Second time the Brandon location has ripped me off. Another item paid for not provided with the drive through order. And of course the manager graciously apologizes wanting us to come back wasting our time, gas and money. Do not visit this location but if must make them inventory your order or you will get robbed as well.

Poor reviews are justified for this location. Stick with their chicken. Shrimp is not good plus they screwed up order.

I went to this Popeyes location a few days ago for the first time and I was impressed. The staff was very nice and helpful. I had no idea what to order and they were patient with me and answered questions I had. No one had an attitude or got short with me. I ordered the 3 piece chicken tender combo with mashed potatoes, sweet tea and a biscuit. My husband ordered the three piece combo with coleslaw, sweet tea and a biscuit. Both of us really enjoyed our meals. They were hot and tasted fresh(it didn’t taste like the food had been sitting out very long.) The biscuits had the perfect amount of butter and salt. I put a little honey drizzle over mine and devoured it. Delicious! We enjoyed our meals so much we went back the next day for lunch. It wasn’t until after that trip that I read the bad reviews for this location on Unilocal.I was honestly surprised. Maybe this place replaced poor management or cleaned up their act, because my husband and I both thought it was a good standing establishment. Both times we went to eat here it was very busy, booming and customers seemed happy. If you haven’t tried it or it’s been awhile I highly recommend giving this place a go. I’m glad we did!

I wish I could give zero stars! But since that’s not an option, they get the one star they don’t deserve! My husband ordered a 9 piece mixed chicken with jalapeño peppers and a large red beans and rice. Everything was okay, BUT, they gave us 8 pieces of chicken. 8! How do they not know how to count! We ordered a 9 piece, so some employee there couldn’t count to 9! Then we tried to call and complain about our missing piece and they didn’t even answer the phone! Never again going back to this Popeye’s! They have lost me as a customer.

Have not been to Popeye’s in many years, but always loved absolutely everything in there. Was driving by tonight and on a whim, we decided to eat there. BIG mistake. Awful. Everything was awful. The word awful is not descriptive enough, but I can’t think of a word nasty enough to describe such miasma. Don’t even know where to begin, so lets start with the FAKE French fries. Their fries are now some sort of processed something, battered as always, but the consistency of cardboard and totally tasteless. They are actually hollow, if you bite one in half and take a look. In short ~ they are not French fries. Had the«Beer Can Chicken.» Just as tasteless as the«fries» and the consistency of a rubber glove. I’ve never had tough chicken at Popeye’s before. Their tender chicken used to be one of the reasons to go there and they obviously don’t cook in a pressure cooker any longer. The biscuits??? Nothing can save them. I’ve always bought extra ones in the past, but f one of these things fell of the table and hit your foot, you would be in the emergency room having a cast put on. This one was so tasteless, I spit out the one bite I took and threw it in the trash with the«fries» and the nasty crust off the petrified chicken. Tried a strawberry soda and it tasted like battery acid. Switched to Pepsi and it was bitter. I got a bit of relief by switching to root beer. All the food was SO bad that three hours later, I am still PISSED at myself for going there. I keep telling myself«how could I have known it would have gone so far south in the few years since I’ve eaten there.» Well, now I know. I suppose, fortunately for them, I will not be a loss when I NEVER return. Fortunately for me, I will never throw my money in their trash can again. I now dub Popeye’s, The King of Fast Food Sludge.

I used to live in Louisiana for years and I love Popeye’s but this location needs to replace management. I have been in this location twice and both times they are out of ingredients. I prefer to drive to the Tampa location even though it takes me 30 minutes drive.
