have been to a lot of gym that are dirty but I come here every morning before work. And get a good work out I will keep coming to this place because they have a great customer service as well.

Since I just received my Gym Junkie badge (which I am super excited about) I decided to review this place. Love it here! Parkings great. The place is super clean all the time including the women’s room, showers and changing area. Fresh flowers in there all the time too. Nice touch!
Since this place is fairly new there aren’t a bunch of people here all the time. It’s tucked away in a corner with not much lighting outside. Didn’t even want to review it cause I like not ever having to wait for equipment. They have your usual weight machines, ellipticals, treadmills, free weights, bikes, stretch area, 30 minute abs. Lots of variety, although I wish they had a stepper.
Everyone I’ve encountered at the front desk is very professional and helpful. Always giving you a friendly greeting.
10 bucks a month for basic membership and 20 for black card membership that comes with perks such as tanning, half price drinks, being able to bring a friend for free and massage beds! Those massage beds alone are worth my membership! Sooo relaxing!
Hours are good during the week. Open until 11. Friday they close at 9 and Saturday and Sunday they close at 7. Although, I wish they were open longer on weekends.
They have a really good amount of TV’s lined up for you to watch when your doing cardio. You can plug your headphones in to hear whichever one you want. They won’t change any channels for you though. I understand they can’t be changing channels all the time but for something big like sports games… they should make sure it’s on at least one set. No wifi here either.
All in all this gym is worth every penny. I love it here and I think you will too!

Came to work out on a Sunday and randomly they were closed without any notifications or even a sign on the door to tell us that they were going to be closed for the day. Terrible

Definitely not a gym

Very clean facility however there is only one mat for stretching and abs and it is always packed with people right on top of one another. I would give another star but frustrating when I try to get on the mat before or after cardio and can’t.

Stopped into planet fitness not knowing what to expect. The facility was clean, the equipment was up to date and the crowd was friendly. The best part was the customer service. I walked in with a pretty quirky membership request since I don’t live in the area and the crew (Kevin and Marc) worked with me and took extra time to make sure I had a great guest experience and 100% customer satisfaction. I’ve been to a lot of gyms all over the country and this was one of the friendliest and most helpful crews I’ve met. A+ to this gym location.

Several members of my family, friends and I have memberships and are happy with the facility, however one family member has automatic payments. There was a problem with them claiming that she didn’t have enough money in her account, which we can prove with paperwork to be wrong. Because they penalized her $ 10.00 for not having enough money in her account (even though she did), she no longer had enough in that account to cover the new balance. She asked if she could work out and straighten it out in the morning. The response from the guy behind the counter was to tell her in a brusk tone that she couldn’t use the gym until it was straightened out.
Honestly, I am positive that the money was in the account when they tried to take it out, but the transaction may have been muffed on their end. I know from experience that if you put a number in wrong, the transaction won’t go through. It could have been no big deal, give the customer the benefit of the doubt with the understanding that this is a one time thing, and that it needs to be straightened out with the manager before you can work out again.
Interestingly enough, at signup, we were told that she couldn’t pay in cash, but they were willing to take cash for the full amount which they said she owed even though she still had most of the money in her account (less the $ 10.00 penalty that they had taken out). I would call this policy, «The customer is always wrong». We will speak to the Manager in the morning and I will be sure to follow up. I am posting this because it angers me that she missed her workout through no fault of her own and I would hope that management will change a policy that seems to me to be over protective of the company at the customer’s expense.

Love the bathrooms and the locker room! I’m also a member of another fitness gym. I’m a little bummed out with the minimal weights here. My other gym has triple the weights of this place… I keep my membership so I can work out with my boyfriend as he has a membership. AND, you can’t beat the price for tanning. it’s always pretty clean. There is a member at the front desk a male who is always actually pretty rude. the women are always very nice. He always has a chip on his shoulder for some reason. who the hell knows why. He needs an attitude adjustment. If you don’t want to greet people at the door with a smile… maybe you should find a new job?

Pro:
* this location is newer, meaning it is overall cleaner
* individual shower stalls
* staff is decent, if not great
* Plenty of cardio machines, really
* Very clean locker room
Con:
* Limited resistance machines, both free weights and otherwise
* High school students
This is my preferred planet fitness location, though it is not perfect. Cleanest locker room of any location in the area.

The facility is brand spanking new, tucked in the corner of a strip mall. Machines are obviously new and fully functional — don’t have to waste your time seeking the one that works. Changing rooms are clean and decently decorated compared to other PFs. On top of that, I ACTUALLY saw an employee going around to wipe the machines rather than cluster around the front chit-​chating. I come mid-​day so can’t speak on the crowds during primetime, but seeing as this is the first review…
