Closed bc the food is bland, cold, and not appetizing? Pasta is cold bc all the pasta is cold, the sauce is Luke warm and all the ingredients are cold. You combine everything and it’s a cold pasta dish that’s heavy on cream and light on flavor. You get volume of ingredients bc u pick which ones you want, but it’s not worth $ 7.50.

Thought this was a pretty nice twist to the DIY pizza joints. Or, as everyone else compared it to, «like a Pie-o-logy.» However, Burrissimo has its perks compared to the latter pizza joint. Likes +Not extremely busy with every table filled. *Ahem, Pie-o-logy!* +Nice comfy booths to sit in, similar to those you’d find at a restaurant like CPK, Olive Garden, [Insert chain restaurant name here] +That the gluten-free crust tastes better than the non-gluten free crust, according to the gal server +That they have pasta AND salad, in addition to pizza. Like, for all the other pizza places similar to this, they *only* have pizza. What if your dining buddy isn’t feeling pizza that night? Voila! Burrissimo is your answer:) Food It’s not the best but the pizza tasted healthier than Pie probably due to the fact that they don’t have as many oils to coat the pizza with. The pizza was pretty good and flavorful with lots of veggies. My favorite part is that this is just a quiet non-populated place to sit and have a good conversation. It’ll probably be poppin with peeps soon, so go enjoy the environment while you still can.

This place is also another«chipotle» look a like. Same concept as them except it offers salads, burritos, pizza & pasta. If you want gluten free crusts here. Its $ 2.99 extra by the way. Pieology i think theres no price difference. For your info. Burritos and pizza has already been done so decided to go with the pasta. The pasta itself was ok but honestly… I cant stand how it tasted with fresh ingredients. I actually would prefer picking toppings for my pasta and having it cooked together with the sauce to marinate the pasta with the fresh ingredients. Actually felt like my pasta was a goddamn pizza instead. Maybe should have just went with the build your own pizza. At least my ingredients would have been baked in the oven with the crust. Whats cool is that when your pizza is ready the serve it out to you instead of calling your number or name to come up to pick it up. Their fountain water. The lever is broken. Should really get that fixed. Had a hard time moving that lever around just to get some water. And its a brand new store too??! And your fountain thing is broken?! Thats sad. Very very sad…

I have been here many times and can only speak to their pizzas for now and they are I think a great value and taste great. You choose your own sauce, cheese, toppings, and there’s no limit on what you can pile on. The dining room is nice and clean most of the times I’ve been here and they even have a little out door seating so you can bring your dog along. I wouldn’t travel a long way like some of the reviewers to eat here but if you are say at the mall it’s worth a trip. Yes the pizza is a little greasy but not nearly as bad as most places. They offer gluten free crust for $ 3 extra.

$ 7.45 for a burrito is expensive, but the steak and peppers burrito here is pretty good. Stuff here tastes fresh but that doesn’t necessarily mean healthy. Lots of carbs and calories for sure here too. The garlic knots were average and so was the cinnamon dessert pizza thing. Interior was nice and clean. Also they do have wine and beer here for purchase. Would go back again if had a craving for the burrito again.

Groupon deal for two entrees and drinks. Ventured from Santa Ana to try this place out so had some high hopes with good Unilocal reviews. Decent décor, cool w a/c, tables looked dirty like they hadn’t been wiped down after a busy day… Ordered a steak n’ peppers burrito and the gf got the Oh My Omega Salad. First off, pasta in a burrito? I was curious so I went for it. After one bite I could tell this meal was Going to be a disappointment. None of the veggies or steak really had any flavor at all. I powered through a subpar burrito deciding never to try another Italian-inspired burrito. My gf’s salad also was lacking in flavor. The salmon tasted like a frozen salmon steak should once cooked, a little tough and flavorless. My gf DID say however that the fresh brewed iced tea was delicious… Overall, never again would I make this trip because of a groupon deal let alone to go here on a random night.

