MacDill AFB Brandon Clinic

Accustomed to residing on and working at military bases in Japan, retiring and moving to Tampa last year posed some concerns for my wife and I. I’m fully cared for through the VA, with TRICARE For Life as a back up. My wife is now enrolled in TRICARE Prime, and eligible to deal through the Brandon Clinic. Living in Riverview, it is unbelievable just how convenient access is, and the TLC demonstrated by the Air Force and civilian staff, and their many volunteers, is truly exceptional. We feel we are receiving the same high degree of quality care and referrals as we have ever received dealing directly with a military medical care facility. I’m retired Navy, but I have to give the Air Force a BRAVO ZULU for the job they are doing here.

Only been here a few times with my father to pick up prescriptions faxed over from his civilian doctor. The staff is a hit and mess on some days which place isn’t? No matter where you guys and ladies go you’ll find this. Is it busy here at this Macdill AFB Clinic? Oh you bet especially the morning or mid afternoon time this place is jammed pack with patients picking up or dropping off prescriptions, waiting for X-​rays, blood work, or see the doctor on site.
My father hasn’t yet seen a doctor here or had any test done which is a great but we have been both told that the wait time could get timely depends on the doctor, test and etc. Best advice is come early and see if they can get you in for whatever you may need.

I love the fact that I dont have to go to different places to get any of my labs done. Everything is done here including getting your prescriptions. The doctors and nurses that I have met so far have all been very friendly. The front desk staff is always curteous and willing to help. Some others in the back should smile more. Some of them look like they hate their job and dont want to be there. Smile… you have a JOB! Other than that… I like coming here. Everything gets done in one sweep instead of going here and there and everywhere.
