I am giving this 4 stars for what it is. A cheap hotel. It is not the hilton so I am not holding it to those standards. First do not be afraid of the lack of elevator. It is built into a hill so both levels are accessible without stairs. The pool was small and clean as was the hot tub. Neither has handicapped lift. Not sure if required here under ADA. Room was clean and smelled of nothing in particular. No weird stains, no excessive wear. This is not the hilton, no plush new carpet, but clean acceptable carpet. Cute touch of little throw pillows. Beds average, better than I would expect for 50 ish a night. The blankets were decent fleece and clean. Not the cheapest blankets I have seen. Towels were thick and nice. What a surprise! Small clean bathroom. Really hot shower. Watch the kids because it is hotter than 125. Fridge in room was cold, clean and defrosted. Did not eat the breakfast. Again 50 ish a night, woukd not expect a spread. Maid service daily. It loses a star because I do not understand why 14 – 17 year old kids warrrant an extra charge per night. We had 2 adults(mom and dad) under 14 brother and 14 – 17 sister. Either charge more overall or drop the silly charge.

Can I give negative stars? Checked in room was flooded… it was not an indoor pool, just a huge leak. Moved us to a room infested with flies. While this was October, it was not the Hallowed room. Don’t stay here just don’t. Dirty, smelly, slow to respond to requests(still waiting 4 hours after asking for extra towels) and while a few of the«older» staff was friendly, the younger was not. Don’t do this to yourself. Don’t stay here. It’s nsayy, nasty and did I mention nasty? Just thanking all that is holy I don’t have a black light to see the filth.

Where do I start? Only reason they even have one star is because of the price, that and Unilocal won’t let me give less than one. I book a 3 night stay through the weekend before the 4th of July through travelocity. At check in the front desk lady asks me if I have dog. Confused I told her that no I do not. She says they put me in a pet room which allows pets. I told her that I did not order a pet room but if it was the same as normal rooms and was clean then I guess it wouldn’t be a problem. She kept insisting that I had ordered a pet room even after I had told her it was fine. Kept telling me that that was what the order said(never actually showed me proof) and that I’d probably forgotten or accidentally clicked a pet room. Thought it was quite rude to keep insisting that I had done something wrong even after I dropped it. Got to the room and it was like time travel. Phone looked like it was 30 years old, as did the TV. Blankets were frayed and worn out. Shower was clean but also very old. Pillows however were actually quite fluffy. Fridge? No where to be seen, guess they hadn’t been invented yet. Got in late that night after seeing a show and tried to check my email but could not find a connection. Called the front desk to ask them about it since the website claimed to have free wifi. They told me that since I’d booked a pet room I would not be able to access the wifi from my room since the ceiling was too thick. They told me that if I wanted wifi I would need to either go to the lobby(which closes at 11, it was just pass 11) or sit by the pool. Yes, go sit by the pool that closes at 9 like a creeper by myself in the middle of the night. I had no idea that when a hotel says they have free wifi it doesn’t have to include all the rooms. Bonus is that I had been assured that pet rooms were absolutely the same as all other rooms besides they allow you to bring your pet. Woke up in the morning and checked out the so called continental breakfast. Breakfast was in what looked like a bingo hall. There were 2 loaves of bread, a case of assorted donuts, some bagels, cheerios, and a toaster. Coffee, apple juice, and milk. I’ve never seen such a sad breakfast but again I guess the price($ 49 a night) justified it. The second day after I came back I noticed my room had not been cleaned at all, no new towels or anything. Called the front desk and she told me to come up with my old towels and she’d give me new ones. So basically I had to clean my own room cause they wouldn’t send someone down to fix it? Not wanting to cause a problem I went to trade in my towels. The lady kindly informed me that since I booked a pet room(yes, she continued to use that to say it was my fault, as with the wifi) I had to put up a sign so they would know they can come in to clean. I loved that she never mentioned this before and the fact that this place looks obviously family run so they should have already known that we didn’t have a pet. Not even the price could justify this woman’s behavior. I will never stay here again. Pay a few extra dollars for some comfort and respect. If all the hotels in Branson are full I recommend you sleep in your car rather than stay here.
