Doggie Day Camp Board & Groom

This is my first negative Unilocal review. I’ve used this place twice. First time it seemed ok. Quite convenient, close to the airport, and seemed like my dog would have a good time. The second time was a completely different story. I dropped him off and was instructed to pre-​pay the guy was asking for cash, but that didn’t seem right so I wrote a check which he requested to be in his name and not the businesses. I was skeptical but not concerned. I brought with me a large bag of food that easily should have lasted my dog the 6 days I was gone. When I picked up the dog he was very nervous. When I took him home I noticed the bag of food was completely empty, which doesn’t make sense especially since the pup lost 5lbs. That amount of food should easily have lasted a month. His poop was quite irregular almost as if he didn’t eat at all. My dog before that place is a very mellow and calm dog when I brought him back he was growling and barking and very possessive over food. He never barks and never gets defensive over food. My guess is what happened is he was getting harassed by another dog and the two were never separated as in there was no constant supervision. The business is supposed to kennel them to eat, but I don’t think that happened. I really wanted this place to work out due to the location and a place where the dogs would be able to play and not be kenneled the whole time. After the way my Dog was acting I don’t think it would be responsible as an owner to take him back there.
