A large, if not musty, collection of almost every book that ever came out in paperback. Store is hidden away in the walk-​out basement level of a tall (for Brattleboro) building that houses numerous other businesses, ranging from a restaurant and art gallery to dance studio and home-​beer brewing business. Engage the owner of Baskets at your own risk; he is eager for company and, once involved in a conversation, is unable to stop talking or take a breath long enough for you to start making «I’m leaving» noises.
