It took over 30 min at the drive through!!! There is no leadership or management here. Food is ok but not worth the wait. Unreal how this place is still even open

I came inside and placed a to go order on June 19th. When I got home not only was my order wrong but the portions were small. The cole slaw was far from fresh. I didn’t even want to waste gas to go show the none caring employees their mess up. Now I see why I haven’t been to Penn’s in 7 months. Do yourself a favor and don’t go.

I’m definitely not a fan of this location… The service is lackluster at best… The food may or may not be hot… The restaurant is clean for the most… Don’t come near closing time because odds are they will close early… If you are going to weigh the food for serving sizes, then be consistent… When craving Penn’s I’ll stick to the other location.

Better check your order!!! You will get home with not only the wrong order but small portions to say the least! Very unhappy!

This fried catfish here is only mediocre… Kinda bland and not a crunchy cornmeal based breading that I typically go for. Their fried pickles aren’t good at all either. I enjoyed my sides better than the meal itself. Fried okra was pretty good, and decent shrimp. Chicken on a stick is pretty good. Customer service at this location is also not up to par. They don’t seem to be too friendly when I go in. If I’m ever craving catfish, for now on, I’m going somewhere else.

I gave this particular Penn’s numerous chances before finally giving up. They say they weigh the fish, but I’m not so sure. I get a much smaller portion of catfish here compared to the Penn’s in Brandon on Highway 80. Sometimes the fish is nice and hot; other times, I can tell it’s been sitting under a heating lamp for who knows how long. The customer service here blows. The employees have always been either indifferent or just down-right rude. So much for southern hospitality. Once, we drove all the way out here from Pearl because I was having a major catfish craving, only to arrive and find the restaurant closed 15 minutes early. They weren’t even still inside cleaning. Not an employee in sight — parking lot completely empty — restaurant pitch black. I was not a happy camper. What’s the purpose of having hours of operation if you aren’t going to adhere to them? I am really tempted to give this place one star. But, it’s clean, there are no creepy crawlies, and you at least have a 50⁄50 shot of the food being hot. Do yourself a favor and eat at another Penn’s. I definitely won’t be visiting this location ever again!
