Brandywine Auto Parts

The staff is good but after the deal there was an issue and the owners of this place had them tell me that I could go pound sand. I will never use this place again. If you live near them then it wouldn’t hurt to check them out but the people that one this place are HAPPY to cheat people. Also never get a warranty with them, its wasted money and won’t be honored.

I have bad expertise with Brandywine auto parts. I ordered a spare part for my car at 9.45 am and they told me that it will be ready after 2 hours. I waited till 2.15 pm .So i waited 4 hours and 30 minutes till i got the part .They even didn’t apologize for the delay.

I have to write as I have had a very good experience with Brandywine Auto Parts.
I live in Brooklyn, NY & had a minor collision over a year ago, which left my hood & fender visibly damaged. I found online that they had the same make/​model/​color — so I called & spoke to Patrick. He is a doll. He spent a good deal of time confirming the condition of the parts & letting me know. He has been very nice & helpful which has made my experience with Brandywine Auto Parts a success for me. I have decided to go pick the parts up, as I might want to purchase additional parts from that vehicle, and want to go take a look in person. I will update my review after pick up, but I anticipate a smooth process. Thank you Patrick!

I towed a car for a 80 year old man who was going have them install an engine for him for a $ 1000. He asked them if he could use their bathroom and they refused. Told him they had no public restrooms. They expected this man to pee on himself. I also asked because I couldn’t believe what I was hearing. It was true they refused. I took the customer and car back to dc for free. I called the main shop and the lady who answered the phone couldn’t believe what occurred. Said they would have manager call back. Never did. Great customer service. I will never tow another car to this location or have anyone of my customers use their company.

The best. I have bought parts from this company on and off for years and always had good results. They are efficient when you call and treat you good. I highly recommend them.

These guys are a joke! Just got off the phone with the guy and he says to me «I don’t know if I have a used seat for your truck or not» I would have to come down and look for myself! Real good customer service huh. Lol. Anyways I won’t be calling them again

Beware!!! I brought a used motor from these crook’s and let them install it, 5 months later the motor was no good!!! I only put a 1,000 miles on it and they told me I was out of the Warranty beat it!!! Please people do not trust these crooks!!!

Not a bad place, but you get what you pay for. I bought a used transmission here for my car. The price was great. It took about 3 weeks for them to install it (I think there’s a backup since they charge much less than other places that I found in the area). Initially they said the part would have about 50,000 miles on it but when I talked to the people at the installation building they said it probably had more like 70,000 miles on it. I don’t remember ever being offered a warranty on the part and I definitely would’ve bought one. Unfortunately the transmission went after about 18 months so it’s not covered under the regular 6 months warranty. Again, the prices are good and I wouldn’t necessarily avoid going there in the future but just make sure to get a warranty.

Nothing like calling a business to check their hours for a SPECIFIC day (and I DID CALL the Tuesday before thanksgiving at 12:37 am, since I’m lying sir) and then come late morning only to be told the hours are diff and they won’t be able to work on my car. I live in DC. I could’ve saved gas money gone around the corner and gotten my car worked on closer to home. I’d pay more for better customer service ANY day.

They have a great selection of parts, but they don’t give a crap about their customers. I was recently promised a discount on a wheel I had ordered and prepaid, due to the fact that they couldn’t find it when I drove down there – 45 minutes each way – to pick it up. When I came back a week later to get the wheel, the guy who had made the promise wasn’t there, and the lady at the desk just laughed at me ans said she wasn’t going t give me any discount, because I had gotten such a good deal on the wheel in the first place. (Which was patently untrue – other used parts stores in the area had quoted the exact same price.)
When I spoke to the manager about this, he just shook his head and said that should not have happened. The fact that he wasn’t willing to make good on his employee’s promise tells me all I need to know about this place: they cannot be trusted to keep their word, and their default position in a dispute is that the customer is wrong.
Bottom line: if you go there, make sure you get any promises in writing, signed, on the back of the business card of the person you’re talking to.

Their pricing is excellent but their website is useless. It says that you can place a request online and someone will get back to you in 24 hours. THEY NEVER DO! They should just remove that part from the website to stop annoying potential customers. Totally useless! Then when I called the yard asking about a bumper, the male who answered said, «I’m busy right now. We have all kinds of parts, you will just have to come check for your self» and hung up on me.
I realize that they can’t keep track of every nut a bolt from a used vehicle… but a bumper?
My advice is that if customer service means something to you, there is a smaller but better yard in Rockville. Apparently because of their size, they value every call, and every customer.

Helpful, Efficient, they have everything you’ll need and if they don’t, they’ll get it ASAP! Talk to AC, he’ll take excellent care of you!

I was very impressed with the level of service I received from the technicians here. I ended up getting a new part from them and it was a fraction of the cost another repair shop wanted to charge me. I was in and out quickly and they didn’t break my bank account. I will use this company for all of my repair needs from this day forward. I will agree that the front desk could be a bit more personable on the phone but the service from that point on outshines the abruptness over the phone. Thank you Brandywine Auto!

I didn’t normally buy used used auto parts, but I figured I’d do my part for the planet and save a few bucks. (Ok actually I couldn’t get the part anyplace else) I needed a bolt. 1 lousy bolt. 1 lousy bolt that nobody makes and such an odd size I could not get a substitute. AND I HAVE AN AMERICAN CAR!!! Anyway, I asked about the availability of the part in question, and was invited to «wander around the yard and see what you find» Well I found what I was looking for, 2 actually. So I happily returned to the counter to pay for my bolts. «That’s it??» I was asked. «Yep» I replied «a stupid bolt». «Hmm, well have a nice day». That was that. I got my bolt for free. I was so proud of myself. But I have to say it was nice of the guys at BAP to give me a bolt. May seem like just a bolt, but it holds the brake caliper on the front wheel. So a rather important bolt at that. Ok, so that was a nice experience. I decided to go back and see if I could get an A/​C compressor. I looked around for a new one but at $ 450, I thought…“Hmm…Used??” And sure enough I inquired about the part, and 10 mins later a mechanic comes out, puts it in a bag, explains a few intricacies, and sends me on my way for $ 75. Well, I put it in the car, and it works fine. Now I’m considering this used parts thing… save the planet, save some money. not a bad combination. Ok. the guys at BAP are cool, they can answer any question about just about any type of car, and if they don’t have the part, they can locate it anywhere in the country and for a reasonable price. Oh, yes they do warranty their parts for 101 days from purchase. Just keep your receipt. So now I’m thinking used first. maybe you should too. :-)
