Bobby Jack’s

It was a short menu with a pulled pork sandwich, a Reuben sandwich, maybe a couple other sandwiches and a buffet. We both had the buffet which was excellent! I had fried chicken, barbecue ribs, a few small breaded shrimp (I think), mashed potatoes and gravy and macaroni and cheese. We were there around 5 o’clock and there were only six or eight people there. The buffet was well stocked and I started with a salad, fried chicken and mashed potatoes and gravy. I’m not a big salad eater but the salad bar was a bit basic. Other than that, the fried chicken was hot, moist and not overly breaded. It definitely wasn’t thin packaged mashed potatoes and the gravy was good also. And let’s not forget the mac & cheese. It had large shells and thick cheese sauce which was fantastic! After finishing my first plate, I went back for more mac & cheese and a few ribs. Like my wife said, the ribs were moist and the barbecue sauce was very tasty. It’s hard to find moist ribs at a buffet. My wife had a piece of their roasted chicken which she thought was really good but also felt that their ribs were excellent! She also had their pork and beans which was very good. And for dessert, we both shared their berry and apple cobblers which were fine. We think the buffet was around $ 12.50 but the quality was well worth it. And we can’t forget about the service. I think the waitress was extremely pleasant and must have come over to check on us at least three times.

Really enjoy the breakfast buffet. I’m not one to frequent buffets just because I don’t know how long the food has been setting out. Nice thing here is they don’t put a lot out when the buffet opens, they just keep it stocked. Been there twice now and the food was good both times. Also the price was fair for an all-​you-​can-​eat buffet. I’m sure I’ll be back.

Food had little or no flavor. Buffett was over priced and cold. Cobbler was all crust. Live singer was major disappointment for this being in Branson MO and all the great talent. Staff was very pleasant.
