It’s been a year since stayed there when I moved. I did have 2 chihuahuas. And stayed there for another week last October too for a court date. Guy who hit us from behind at a red light was trying to sue the city for a speeding ticket from the accident. We had been called to testify for the city. Guy lost. Judge slapped him more unrelated tickets. But he was relived to see us. Last he saw and knew my mom was being taken away in an ambulance and we got to talk to him and let him know we weren’t there to fight with him. And let him know we had no ill feelings against him and was glad he was ok too. You could see a years worth of guilt lift off him and color back to his face. But getting back to the hotel… I will stay there every time I go back to Branson! I got family that lives in Branson and Springfield. Take a day and get used to the back roads… They come in handy during tourist season!

First, I would like to thank the staff on site for fixing a reservation mistake early on. Without that change, this trip would never have happened. So we pulled into Motel 6 Branson around 7:00 after a last minute reservation change that morning. We had stayed here before a time or two, so we knew where the place was(it’s on a side street off of the Yellow Route and kind of hard to see unless you know where you are looking. Getting into our room, the room was by and large clean with no major issues. There weren’t any ashtrays or toilet paper, but a quick run down to the office fixed that. The A/C ran nicely and the place was generally quiet(of course, it was rather empty that day too). We took the kids to the indoor pool, which is a nice perk, after we got settled in and spent the evening at the pool. After swimming, we called it a night and tried to get some sleep. The beds, while decent, are not the most comofortable things on the planet. Granted, you are paying ~$ 50 where everyone else pays ~$ 100, so it’s expected. Waking up the next morning, we gathered our stuff and packed up ready to go. Checkout is a breeze — nothing complicated. In the end, we will stay here again when we travel to Branson on a budget.

We arrived on the Saturday of Labor Day weekend at about 5pm and there were about 6 people in front of us with only one person working the counter. Check-in took over 30 minutes as this clerk was checking in folks plus answering the phones. Arrived in a stagnant room that felt and looked like it had been shut up for much of the season. The AC in the room barely worked and, actually didn’t cool down the room until we check out…2 days later. The sheets and pillow cases were stained and we asked for them to be changed which they were. We also found hair, a dirty washcloth and bugs in the shower. Also had to dodge dog feces in the parking lot as this hotel apparently allows pets. Overall, it was just an «icky» experience.
