Jo-Ann Fabric and Craft

Usual JoAnn store. This store was recently rearranged and refurnished. Nothing hugely special or unique. The employees are always helpful and quick at the checkout. The fabric selection is huge and there is always a slight wait but that is to be expected.

If there was another fabric store near me I would definitely go there. Every time I go to this Jo-​Ann Fabrics I am so stressed out by the time I leave. I ALWAYS have to wait in line to get fabric cut. And I ALWAYS have to wait in line to check out. There can be 15 people in line and only two cashiers. With people fumbling with their coupons and whatever, it makes the waiting in line even more exasperating. They need more employees at the cutting station and the cashiers.

I am updating my review because for the last year or so, I can’t go into the store without it being an ordeal.
The line is almost always halfway through the store with minimal cashiers working. I can’t justify standing in line for 15 – 20 minutes on a Tuesday afternoon. I used to assume that the line was a product if holidays or weekends but it doesn’t seem to matter when I go in.
I love this store but they really need more people working at once.

What a wonderful place to shop for all of your crafting needs! Be sure to get your coupons before heading into the store. On line or via text message.

I had a very bad experience with the staff at the store and I will never go back. The staff are very rude. I will do my shopping at a fabric store that is nice. Raven was very rude.

The store is clean and presentable, carry varieties of craft item, ranging from paper, fabrics, painting. They also offer in store and online classes, schedule is available at the customer service counter. The down sides are lack of service staff, most items are overpriced. Overall is a nice store to shop.

I found that their fabric selection was nice but everything was such a mess. They also need more sales associates in that department. There was a ridiculously long line to get your fabric measured and cut. There also wasn’t a single sales associate on the floor in the entire store. I ended up having to wait in line just to ask a question.
Is it weird that they don’t carry label makers? I would think all craft stores would carry those?

Have a hard time finding staff to help but I love coming here… best store next to hobby lobby for crafts and the coupons/​sales are always great. Especially good during holidays.

I placed a special order for a large quantity of fabric, pre-​paid, and was told it should arrive in 2 weeks or so. They would call me when it came in. That time came and went so I called and was assured that if they didn’t call me, it wasn’t there. They wouldn’t check on it. Called a second time as 4 weeks approached. I was told the same thing — twice — but I insisted they check. They transferred me until the third person said they would check and be right back. I waited on hold over 20 minutes and was disconnected. I called again last week and the rep took my name and number and assured me someone would check and call me with an update. Still no response. I called today and demanded to speak with a manager. He looked for my order while I waited. He came back and said they have it. It came in 3 days after I ordered it — almost 6 weeks ago — and had a note on it saying they called me. No way. I had been waiting on this order! I don’t receive a lot of calls, so I double checked my missed call log as well as old messages. Nothing there. They never bothered to call and failed to follow up on it until I got the store manager involved. I am leaving right now to pick up my fabric and will never return. The customer service, or lack thereof, is appalling and if I have to pay a little more to shop at a place that treats its customers better, it’s well worth it to me.

My wife and I came here to check out fabric to make Halloween costumes and be prepared to wait in a long line for fabric cutting and at check out. This store is busy busy busy. The cashier told us to come in after 5:30pm and there are no lines.

There are many things here for the crafter-​but it is a little overpriced. Some of the ribbon they sell you can find elsewhere for $ 1 – 2 cheaper… same exact ribbon and brand. I just find it interesting how they decide to jack the pricing up because they are specific to the craft supply.
Location is central but a pain because it is in the same plaza as the very busy Publix so if you are entering form Gornto or from behind the strip mall itself, you will more than likely be waiting for a few.
Selection is good for the most part.
Checkout can be a bit slow at times. Customer service is never superior.

Crafter heaven. Found a frame for my Clapton 461 Ocean Blvd album. 5 bucks. Awesome. You need something, Joanns probably has it. Wife could live here.

Great place to shop if you don’t need help finding something. Staff was useless. Won’t go back.

I LOVE this store !!!
This place is a crafters dream. And looking at the number of people in and out of this store, I am not alone in that thought. They have a fantastic paper crafter section (my hangout) and one of the largest fabric departments I have ever seen. Great kids crafts, beading, yarns, silk flowers and art supplies.
The store is very well maintained and very orderly, not stuff thrown all over the place. They are constantly having sales on stuff, which sometimes makes it hard to use a coupon. Speaking of coupons, download their app on your phone and you’ll have coupons with you all the time, And while your at it, download Michaels app because they will honor those coupons too, and all on the same order, it’s awesome!
Staff is great, friendly and helpful. I’ve had to ask a couple times about yarn and they’ve always gone to check on it for me without a sneer. Cashiers always greet you like you’re an old friend, which I probably am since I go there so awesome. Be aware, checkout lines can be very long!
I can spend hours in this store just looking at everything they have to offer. And don’t forget to check out the basket of goodies in the check out line, sometimes you find a real gem !

I totally love this store! It has amazing fabric and a good selection of scrapbooking items to choose from! They also usually have a good selection and sales on Cricut items (my personal fav). However with that being said the ladies at the fabric counter, i have yet to meet a nice one. They are usually rude and short regardless of how nice I am. The checkout line is almost always insane and super long unless you get there really early or the middle of the day during the week.

This store is a dream compared the the Joann’s in Lakeland. They have a large selection of almost anything and everything crafty, artsy and creative. The staff seem nice, although my experience with the staff is limited to the check-​out line.
Their hours are good, location is easy to get to, their selection is excellent, and the store is in good repair and well maintained.

Great selection of yarns, fabrics, and various craft matériel. A little light on art supplies but otherwise better than Michael’s in most every other way. Prices were about average it seemed. Found a specialty item (cat eyes for a crochet project) that my girlfriend and I couldn’t find anywhere else. Hours are good (open until 9pm on Saturday at least) and there are ample friendly and helpful personnel around the store.
