Near the house and drinks were great and bottom-​less soft drinks and the enchiladas were perfect and the the street tacos were great. Bartenders could be more friendly and smile more. Only good Mexican place in Brea (that’s for sure) and I do like the cheap prices so I’ll be back. I love that they have a large selection of Tequilas and lots of TVs for watching the games.

This is a nice place for lunch, I have never been here for dinner so I do not know how dinner is. The lunch is great. The service is fast once they come around. They do serve the regulars first and that is kind of a let down. I would have given them another start for better service. We got here and waited for service. A regular came in and they provided him service and he had a drink and lunch well before we did so watch out for that. The food was ok and the place is clean. This place needs to adjust service so everyone is treated the same and regulars cant walk in and get preferred service over everyone else. I may not go back just because of that…

Used to come in the bar for great service & food. Service in the bar is terrible since Julia left. We miss her. No plans to return as the service is not even close to par anymore.

I love Cabo! The food is great, and the staff is even better. We’ve been coming for years and the quality hasn’t diminished at all. If the salsa isn’t as hot as you’d like, then ask for something hotter, the staff will happily bring your something more.
Jen, one of the bartenders, is sweet, attentive and friendly. She keeps your water refilled, makes sure you have what you need, and makes AMAZING cocktails! I love Jen!
The rest of the staff is great too. Cecy, Charlie, Fernando, Ponchis… they’ll all take care of you and are always happy to see you. Javier, the Chef, makes some amazing carnitas with chile verde, the pozole is delicious, but the carne asada tacos take the cake. YUM.
The weekends offer bottomless champagne from 9 to 1 pm… and who can say no to that. They also have Happy Hour from 10 to 4 on the wekends.
And, if you’re a sports fan, the bar has 4 TVs always tuned to a variety of sports — INCLUDING SOCCER!!! US Soccer, EPL, La Liga, Mexican league… etc.
This place is fun, unpretentious and offers great food and drinks. Give it a chance, you won’t be disappointed.

One of our favorite restaurants. The food is very good and they make a great margarita. Try and sit in the bar during Happy Hour. It is a good deal. We always feel at home when we go there. Jennifer and Julia who work in the bar always remember us. They are usually very busy, yet take the time to make us feel welcome. The service is great. Yes, they are busy, but they are also very good about checking back to make sure we have everything.
Make sure you check the menu. Unlike most Mexican restaurants, they offer a lot of choices to go with your meal. The different rice and bean selections are very good. They also have a salsa bar, not large, but good.

A must visit Mexican restaurant! Super friendly staff and delicious food keeps me coming back. I have been coming to this place for over ten years. Great place to bring the family for a quiet dinner or meet friends in the bar for food and drinks. The food has that authentic made at home taste that is hard to find these days. I highly recommend the Cadillac margarita.

We just loved Cabo. The Aroz~con~pollo is the best anywhere. The fajitas are very tasty and came in a good sized portion. Cecelia was a terrific server. She kept our drink glasses full and always had a smile. Great place. Highly recommended.

Very Pleased!!! Love this place. I previously had a negative visit and I sent a Unilocal review and to my surprise I received a gift card in the mail to try them again and we did! The service next time around was great and the food was great. We love this place and will continue to visit! Thank you. I love love love the jalapeño white rice. What a great option to Spanish rice. Not many places offer that. In fact I think we will visit you tomorrow!!!

Most is good. Breakfast is good. Omelette covered in ranchero sauce which is delicious.
Don’t order anything with ground beef. I think they use powdered taco seasoning and it’s extremely salty. I love salt and it’s too much ever for me.

Love this place! Nothing but great service and great vibes. Definitely a nice spot that has both a restaurant and bar feel. Whether you choose to sit down and eat in the restaurant or to grab a seat in the bar area, you can’t go wrong! Especially with their happy hour ;)

New Taco Tuesday joint! Very excited to have found a delicious taco Tuesday place with a great deal! Service was very good, I did not have to ask for a refill our server was on top of it.
The bar area is rather small so we had to sit in the dining area. No biggie, the complimentary chips and salsa were bomb!

I came here with my parents after not having/​craving Mexican food for a long time. I’ve lived in Brea for 10 years, and it’s my first time eating at this restaurant after hearing from a friend about this restaurant.
When I sat down, there was an odd smell, like old towel-​smell, that was very unpleasing. However, the food came out fast and the complimentary nachos/​salsa was a great part of their service. Service was good, but not super excellent.
I ordered the Carne Asada Especial plate with cheese enchilada. I was 100% satisfied with my meal and the plate had everything you needed to satisfy one’s Mexican food cravings. They have a lunch special menu and «7 days a week» happy hour.
All in all, I’ll definitely be coming back for drinks and food. Thanks Cabo!

One of our go to places in Brea. Great food and great service. You get served two different kinds of salsa that are both great.
The place gets packed on taco Tuesday.
The chile Colorado and Chile Verde are some if the best we’ve had. A few nice options are 3 different kinds of beans, ranchero style that are killer, refried and black. Also different styles of rice, traditional Mexican rice or white rice with Jalapeño. This rice is too hot for me but delicious!
Jules at the bar really does a great job with drinks and always gives awesome fast service.
Overall, food, drinks, service and ambiance are great. I recommend this place if you’re in the area!

Pretty average place. Good place to socialize and drink with friends. I’m not a fan of the food at all though. We had a platter thing with nachos and some kind of tacitos but the meat just tasted bad. I guess I’d go again to meet friends but not to eat.

My opinion is that this place gets a bad wrap for no reason. It doesn’t deserve 3.5 stars. I love the food and drinks here. I typically order the chile rellleno or the enchilada plate with jalapeño rice. They give comp chips and salsa with every take out order.
I don’t remember currently but they did have a Wednesday tequila tasting special a little while ago (lots of fun). I need to go back soon!

Cabo is a excellent choice there service was above beyond my waiter was excellent well trained staff there choice of Mexican food is great salsa and chips are free with your order ask for red salsa omg it’s so good.

Great Food
After reading reviews, my wife and I were looking to satisfy our Taco Tuesday fix and found this place! Our waiter Juan was fantastic, great taco baskets and great nachos, we will be back!!!

Who knew! My golf buddies decided to try this after a 6 am to 11:00 am round at coyote hills CC. We were famished. My team won so the other guys had to buy. So being famished, no breakfast (just a snickers and a diet coke about the 15 hole) Idecided on the mondo burrito. and cause they were buying I went for it.
One of the losers got his (regular burrito) first. it was huge too so I thought mine was that sized. Then they went back to get mine.
Wholly guacamole!!!
It was enough for all of us! I gave a quarter away, and still had more than half left!
The family is eating Mexican tonight for dinner, maybe breakfast too!
But for as big as it was it was one of the best ever! The orangey sauce and diced chicken tastes like a Mexican pot pie.
Gooey, loaded with guacamole tones of chicken not a lot of beans or rice it must weigh 4 lbs!
