Belk Department Store

Plus size clothing that’s affordable with a great selection!!! As someone who has just recently changed sizes drastically it’s very hard to find clothing that isn’t frumpy or animal print in plus size or that takes a paycheck to afford.
Belks had my maxi dresses in long lengths. Has winter clothes I get stopped u people to ask where I bought it. This store is a life saver. I wish I remembered the name of the sales associate that always helps me (I’ll update it when I know it) she’s wonderful!
The associate always make sure I have the most recent coupons with the best deals and they are super nice!

Store nearly empty! No baby boy clothes, one cosmetics counter employee, everything picked over and messy! Not impressed!

Not as good as other Belks. The store was small but had a decent selection.

When I’d heard people ‘rave’ about Belk, I highly anticipated my first visit. However, I was instead highly disappointed, at least at this location.
My experience with shopping in department stores runs along the lines of JCPenney’s over the past 25 years, then Dillard’s, Macy’s, Nordstrom and Von Maur (and not a fan of Von Maur locally). To me, this location looked little better than a spruced up TJ Maxx (I love TJ Maxx, but it doesn’t claim to be a department store!).
This location is very small, and the employees were too busy talking to each other in groups of two or three, and actually outnumbered the customers, on a Friday late afternoon. Not one offered any assistance, either to me or to other customers, despite practically running into them. The plus size department was crammed all together; while there might have been a large selection (no pun intended), it was nearly impossible to find anything, as the racks were butted up (again, no pun!) against each other. The cosmetics counters were probably as close to ‘real’ department store options, and that is not a compliment! I love Lancome’, but overall can’t stand the cosmetics counters.
There are other fun stores in the Landing; don’t plan on spending much time here!
