One of the best cupcake in Brandon even better than Morenos!!! I stop by here at least twice a week there red velvet is one of the best !

I come here at least once a week! Where doI start! The cupcakes are delicious. They are super fresh and moist! The store has standard cupcakes they always have daily, but they have monthly specials by the day, so for that month they have daily specials that you can expect to have every Sunday through Saturday for the month. My favorites have been the Snickers cupcake, Kentucky Bourbon, appletini, luck my finger butterfingers, bananas foster and the list goes on! The cupcakes are moist and flavorful! Especially love the ones with alcohol. The store is centrally located in Brandon and is in a popular shopping plaza. The store is clean and is decorated to be pretty in pink! Love coming here!

Cupcakes are great for the most part (a couple of the frostings are sickening sweet) but love the birthday cake, pink frosted, fruit (had blueberry and berry).
The only real problem is the packaging… the cardboard insert is so shallow, any slight tip sends the top heavy cupcakes on their side making a huge mess and ruining them.

I had the Wedding, cookies n cream, birthday cake and lemon drop cupcakes. Absolutely yummmmy! I also purchased the carrot cupcakes for my dog n she’s a finicky eater and will not eat treats. However she devoured these. Love this place

I must say that I am a lover of all things cupcakes. So for those who know me it should be no surprise that I absolutely love Small Cakes Tampa. What I love most about it is even though they have the signature chocolate variety of cupcakes (as do most cupcakeries), they also have a variety of other wickedly delicious flavors. One that really caught me by surprise was their wedding cake cupcake. Oh my goodness! Who knew a yellow cake with buttercream icing could be sooo good. There is a hint of almond extract that makes all the difference. Now, let’s talk about the maple bacon cupcake. It comes with a half slice of bacon on top. That was already too doggone awesome but the maple syrup and the cake portion just melts in your mouth… literally. The maple bacon is so popular they can barely keep up with the demand. Later in the evening they start running out of bacon and the half slice of bacon turns into bacon bits… lol. I had to finally breakdown and try the watermelon which is also wildly popular. Delicious!!! It tastes like a watermelon flavored jolly rancher candy. It was a totally unexpected flavor. These two are my favorites so far but I have tried many other flavors. They are all good. However, I am a little funny about red velvet cupcakes no matter which cupcakery I go to. I have found only one bakery that made the red velvet that I like. They no longer have a store front so Small Cakes it is. However, you just can’t beat the gooey center of the red velvet cupcake at Gigi’s. Other than that, Small Cakes wins in all other categories. So go have some cupcakes people! They are open late.

Red velvet was good. Not greasy but was nice and moist. Frosting was proportional to cupcake.

The raving Facebook reviews about freshness brought me through the front door & I have to say, it’s true! Best cupcakes I’ve ever had. The fresh ingredients really set them apart from other bakeries. Only 2 cons (which wouldn’t keep me from going): they don’t list prices inside & there is a ton of sweet icing atop these little gems. We’ve gotten a dozen on two separate occasions now & they have been amazing.

I had the caramel crunch cupcake. Even though the cake part was a little dry for me, the icing was absolutely delicious, & I do not like icing. I never eat icing, I usually scrape it off, but I ate this icing, YUM! Also, it comes in a cute little box, which is adorable, and makes me smile to look at it.
The store is nicely decorated, and very clean. There are tables to sit down and enjoy your treat, if you so choose. From what I see, the selection is slightly limited. Portions are big enough to share. The service was fast and friendly. The price is slightly on the high side, $ 3.95 for one cupcake.
This place is cute, I do want to go back and try another one.