Groupon deal, optimistic due to good reviews and concept. Reality= a piss-poor meal. 1) Wife’s burrito with meatballs: meatballs were PINK inside. Bright pink. Very scary. 2) My burrito with chicken/Alfredo sauce: meh. Alfredo sauce reminded me of dormitory-style. No real flavor other then some pepper. A pretty poor sauce. 3) Kids split a pizza and it was solid cheese/grease. Pretty nasty. They both only ate one slice(and my kids love pizza.) Garlic knots were ok, but pretty greasy as well. Sounds like the salad bowls are a better option. We’re not gonna find out. If the rest of these reviews are digging on it, cool. Some people will enjoy it. We were impressively underwhelmed. No thanks, never again.

The best salad you can get for the price. Period. Tons of delicious and healthy options for your salad. Seriously everyone, I’ve been here for two weeks now and every time I eat their salad, I still can’t believe how good this is. And their garlic knots… I’d come just to order those alone. Haven’t tried anything else on the menu yet because I’d be sad if I came and didn’t get the bomb salad.

I like options, but sometime there are just too many. For example I don’t like Five Guys Burgers because there are like 99 opitons to put on the hamburger. With Burissimo I stayed away for this reason, but once I tried it I was pleasantly surprised. I had the Salmon Salad Bowl for just under 8 bucks Tasty Salmon with assortment of grilled and fresh veggies(add spinach for iron) tossed in red bell pepper pesto dressing. I did forget to add the Italian corn and ratatouille, which I will add next time. My wife had a Chicken Pesto Pizza(also just under 8 bucks) which was even tastier. Minced chicken with pesto sauce, tomatoes, bruchetta, and mozzarella cheese. Size and quality of the pizza makes this a steal for just 8 bucks, easily could be sold at CPK for 15.99 Note the Salmon Bowl you will get right away, you will have to wait about 5 mins for the pizza to bake.

GREAT, huge salad bowl at a GREAT price! Five stars is strictly for the food(parents got it for me since I was at a basketball tournament). Had the to-go order of the Oh-My-Omega Salad w/o the feta. Includes salmon, mushrooms, spinach, mixed greens, corn, ratatouille, and artichoke hearts, dressed with their red pepper dressing. So delicious and healthy! Definitely going back to try the rest of their menu!

For about $ 7 – 8, you can make your own pasta, pizza, or burrito — Italian style! Size is about the same as chipotle. Lots and lots of food !!! Also there are tons of ingredients you can choose from. Various pasta sauces like pesto, alfredo, marinara, and a pink sauce I think. There are also non-Italian sauces like ranch … They also have lettuce, ratatouille, corn salsa, regular salsas. Everything you can think of that would taste good on either a pasta, pizza, OR burrito can be found here! Putting pasta in your burrito. carbs galorE! Yum!

I like the concept of a chipotle style restaurant for Italian food, but I don’t think it really works out with certain dishes. I got a pasta bowl, and the pasta was undercooked. In the midst of eating it, I realized that I could probably make better pasta myself for a fraction of the price. I mean, all they really do is toss pasta, sauce, and vegetables together in a bowl for you. If I were to venture back here, it wouldn’t be for this dish.

Burrissimo is a build your own type of place in the same vein as Chipote, Pieology, etc, but with an Italian twist. Choose your ingredients as a pizza, salad, pasta or wait for it… Italian burrito(FYI — during the time I was there, I saw ZERO burritos go down the line). Choices include angel hair, penne(gluten free pasta is also available, but for $ 2.99 extra, which seems rather pricey), chicken, steak, salmon, alfredo, pesto, pomodoro and then a bunch of veggie and cheese toppings. My pizza was good, but I thought they were a little chintzy with the toppings. I guess I could have said more, more, MORE! Like I asked for spinach and they gave me 5 leaves. Oh well. The portion of pasta was huge, but I wish it was hotter. I think the pasta is kept at room temperature(not sure about the sauce) so it was kind of lukewarm. I like that everything is customizable, but some people(ahem, my dad) just don’t like choices. I wasn’t blown away by the food at Burrissimo, but I would come back and if you’re in the mood for reasonably healthy, reasonably priced Italian-ish food, then definitely check it out.

