Ann Taylor has good quality clothes for the price. They are certainly not low prices, but this stuff seems to last. Sure, some pieces seem targeted for a more mature crowd, but they are all really gorgeous, and there are definitely things for younger women as well. If you find a location with a good sale rack, its like hitting a jackpot, there is just so much good stuff, and when it goes on sale it’ll be a big difference, often as much as half off! I’ve found that their suits are a good fit for my body type. They have a great selection for special occasions too, including even bridesmaid and simple wedding dresses– but also dressed up pieces for any special occasion. Last time I was here, I spotted this super cute black dress and went in to try it on. Unfortunately, they didn’t have it in my size but the sales associate who was helping me, looked all over the place for it to check; she eventually located one for me in another store :-)

I went in tonight looking for a suit for an upcoming interview. Elizabeth and Shawntee(i hope I didn’t misspell her name) were SO helpful and went above and beyond. It meant so much to me to have such wonderful ladies help me out the night before an interview to help me feel comfortable and confident in my new suit and blouse. I think they could really feel my sincere appreciation because I got hug from Shawntee! I got a little choked up because it’s not often you come across such great customer service that it feels like you’ve made instant friends. It helped put me a little more at ease and better prepared for my interview. THANKYOULADIES!!! It meant so much to me.

Virginia was amazing! I went in there with my husband looking for some professional clothes for work and she literally helped dress me! She walked around the store with me and helped with my styles and color coordinations. I really don’t have much a sense for style but I know this is a good store. She brought me different sizes to the dressing room and everything. She was by far a great experience! Go visit Virginia at Ann Taylor in the mall, she will help greatly with anything you need!

Jackie(manager?) was very sweet and friendly. If it wasn’t for her, the experience would’ve been much worse. I’m not really a mall shopper; I prefer to buy things online. But oftentimes, online purchases turn out to be less flattering on yourself than on the model in the picture. Right before Christmas, I ordered $ 1,067 of clothes and shoes from Ann Taylor. I eagerly awaited the items’ arrival but when they came, I found some general problems: –All of the pants are way too long –All of the regular skirts are an inch or two too short –All of the shoes are too narrow for my feet So in the end, I decided to keep a few tops, 1 pair of pants, 1 skirt(marked long), and one pair of shoes and I had a huge box of items to return. When I walked into Ann Taylor, I tried to be pleasant with the associate, knowing that she would be working on my returns for a long time. I tried to point out certain items on certain shipping receipts. She kept making comments that made me feel uncomfortable. I’m sorry that I ended up only keeping ¼ of the items I bought but if I had tried clothes on in a store, I probably would only buy 1 out of 4 items. Even with the volume of my returns, I still kept $ 250 of stuff. She made the following comments which I found to be somewhat inappropriate(past the point of curiosity): 1) Jackie said, «wow, did you buy all that?» Before I could answer, the associate said in a snappy voice, «Yea, and she’s returning everything now.» I told her I wasn’t returning EVERYTHING. 2) A few minutes later, she asked me. «Are you keeping ANYTHING?» I said yes again and mentioned a few of the items that I kept. 3) She then asked me what was wrong with the clothes. «You know, we have other sizes in the store you can try.» I told her it wasn’t the size but the specific cut of the clothes(ie pants too long, skirts too short, shoes too narrow). She told me to get the pants hemmed. 4) When she opened one of the boxes of shoes, she told me «These look like they’ve been worn.» I told her that I had only«worn» them in my living room for at most 3 minutes. Honestly, any longer and my feet would’ve felt numb by the tight squeeze. She then proceeded to tell me that they«would never sell shoes with soles that are worn.» Well, the shoes were like that when they arrived in the box. Luckily, in the end she gave me a refund. On the way out, Jackie asked me if I wanted to look around before I left. If Jackie had been helping me the whole time, I definitely would have looked around but because of this other associate, I couldn’t wait to get out of there.
