Stopped here on our way home from Arizona and found this best western to be cleaner than most in big cities. The room was very spacious and the staff was very nice. Just as we walked in the door to our home we received a call from Rowena letting us know we had left my favorite pillow. She allowed some friends who were traveling behind us to pick it up. Having done this before I can say I’ve never gotten a call about anything I have left behind at any hotel. Clearly the staff is well trained and attentive to their guest. I will stay here anytime my friends are camping it Glamis.

Good Hotel, Clean and comfortable bed. The staff was great. But the management went above and beyond, when they found my son’s cell phone, they contacted us and shipped the phone at their cost to us. Awesome People.

Cons: Did not appreciate the hotel’s practice where housekeeping staff insists you leave the room before they clean it, especially when I needed to get some urgent work done on my laptop. The housekeeping person and front desk essentially said this policy is for the protection of their housecleaning staff. But protection from whom? Their guests? If so, this clearly means the hotel policy assumes beforehand that its customers could be potential threats to the safety of their staff. So ask yourself, do you really want to stay at a property with this kind of misguided mindset towards its guests? I have stayed at hotels throughout the world and have been a top tier member of a number of major hotel programs including this hotel brand, the Best Western, and I have never been seen a policy like this before where the hotel feels it’s necessary for their guests to leave their rooms before cleaning can take place in order to protect the housekeeping staff. I was also told it would be more convenient if I left the room while it was cleaned. But convenient for whom? It certainly wouldn’t have been convenient for me. The kicker is this. The front desk later explained that if a customer complains then the housecleaning staff would clean the room while it is occupied. So I ask, what’s the point of all this if it can be simply overridden by a customer request to the front desk? What happened to the concerns over the«protection» of the housekeeping staff? If a guest really wanted to any harm, they could easily do so by asking the front desk to make an exception to this policy. So I complained and after all this, my room was cleaned while I was in it. Frankly, as I see it, the only thing that is achieved by this easily overridden policy is that it needlessly increases the dissatisfaction level of the guest. I’ve stayed here a lot in the past; but definitely won’t be in future due to this pointless hotel policy. So if you need to be in your hotel room for most of the day, either to do some work or just to relax, I suggest you think otherwise and stay at another hotel where they won’t feel their housekeeping staff has to be «protected» from you. And frankly, if the hotel has this policy in place in response to something that has happened in the past, then maybe you should also think twice about staying here too. I guess this must be a new policy. I certainly know that, the last time I was here, there were no problems when housekeeping staff cleaned my room while I was in it The other thing that bothered me is that the repair guy who fixed the light switch in my room spent lot of time trying to promote a side business that he’s involved in. Didn’t really enjoy being hassled with kind of solicitation while I am in the hotel. I am in the travel business and these practices, in my opinion, are unwarranted ways for any hotelier to operate, particularly for one that is associated with a national brand. Maybe they need a visit from Anthony Melchiorri of Hotel Impossible to instruct them on how to better treat their guests. Pros: Good service from Rowena, Ginger and Josh. If not for these people, I would have rated this place 1 star.

Friendly Staff, clean & comfy rooms! I can not say enough good things about this hotel. It’s a great value in a nice little town. Parking, gym, pool, free wifi, breakfast and the jacuzzi suite all 5 stars. $ 20 pet fee, with no breed restrictions was the top reason for choosing this hotel. I really was pleasantly surprised, Best Western has really stepped up their game here. Some of the best customer service I’ve experienced. :)

I’ve had the opportunity to stay at this Best Western again. It certainly is an «Ahhh» moment returning to this hotel. It’s STILL my 1st/Best choice for hotels in this area. I’ve come to appreciate it so much more after staying in other hotels in the area(not my choice, employers choice!) STAYHERE when in the Imperial valley!

I lived in this hotel for 7 weeks. Friendly and helpful staff, a nice clean hotel. The breakfast is a basic hotel type breakfast but OK. I got sick of the liquid eggs and sausage and biscuits and hash browns made from powder quickly though. not much around in terms of restaurants in the immediate walking distance vicinity unfortunately. But the hotel itself is quite comfortable, just plan on likely driving to go eat dinner. the hotel pool is clean and well maintained and there is a nice jacuzzi… small gym with a couple multipurpose weight machines, a treadmill, an elliptical, and bike but it is also clean and well maintained and there is a TV with a remote one can ask for at the front desk. as gym is not used much in day A/C is often off but just ask at the front desk they will turn it on for you. the entire hotel staff is quite dedicated! a negative is that one can hear a lot through the thin walls of the rooms, although given that Brawley is very far from being a party destination and almost everyone who goes to this hotel is in town for work, I never found noise to be an issue, the place is usually dead quiet… so dead quiet I started to think I was dead, and then started thinking maybe I should find a job somewhere other than Brawley so that I could remember what it is like to be alive again.

If you’re ever as lucky as I was to have to go to Brawley for work, this is the place to stay. I knew it was safe to reserve a room here, especially since all the other hotels in the area had unrecognizable names. I only stayed one night, so there isn’t much to review. The staff was courteous and helpful, even allowing me to check out at check in so I could just leave the room the next day. The room was very clean and the bed was comfortable. My only issue was with the water pressure in the shower, but thats how it goes with nearly every hotel.

Overall: At these prices, I don’t expect you’ll do much better in the Brawley area. But that’s the only reason I’m giving it a 3– vice 2-star rating. The Good: Every staff member we had contact with was helpful, courteous, and professional. Also, they actually had protein(eggs, sausage, and bacon) at the free breakfast buffet! The Bad: While it’s apparently pretty new, they really cheaped out on this facility. The walls and doors are paper thin; weird noises and hallway conversations invade your room. The latch on the bathroom door didn’t work right. The phone emitted only a buzz. The noisy, crappy wall-mounted heater/AC left the room stuffy even after running all night. The choice of interior colors can only be described as funeral parlour chic. And while they had protein at the buffet, the coffee was the standard weak dishwatery brew that most m/hotels tend to serve up. The Ugly: This part of Brawley stinks like a cattle feedlot. Not BW’s fault, but they chose the location. Also, while I’m as Green as the next guy, when I’m away from home I don’t usually sleep well, and I need a little extra from my morning shower — not a dribble from some low-flow shower head. You can save the planet on your own watch. Give me some hotel water pressure!