I had newly converted to fishytarian, well, for this week at least, and was pretty darned excited to give Burrissimo a try. It was 1145A and it wasn’t too busy at the time. The ladies at the counter were nice, although were a bit careless with throwing the ingredients into that paper bowl, which was quite large by the way. There are tons of options, maybe too many! I saw a few people that were like ummmmm… i dont know… umm. Yes, those same people that hold up drive-thru lines. Because fish was my only option for that day, I went ahead with the Oh My Omega and just added extra veggies. The portion was large, moreso since all I paid was $ 8. I loved the combo of all the veggies, cooked and raw, The fish was a good size but slightly overcooked. Loved the red pepper pesto. Overall, I was pretty satisfied with my $ 8 meal. Pretty sure I’ll find my way back here.

What a fun idea! Think Pieology and Chipotle but for Italian food… and everything is made in front of you with friendly customer service and unbeatable prices. There was a Groupon deal for this where you could purchase two entrees and two drinks for 11 bucks, and it was definitely worth the money. In fact, it was so good that my husband bought one for us in the future. For great quality«fast» food, this place is legit.

When I read about Burrissimo on Unilocal,I bookmarked it right away since it is exactly like PIADA in Columbus and we loved eating there. I’m not even going to guess who got the idea from whom, but PIADA has been around for years… just saying. But really, who cares, the food is fabulous! Chipotle style food is what people like, fast fresh, not too expensive and something new and exciting, not just burgers again. Prices are fair, portions descent, service is great. I had the salmon salad with every single topping and my husband the wrap with steak. Unfortunatly this location is nothing like the one in Costa Mesa. The salmon has skin on it, not a fan of having to scrape my food before i eat. No crispy chicken which my husband loved, he had the steak here and said it was no good. No pepperoni sticks for the kid, but they do offer pizza which he wasn’t in the mood for. I still love Burrissimo, but this location is just not up to par.

To sum this place up it is italian food served using the Chipotle concept. you can get your item as a burrito, pasta bowl, pizza or salad. Me, I went for the pasta bowl. First off let me tell you that the bowl is humongous! I easily got 2 meals out of 1 bowl. Way more food then I needed. for the bowls they offer a couple of pre fixed bowl options but I opted to go for the build your own bowl. You can choose from a couple of differnet pasta selections: Angel Hair, Penne, whole wheat penne and i’m pretty sure they had a gluten free pasta available. I chose the Angel Hair. Then you select what kind of meat: chicken, steak, and a few other options. you then go on to chose your sause, toppings, etc. Has all your basic pizza topping selections. While they were building my bowl I started to get the feeling I wasnt going to like it but after eating some of it I realized that its not that bad. And for the price I certainly got my moneys worth. I wouldnt mind coming back but I dont think I would go out of my way for it. And I do want to try their pizzas.

The atmosphere is comfortable(it’s brand new, no remnants of the old Fitness Grill whatsoever); the staff is nice. You have a choice of building a burrito, pasta bowl, salad or pizza(the pizza crust can be gluten free for $ 2.99 extra). The portions are huge. One salad bowl and one pasta bowl could feed a family of four realistically. The burritos are equally humongous; it can feed two people. Ingredients are fresh, you have a wide variety of ingredients to choose from. I highly recommend the red pepper pesto salad dressing for your salad. Overall this restaurant is the ideal place to have a good bite to eat and leave full. I highly recommend this place. Being a Brea resident, I can see myself coming on a regular basis because you an make it your way!

So far, so good! Stopped by for lunch and had a pasta bowl. I was a little bummed that the only pasta they have is angel hair(I prefer penne), but it probably is a good call on their part. As others have mentioned, this is just like Chipotle or Pieology. Service was a little sketchy, but the staff is clearly still learning the ropes and I am sure they will get better(and learn what«freshly ground pepper» is). Despite still figuring some things out, everyone was very nice. My pasta bowl was really good(angel hair pasta, chicken, grilled mushrooms and zucchini, artichoke hearts, alfredo sauce) and the size was pretty big. Total was $ 8 and seemed fair for what I got. The interior of the restaurant is very nice — I would totally eat there(today’s meal was to go). I will be back!
