Parents please don’t be fooled by the marketing/sales strategies the places use-both new perspective parents and current parents. I highly recommend not just doing a tour but spending VERY unexpected pop visits with intensive time IN the classrooms and NOT just a TOUR. Please be aware for your child if interested in this place. I wouldn’t be surprised if «any» good reviews were asked to be posted by the brain washed group of parents. You have choices please utilize your opinions! Driving a extra mile for children is WORTH it!!! I write this review as a former trainee/staff member from this building. The staff and location are the only things holding this place together and NOT the«owner». Discovery Point Braselton needs a thorough investigation because of the owner. The owner really should be in a white jacket and I am not talking about a doctors jacket. She is very narotic and very rudely dangerously aggressive. I whole hardly agree with the reveiws about her. This lady is NOT cut to be around children and HEROWN staff have made it clear that she’s ONLY the owner and this is NOT her field as she works a job in a totally different field therefore this poor place is ONLY for profit for her. I was offered a position here for the infant room and I refused due to in my opinion a unmanageable amount of infants in their infant class! I feel it’s not enough teachers in the class(which is a small issue!!!) the BIG issue– just tooooo many babies which is likly why every child appeared to be sick of some sort! Not to mention those poor babies are suck inside that small room allllll day. Wonderful teachers I worked with in this class during training/interview she-they deserves better(I hope they are reading). I was hired by her director after training and their strange interview process. I was asked by the director Claire to come by the after New Years Day 2014 to try another class and see if I would like the class more! I was excited! But wait this is where the real fun begin I walked in(and very unfortunately the director Claire was OFF) and there she was standing at the desk the«owner» oh boy she was really pressuring me to work in the infant room after I repeatedly told her I still wanted to try out the other room as the DIRECTOR and I agreed ON! So she finally(whew) let me see the other class and meet the teacher who was great. I came out of the room to meet the«owner» and without even getting 1 word in she said, «I want you to go in the infant room and just work there» NO ma’am not I no way. I would stay home before I agreed to that! Later that day I called and told her I would not accept her offer and that I perfer to work with the older kids. She agreed and said we can certainly do that and that she would see me on Monday January 5, 2015 and etcccc less than 3 hours later she called with another one of her very likely unmediated personalities of many I’m sure and told me a after school staff member wanted my JOB and that I was no longer hired, so basically after two weeks of hard work and back and forth etccc one of her personalities fired me on my day OFF and before I even began! Hilarious!!! Do you want your kids under the umbrella of a person like this? Umm NO. I have cared for children for the most respected family names in the America and I was fired by a Discovery Point owner who has ZERO experience in this field, who didn’t even give me the opportunity to actually ever WORK. Not to mention I’m sure I will never see a check for my training hours/how do you think a dishonest person is managing your money and kids! More importantly LOOK elsewhere and stay away as the other review mentioned she in incapable, mentally handicap, and possibly dangerous after reading other reviews of her! God Bless the staff and the children!!!

This Discovery Point opened October 2008. My husband and I took a tour in November 2008 and were so impressed with the facility and staff we enrolled our infant first born that very day. Due to maternity leave, our son began attending this learning center in February 2009. In 2011, our second son was born, and we immediately enrolled him. We have been amazed at the structured, loving, learning environment this«school» has provided for our two boys. The staff maintains daily communication with parents and/or guardians by the use of daily behavior forms and/or stamps. The academic expectations are rigorous, but obtainable for the children. The behavior management plans are clear and concise and explained to the parents and children. The staff focus on positive rewards such as encouraging comments to children and parents, stickers, stamps, show-and-tell, hugs, thumbs up, high fives, etc. When consequences are needed, they are handled with tough love. Our children learned 6 basic signs before they could speak. Our children were introduced to the basic Spanish words by the age of 3 months. The staff encourage family involvement, and are willing to actively listen to parent comments, concerns, and questions. This student-centered«school» offers extracurricular programs such as ballet, karate, and play ball(fundamentals of sports). Each classroom offers age appropriate educational toys and supplemental tools for the children. Hands-on learning, learning by dancing/singing, and repetition are used to differentiate instruction. In a nutshell, my husband and I have been extremely pleased with the professionalism of the staff, the cleanliness of the facility, and staff the up-to-date learning tools in each room. We also appreciate the way the staff follows state requirements for learning standards, cleanliness, and safety. After 5 years of being a part of the Braselton Discovery Point family, we are proud to admit we made the right decision on behalf of our children!

Let me preface this review by saying the teachers and staff at this facility are excellent and not the problem. The issue with this facility is the owner. Due to a meaningless event, the owner decided that a personal vendetta would be an appropriate action to take in the form of an increase of fees by over 200% without formal notice. Additionally when calling to discuss this matter as adults, the owner proceeded to verbally assault me and hurl slanderous accusations. The interaction was so aggressive that people within my office could hear the conversation thru a headset. The owner of the facility turned the situation in to an assault on my children by indicating«she wanted nothing to do with them» and wanted to immediately know when their last day was going to be. Had the owner been mature with our interaction, the incident between her and I would have been simply«water under the bridge» but when she framed the situation and she turned our interaction violently personal, my choice was to find another location with people who look to appreciate kids and not view them as a matter of business. When running a establishment situated around children, concern for the business and children have to go hand-in-hand and the owner showed her true colors. The owner for this facility should have her license for this business revoked.
