Totally awesome neighborhood bar. Ray is the owner/bartender…he tells great stories and makes sure that everyone that comes in feels welcome. He also makes it a point to introduce everyone to each other so that you can make new friends. Cold beer at good prices and a fun and safe place to hang out.

What can I say about Ray and Naty’s Place? I’m telling you this place is absolutely magical. Ray is the greatest bartender to ever walk this great Earth. The conversations are without a doubt the most enlightening that I have ever had at a bar or in church. Coldest beer, the best popcorn on Earth, a dog named Goodboy, and history that is unbelievable. But don’t you ever doubt Ray. He speaks nothing but the truth. GREATESTBAREVER.

We drove all the way from LA just to see Ray. If you come to Brawley you MUST come by this place to have the coldest beer ever!

Ray left such a great impression on my my boyfriend and my best friend, we drove back from LA for her 30th to have a birthday bash at Naty’s Place and it was the best dirty 30 I’ve ever been too. Whenever you can pass through Brawley, make sure you stop by and say hi to Ray — you won’t regret it.

Among the most welcoming drinking spaces we’ve ever been invited into. The owner Ray is an extremely open, kind, and hospitable bartender, slinging Mexican and American lagers out of a vintage cooler. The ceiling is plastered with $ 1 bills from patrons all over the world, and over a cold beer and a bowl of spicy homemade popcorn, Ray will tell you all about the history of the local area and attractions. GoodBoy, his dog, eagerly greets you as soon as you step foot into the room. Bring singles to post on the ceiling or to change for quarters to use on the large pool table, challenge the locals to a game or two. They’ll be good sports if you win a few times.

Just say hello to ray gussman the proprietor and he will tell you wonderful stories of his heritage in Mexico rising to pass the California bar, as well as all his colorful experiences in Brawley. A must for locals and those passing through. Do not miss this colorful, vibrant location. You may be the only customers initially but friends and strangers from around the globe seek out Natty’s, Ray and his loyal friend, his dog Goodboy.

Phil… I read your review to Ray. He knows and was really happy about it. Like Phil said, greeted like old friends. My buddy and I rode in on motorcycles mid summer, we had a great time hanging out with Ray and GoodBoy. His stories are genuine… Google pictures of places we have both been and he knew the places near there. He’s a great guy. Had a great time. We will be stopping back by on our way back through.

One of the finest receptions we have had anywhere. Ray and his dog, Goodboy, welcomed us in as though we were long lost friends. We were the only ones in the place and we sat up at the bar as Ray regaled us with tales of building a house for his dog and the time Prince William came in for a beer a couple of years ago and sat just where I sat. The beers we icy cold and his wild conspiracy tales convincing. We learned all about the microchips the government is planting in people and about his experiences buying a lovely used Lexus(only 35,000 on the clock). We were allowed to smoke in the bar and we have never had a barman come out to the car to wave us off. Perhaps the best bar I have been to in twenty years. I want to stay in Brawley for a week just to hangout with Ray. Sadly he won’t read this as he doesn’t use computers because of the government. Wise man.
