This place is pretty decent, albeit overpriced. The muffins are always a good choice, especially the buttermilk spice. Every time I have gone, the staff have been kind and helpful. I recently tried the bacon avocado omelette with a side of roasted potatoes and it was good, I just don’t think I’d get it again. Something about it just didn’t taste right. I’ll definitely go back, I’ll just try something different next time.

One of the better options in the area but just ok. I wish I got to see the brunch menu I think I’d probably have a better experience than lunch. Had major fomo when I saw the other patrons plates.

First time to this location. The new hostess they have seemed to struggle with a small rush. Our waitress Jennifer was outstanding. My wife got the Breakfast crepes and she loved it. My daughter got the bannana Nutella crepes she said it was ok but not sweet enough. i thought it was pretty good. My mother had the eggs Benedict and ahe liked them. i have had them before and i also enjoy them at Mimis. I ordered the steak and eggs everything was great. the steak could have been better, i ordered it medium but when i received it it had unrendered fat. And that is a big issue for me on steak. other than that the service was quick, wonderful, attentive, and full of personality. Thumbs up!

This place needs a visit from Robert Irvine! Asked for replacement of our silverware as both sets looked used and dirty… we received a new set however it looked dirty as well. We were then asked if we wanted plastic! Bad sign! When our drinks arrived the wine glass had finger prints on the side and clearly was not washed correctly. My Ice tea plastic cup was not much better. I asked my wife if she wished to continue… and as you would have guessed we requested our bill, paid the $ 9 charge and left feeling disgusted! Mimi you really have the Wow factor! We have eaten here more than once with varied service levels. Food is average but tolerable. Each visit gives the impression they are going downhill and perhaps they are loosing money as staff is inadequate, not trained and Mimi is not looking so good these days. We are from out of town about 50 miles South! I would seek a different venue in the Brandon area… several other places have higher standards for cleanliness and service.

What a great breakfast! Looking for a place to go my girlfriends mother took us here and I was extremely impressed. The coffee was hot and fresh and our server was great telling us all about the specials and menu items. I had the breakfast tacos and they will be the standard for which I forever will hold other breakfast tacos to.

I’ve been to this location many times. I haven’t been recently but everytime I have been its been good. Plenty of parking, I just hate that its surrounded by too many other businesses. Service has been decent. Take out is ok, sometimes they are a little slow. It’s gets busy, like most places in Brandon. Nice environment, nothing special. I usually go for lunch or dinner, never tried their breakfast.

Arrived at Mimis at 12:40 for lunch. There were 3 of us drink order was wrong and then ordered apps they were wrong. Salad missing ingredients, burger chard to the point of no return and one entrée completely forgot. Very disappointed in service as well as food. It was not busy, should have been our first clue. I did not check Unilocal because we had eaten there before and were very happy with food and service. We were given an excuse that there was new kitchen staff and a large group in another room. Never saw the supposed large group. All in all will not be a return customer.

Went to Mimi’s for Sunday brunch. There was a 30 minute wait but during there was free coffee available as well as samples of muffin, which allowed the time to go by pretty fast. The hostess and our waitress were very nice and accommodating. Our food did take a while to come but during that time we were offered muffins and soup for free. Our food came out and was very good. Smoked salmon eggs Benedict was great. Pumpkin muffins amazing. My husband had Mozzarella and tomato omelette that was just okay. And the free soup that was offered, tomato basil and corn chowder was also great. Overall there was some waiting and delays but it was accommodated by friendly service and good food. I would come back again.

If I could do –19000 I would. Nasty place. Nasty food. Rather eat dog poo. They need to close this place down and put all the employees in a culinary school. AVOIDIT.

My second time coming here for breakfast while visiting my family and I’m still impressed. The choice of mimosas are awesome(original, white peach, berry, and mango). The mango is just ok, but the white peach is great! The salmon bennie needs a little more capers, or just add some salt. My husband got the Sante Fe omelet and loved it. Just enough cilantro and avocado he said. We did call ahead seating, and were sat right away. We ordered our sons pancakes right away and I’m sure glad we did. It took a really long time to get our food, but it came out hot and fresh. I would definitely recommend this location to all. Our waitress Ola was very friendly. Oh and make sure to tell them if it’s your first time there– they will give you a free muffin!

The baseline for places like Mimi’s should include the following: + a welcoming greeting at the hostess/host station + regular cleaning of everything from the roof down + spotless cutlery + a minimum standard of cleanliness and grooming for waitstaff + standardized methods and timing for serving plates + standardized methods and timing of plate removal + training for staff on how to judge if a table is in a hurry or not, or + the ability to ask a simple question about that. Sadly for we paying diners, the managers of this location pay little or no attention to any of these skills. This is odd, because they are all utterly within the scope — and control — of anyone who cares about consistency. Even on the worst days, with the lowest quality employees all present, the low-tide line should still meet some kind of standard. The shame is that the food here is consistent and well prepared, which tells us that the kitchen does work to a benchmark. Pity that the visible team members vary so much.

It is a chain restaurant, so you can imagine that things seem very mechanical. Overall, however, the breakfast options were great. The service was pretty good and so was the food.

Great classic American brunch spot. A place your grandparents would go. Service was quick and courteous. Prices were reasonable. I highly recommend the Bacon & Apple Waffle and the Eggs Benedict. Don’t pass on the chocolate milk either.

Great meal. Wish they’d open one closer to St. Petersburg as the other locations have closed. Service was a little slow but worth the wait for our meals. We ordered a Cobb salad— great! Larger portion and fresh! Kids eggs and bacon with fresh fruit– eggs were steaming hot and bacon was crispy. Fruit consisted of grapes and a few slices of oranges. Avocado bacon sourdough burger– awesome!!! Full of flavor, huge portion and a decent side of fries. Brie appetizer– came with 2 small slices of toast and a few apple slices. It was decent but heavy on the baked apples. We asked for more toast and apples as it was a decent portion for 1 person but not great for sharing. I don’t think we’d order this appetizer again. We agreed we’d make another trip to Brandon to eat here again.

Amazing Service. We moved here in October 2014 and Lauren(our server) was fantastic. The best we have had the pleasure of dining with. The portions were huge, my wife and I shared a muffin and the chicken and waffles. Food was very good. Nice décor. Definitely will be back.

So sorry Mimi’s, you really screwed up this time. Always liked Mimi’s when I lived in California. But his particular restaurant is very poorly run. We walked in for dinner on Friday night, around 8pm and there were hardly any people in there, Which shocked me because everywhere you go to eat around here is always packed on a Friday night. We stood at the podium for a good five minutes, no hostess to be seen. At least 5 wait staff saw us, all ignored us. We walked out and went across to Square 1 burgers where we were greeted at the door and seated immediately. I’m afraid Mimi’s will only be a memory soon if this is how they run this place. Shame, Mimi’s, Shame !
